Some great recommendations here for me to look into I like the sound of the adult fantasy and Percy Jackson. This year for me has been a rotten one in terms of book picks for some reason but if i had to recommend one it would be The Other Side of Mrs Wood. An atmospheric victorian story about a famous medium striving to stay on top with new talent coming onto the scene. Great video gavin 😊
It was in my best of 2022. I pondered adding it again cause I loved the Golden Age arc but then I’d also have to include One Piece and Blood on the Tracks (also in my 2022 best video) and decided I didn’t want to make a repetitive list 😊 but I would love to make a favourite manga so far video at some point
I loved Everyone in my family has killed someone! I haven’t seen the live show yet because I was at a baby shower while it was happening but I’m off to go watch that now that I’ve gotten a reminder :) My top ten this year are probably: Once There Were Wolves Happy Place Howl’s Moving Castle Anne of Green Gables Wundersmith Half a Soul The Dead Romantics The Night Circus In an Absent Dream & either Wrong Place, Wrong Time or Sorrow & Bliss for my 10th place I had some great books this year but hope next year is a better reading year for us both
I did read Everyone in my family has killed someone by Benjamin Stevenson last month and it's definitely five stars read for me. It even might be on my top 10 books of 2023 😊 There are still couple books I want to read before I decide my top 10 books. Edit: I almost forgot 😅 Benjamin Stevenson released new book and I'm so excited to read that one too.
It wasn’t the best reading year for me either. I don’t even have a full list of 10. In no particular order: 1. Bookshops and Bonedust by Travis Baldree 2. Delicious Monsters by Liselle Sambury 3. Gav, I have almost completely fallen off the BookTube wagon. 2023 has been a LOT. But I miss your face so I'm back. 😊
I really wanna read the lies of Locke lamora and black iris!!
Loved "Everyone In My Family has killed" someone as well!❤
Some great recommendations here for me to look into I like the sound of the adult fantasy and Percy Jackson. This year for me has been a rotten one in terms of book picks for some reason but if i had to recommend one it would be The Other Side of Mrs Wood. An atmospheric victorian story about a famous medium striving to stay on top with new talent coming onto the scene. Great video gavin 😊
thought berserk would be here, maybe next year after you finish the full series!
I haven’t seen the live show yet because I was at a baby shower while it was happening but I’m off to go watch that now that I’ve gotten a reminder :)
My top ten this year are probably:
Once There Were Wolves
Happy Place
Howl’s Moving Castle
Anne of Green Gables
Wundersmith
Half a Soul
The Dead Romantics
The Night Circus
In an Absent Dream
& either Wrong Place, Wrong Time or Sorrow & Bliss for my 10th place
I had some great books this year but hope next year is a better reading year for us both
I did read Everyone in my family has killed someone by Benjamin Stevenson last month and it's definitely five stars read for me. It even might be on my top 10 books of 2023 😊 There are still couple books I want to read before I decide my top 10 books.
Edit: I almost forgot 😅 Benjamin Stevenson released new book and I'm so excited to read that one too.
I LOVE that hoodie! May I ask where it's from?
Absolutely, it's merch from the TH-camr 'Swoop'. Just search their channel and their shop is linked!
@@GavinReadsItAll Thank you
Hahahha i would recommend reading this in the dungeon next to an oubliette! 😂
It wasn’t the best reading year for me either. I don’t even have a full list of 10. In no particular order:
1. Bookshops and Bonedust by Travis Baldree
2. Delicious Monsters by Liselle Sambury
3. The September House by Carissa Orlando
4. A House With Good Bones by T. Kingfisher
5. Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
6. The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher
7. System Collapse by Martha Wells
8. The Hacienda by Isabel Canas.
Top 10? Whew... That's like the amount I read the whole year so best I can do is give my Top 3.
1. Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation
2. The Girl who fell beaneath the Sea
3. Legendborn
Top 10 books: killing stalking series, counting the cost, perfectly nice neighbors, mad honey, after that night, the hike, it happened one summer, poirts last case, none of this is true, the last one.
9:34 Animorphs Video needs to have more worthy opponents
#1 book of 2023 was The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers
Attack on Titan, fabulous!
I saw the Uzumaki movie and found it super disturbing, then got the book. My mind never recovered.
Oh Gavin just wait until the end of Golden Son!
I downloaded and read the Night Sun just now and can someone please explain? I didn't get the story at all...
*adds everyone in my family has killed someone to my tbr*
So glad junji ito made it into your top 10!
OMG I lovedddd Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone! It was such a fun read! I listened to the audiobook and loved every minute of it! This is one that made me talk out loud to myself about the messy details lol. Gah so good! Definitely in my top 5 fave books this year!
But... But... What about the Shrek romance?🥺
🖤
omg, please keep reading Red Rising. Golden Son is wayyy better than book 1
❤❤
I just tried reading The Night Sun and honestly, I couldn't disagree more. I just didn't like this one at all. 🤷♀️
