Ill miss it when i go to secondary school next year(my friend even joked that she was going to purposely fail her PSLE so that she can stay back at school to eat the food 😂😂)

And can I add, my school has like twenty different options for lunch, but we don’t get trays we have little cardboard boxes (like that you get at a fair sometimes) and the hamburgers are over done, the chicken patties are pink, there’s no soda but a million different options for angry water, and occasionally the taco bar and the counter that changes everyday are good.

Funny enough Japanese sweets go all out with the sugar, it's just that American sweets are more pronounced with the sugary taste. Japanese sweet will tend to have more sugar, but it's mostly going to be masked by the taste of chocolate, honey, taro, matcha, or red bean.

In Japan, we would receive our next month's lunch menu. It had the ingredients and the total calories and other nutritional info. I was always looking forward to lunch and we were excited when we had things we loved in the menu . Everyday we ate something different.

Where I live here in Japan, some of the vegetables they serve in their lunches come from vegetables grown by the kids in their school farm. The kids harvest them, and they are taken to the school kitchen where the lunch ladies cook everything from scratch. They don’t use frozen, pre-cooked food. It’s a way to teach kids about growing what they eat. I love that part. ❤️

The school I went to use to cook food from scratch (like fried chicken and pizza) but thanks to Michelle's "healthy" lunch programs all that got removed and we weren't allowed to have seconds. Eventually the cafeteria ladies realized growing boys need bigger portions (I'm assuming they at least based the portions on the amount girls ate, though they may have been under feeding girls too, but it clearly wasnt made with boys in mind) and started letting us get seconds. Nah I’m American and the school I went to had better food than in the video. Idk maybe it’s my opinion but I really loved it and kind of miss it. It tasted so good and when they changed the gross pizza to something actually good I cried because I was leaving the school that year and they had the nerve to build the gym that year. Like what’s up with that?

Same I I'm from Denmark too I hated the schools food personally but it wasn't terrible. In high school We got sandwiches, bread with cheese, pasta, salads, yogurt, cake n cookies, fruits n veggies (the quick stuff you could buy) and then they had a restaurant and they'd serve curry, octopus and kimchi, pastas (it always changed) for drinks we had pretty much anything.. smoothies, soda, chocolate milk, lemonade, water etc.. but there were loads of places to eat near the school. I just ate at home tho

The school I went to use to cook food from scratch (like fried chicken and pizza) but thanks to Michelle's "healthy" lunch programs all that got removed and we weren't allowed to have seconds. Eventually the cafeteria ladies realized growing boys need bigger portions (I'm assuming they at least based the portions on the amount girls ate, though they may have been under feeding girls too, but it clearly wasnt made with boys in mind) and started letting us get seconds. The fact that the nutrition standards Michelle championed didn't take into account the metabolism rates of growing teenagers shows how much the 2008-2016 administration really knew about food and health
