I have theorized that the show was somewhat re-written since episode two for a while. Now what do I mean by that, well in the pilot its established that N likes V and its hinted that there will be something between Uzi and Thad, this I think was the show setting up their couples. This continued on to ep 2 where N and Uzi share that sibling dynamic you talked about. But after episode 2 Thad just becomes a background character for most of the show, thats also the episode where N and Uzi were proposed as partners not close friends, AND also the episode where N shows disgust towards V (which in my opinion looked weird and undeserved at that time). After that point V and N's relationship is almost always falling apart, except when it isnt, there are some glimpses of hope that N may realise what is happening with V, with things like that one scene in episode five and some others (I cant really recall them at the moment but I am 100% sure there are more). I think these glimpses are just remnants of the old script that were meant to bring N and V together again, I also believe that the scene where N says V "kinda sucks" was added in later as it doesnt really flow and seems a bit out of place. I think all of this was done for 2 reasons: Either - fanservice or just Liam changing his mind last second which was executed horribly. No matter which of the options are true, if even they are true, they left V out and stole here happy ending, this mish-mash of scripts is what I think made V a tragic character. I hate this it really hurt my feelings that my favourite character was just left to rot alone. I like that someone is finnaly talking about it, great video!
Even though V is one of my favorite characters, and was happy to get more screen time with her in the finally, it would of probably been better for her character arc if she stayed dead. Ending her story on a heroic sacrifice to save N & Uzi definitely hits harder that her coming back and having to be their 3rd-wheel.

As cute as the ship is I don’t see any cannon material. Ships placed in actual cannon (N x V, Uzi x Thad) are VERY minuscule and barebone, now Lizzy does describe V as “Hot” but Lizzy is also a popular girl who clearly values superficial traits above actual quality. She also describes N and Uzi hugging as “Hot” and Lizzy definitely doesn’t crush on Uzi, as cute as V x Lizzy is, it’s not grounded in cannon
Now, I'm a Nuzi shipper, but I love to hear other peoples opinions, and unlike quite a bit of other people, I can respect people that prefer Envy over Nuzi.
Wow, a V enjoyer as well. Kind of crazy that you enjoy the same things that I like about V and yeah… it feels that she kind of was casted out by the other two protagonists. I honestly don’t mind Nuzi being canon, I honestly prefer on a story perspective. V made her choice of choosing to hide her younger self to protect those she loves, so when she sees N being happy with Uzi, I think she is happy with this (that kind was shown at the end of episode 6) I think the one thing that lacked a lot was pure sincerity. N doesn’t even talks to V in the last episode, being happy that she is back or something and despite that scene of both Uzi and V smiling at each other, I felt that was lacking a “I am sorry” scene. Overall, I liked the whole arc of V, but if they wanted to make more murder drones content, I would love to see a more slice of life thing, and therefore, a bigger development for V. Damn… Simping for a robot is crazy.
I see people saying V was okay with N and Uzi being together, but if you watch her face in the background during episode 8, I feel like you may change your mind lmao. I agree though, V and N should've at least talked 😭 I WATCH FOR THE PLOT.
@@Solidslicer Yeah, about those parts on episode 8, I felt it was more of a “not the best time” thing, but I agree, maybe she is indeed hiding something. Other thing that I loved about this episode is when V says “bite me” to J. It is such a small detail, but is cool to see.
As an episode, this is the *HIGHER QUALITY* episode and the fight scene was insane! But for a season/show finale….yeah no it’s clear glitch wants to do more
I feel like a good part of N choosing uzi was because of V ignoring his pain and advances for YEARS while also lying and keeping the truth from him. Overall V didn't really deserve a ending as messed up as it is V and J where completely out of their minds and totally fine with committing genocide. In the hallway scene V even suggests that she can still work for cyn if she keeps N alive. As sad as it is V was honestly a pretty horrible person when you look closer
I wish this episode would have been long to explain for V apologies how she is holding back from N feeling. If he heard this from V, then he would understand her. But they never showed this after this scene.
This show has become my all time favorite since episode 1 way back I wanna say 3 years ago now, but I still stand strongly by the show would of been wayyy better if it were V and N together rather than N and Uzi. Just never sat right with me but oh well show is still great love the review glad to know someone shares my viewpoint on the story
I agree, because if N and V that was together then it would have been a better ending because it would complete the “love story” between N and V.(its also a better ship than Nuzi, but just my opinionn)
But also its important to say that uzi and N have been hinted at being together for quite a little bit now, but i do get how V did not get a satisfying end in the slightest But in my opinion i dont think N and V would've worked very well, but thats just how i see things :)
Oh yeah, N and Uzi was definitely the plan ever since episode 2 lol, and I can see how their relationship not happening after the buildup would upset people :) That being said, you have a different opinion than me, so I am going to have to ban you from my comment section now.
But hey it's not too late. maybe if Glitch would fix this mistake. will probably have a comic series dedicated to N and V together. Maybe they will look back on just making these characters a little bit better, than we would want this.
