That finish is insane! It looks like that truck has been painted in a couple of parsecs of deep space. Great job!
Speaking of experimentation, here are a few things I'd like to see you tackle:
- More fades. This is the first one on the channel, I think.
- 3D printed custom wheels.
- Two-tone spectraflame: mask off the body with liquid mask and plate copper over the zinc, then paint.
- Faded spectraflame
- Multi-color candy metallic undercoat: some combination of silver/gold/copper between the black and color coats
- Plated plastic: there are ways to apply a metal-infused solution on plastic which will take plating. Factory toy plastic plating is vacuum metallized with aluminum (the machinery is very expensive), but automotive "chrome" plating since the 80s uses nickel over copper which you can easily do in your plating rig. 3D printed wheels + plastic plating = PIMP!
- LED light kit
- I know you don't like doing interiors, but I'd like to see you do one balls-to-the-walls, including painted headliner on the underside of the body; on a large scale model (1:24) you could even flock the carpet.
Refreshing, I'm starting to like these larger models.
You get more creative with every new paint technique. Outstanding work as always!

I can honestly say wow! I loved it without the color changing flake. Then when you added it and we seen it I was just like woah! Now imo you just made the whole thing just pop. Just an idea though. If your really into detailing the interior try using a very very fine needle. You will have a lot more control over it.
But truly.... WOW

This is neat. It reminds me of motor oil in water. The swirls and streaks. All the dark purple, Black, hints of brown. I love this.

I recently did a similar truck using acrylic paint. It's black with a tri-tone flame job on top of it. I think it turned out amazing, and wish I had videoed the project. The interior I did a greyish blue for the knobs and rivets, an oxidized-looking red for the door panels and floor, and a leather brown for the seat and dash. It looks a lot better than I can describe it

Dude, you put any sparkle paint on anything, I'm gonna love it. I'm a fan of the late 70's/early 80's paintjobs. For example, I LOVE the paintjob in Corvette Summer. Hell, I'd love to see you make one of your own.

That sparkle is insane, I like it even if it may not be the perfect platform for it. I also like that you customized one of those drugstore pull back cars, they make some cool models. Nice work as always.
I've just completed a couple of different projects using the color shift paint, a flat bed truck with a 71 camaro in tow, 2 tone light blue metallic, on the fenders of the truck and a pearl white on the cab, then the color shift on top of that, I've also done a heavy chevy in the light Natalie blue and the color shift, the change in colors in more subtle, and it don't look so sparkly. Just wanted to see what it would do over a light color instead of black like they recommend, and I think they turned out great, couldn't be more pleased with the results., you experimenting has me experimenting also, keep up the great work

This is the best paintjob you've ever done in my opinion.
That paint is usually used on high end show cars, it's very exspensive and large scale means effects are a lot more demanding, great job on the car!

It just seems too muted over all that darkness. I mean, I like the "stars in the night sky" twinkle effect, but it's sooo understated. Would love to see it over a maroon candy or a blue-to-purple fade. Interesting, though. Love the experiments, man!

This looks great and really awesome job. I've put Alclads green to copper red colour shift paint on a 1/24 Mercury hood when I was experimenting, with colour shift paints you need to completely cover the gloss black and could use plastic spoons for paint tests.

I actually used this truck last year. I replaced the bed with stained Basswood and metal rod. Looked great until I clear coated. I think I'll redo it. I went crazy with the interior colors too.

I work in a automotive paint store and today I gave a customer a price of $2200.00 for two gallons of paint, not including clear coat! Nice job on the Chevy!

there was a black custom car that had mira flake over the whole car in our local town in the late 70's , it looked awesome with millions of rainbow reflections

Awesome result on the truck, that flair paint is insane! That would look mental over blue candy or blue pearl (or both), hope that happens at some point.
Ooooooh that holo would look sick with some masking or decals! Also interested what it'd look like over blue, or maybe a steel blue. Or a fade black to blue or some other contrasting color... Hope to see you play around with it more soon!