But the whole ark of the show was that both worker and murder drones could get along and make peace in the breaking world… plus we see at the end credits V seems to be happy with her new life as she also made a friend with Lizzy so if you really think about it, she could be growing on the new life. She’s having now because she chose to live this new life
That’s why I think Uzi and N being together actually works because it shows that two different species are still the same and can make peace with each other
Fr and some Of Uzi‘s lines were cringe tbh It felt very short just like Episode 2 Anticlimactic as hell No family reunion between Nori and Khan Doll is still dead and yes I’m a Doll fan V‘s comeback was very predictable like cmon we all saw it coming J getting screen time and being a dick is also predictable as hell
The finale definitely could've been split into 2 episodes to give all the characters their moments, but budget is budget. I'd rather have this than a shitty 3 season Murder Drones produced by a corporation 🤷♂
I totally agree with you on everything with V. I like how the video is nice and short so it fits everyone’s attention span. I do think V is does have feelings for N. Also, I’m a fellow eNVy shipper too :D
Same story here, I've just always leaned that way and can't fully explain why 🤷♂ Probably just to do with me preferring V's character and arc over Uzi's 👍
logical solution: V still cares for N but her romantic feelings are now toward Lizzy delusional solution (the one I chose and therefore the objectively correct solution): N has two hands. Polyamorous robots for legal reasons I have to clarify this is a joke and I won't force this headcanon upon anyone else if they don't want to
They all have two hands, they hold eachother. Uzi and V’s relationship has developed to where it actually makes sense, same with N and V. Before the poly ship was a crack ship, now it actually has potential.
@@Solidslicer oOoOOoo polycules and lesbians oOoOOooOooo delusional headcanons boooo I'm spreading my fanon propaganda. you will cower at the sight of my ALTERNATE UNIVERSE where everyone is a HUMAN attending collage and there is ROMANTIC TENSION!!!! mwahahaaa
I think if they threw some extra minutes onto the runtime of ep 8 and allowed the characters to interact with each other more after the battle it would have helped the finale greatly. But it’s over now and there is no changing it.
@@charchar2775 it felt like they just wanted to get over with and its just sad but kind of understandable because Digital Circus is a Gold mine for glitch and a possibility for making more shows but still they shouldve shown respect for this community and end the series with grace
I agree with this COMPLETELY and I've always been thinking about it that way. I might say too much but It just doesn't seem right for N and Uzi to have a couples' relationship. It made sense for N and V since V had the calm and nice personality that fits her interests to fall for N who is kinda dumb with a reckless, kind but funny personality. For example, love relationships are what ruined Star Butterfly and Marco from SVTFOE. They should've stayed with the platonic friendships like Miko and Hector(High Five) from Glitch Techs bc the character's interests don't match for love to be involved. If they really did want N x Uzi, then they should've actually killed off V. V dying as a hero would've worked with me too if then
Definitely agree! I feel a proper conclusion would have been a real sacrifice from V, or V and N together with Uzi and N sharing a sibling relationship.
My brother in Christ, did you just tell me to turn my brain off while watching one of the most lore-ridden shows ever published on this platform? I refuse.
Its something i say N liking uzi makes sense N stopping liking V after ep 5 doesnt. N knows how much v did for him, knows nothing bad was by her will but forced upon her, and knows of their past relationship. Does he bothers doing something about it? NOPE, not even a single word about it, straight up jumps the boat as if it didint mean anything. V not interfering makes sense, he wants what makes N the happiest but it just makes N look like a clown. It is utterly irrealistic for N to jump the boat, specially só early. Maybe a open ending would make more sense then a nuzi one. Do i mind nuzi? No, as i said it makes sense for N to like Uzi, but not stopping his love for V.
@@TiinyToony me. I care. I had a mental breakdown about her literally 2 hours after the episode released. And so does (mostly) everyone shouting JUSTICE FOR J
I’m assuming Glitch or Liam will make some small stuff later on, considering how both said they want/be willing to make some more content outside of the main show. Maybe she’ll appear in them and get some more building upon her current situation. Honestly that’s why I’m not surprised they left some cliffhangers and questions, I doubt it’s the end of the universe, just the central plot line.
@@Solidslicer with the amount of stuff they left open in the finale (like J fixing the ship) I’m sure they’ll do something more with other characters, as well.
highkey was about to nuke the world because I thought I was the only one that was disappointed that N and Uzi got together, literally wanted a entire season 2 just so N and V can get together
I mean there could be an envuzi (NxVxUzi) ship because V and Uzi now get along, uzi fist bumped N and V for the secret hand shake, the merch, and one thing that brings it all together is that uzi said "no one touches these weirdly hot robots but me" and she didn't say robot plural like she was speaking to N but said that to N and V.
One thing I like about V is her relationship with Uzi. V started out hating Uzi, and wanting to kill Uzi because she thought Uzi was Cyn. After seeing N seemingly negate Uzi’s corruption, she gives Uzi a chance and even takes the blame for her actions. This continues in episode 6, where after seeing Uzi save N from the Sentinel she decides to carry her out and even demands they leave because of Uzi’s injuries. This then leads to the best scene in the entire show, the “Uzi, I trust you” scene. In episode 8, V says Uzi’s iconic line and the two smile at each other. This would show the viewer that they’re cool with one another. Then in the last couple of minutes, V draws her weapon on Uzi after thinking Cyn has taken control of her. This is a direct contradiction to how she acted in episode 4 and 6, where she refused to use violence on Uzi and showed care for Uzi. Then Uzi jumps onto of V to beat the shit out of her, also undoing the implication of them being cool with one another.
@@kitkutv495Honestly (and this is my opinion) episode 8 as a whole felt like a huge series assassination. V isn’t the only character to get a dog shit storyline. Episode 7 showed us that N was going through harder time after V’s “death”, and he had to witness Uzi “die” too. Yet in episode 8, he just knew Uzi was alive (somehow) and barely reacted when V was revealed to be alive. Uzi’s entire lesson throughout the series was never doing things by her own. This is shown through her relationship with N, and is the whole reason why NUzi happened in the first place. Yet the episode ended with Uzi deciding the bunkers aren’t that bad, even though she would have never met N if she didn’t leave the bunkers.
I felt the ending just was straight-up bad. It left too many questions for a "last episode", had a lot of details missed (like how N's head gets magically reattached while Uzi was dragging him into the facility), what you said about V, no character-development for J, no one died, and there was way too much plot armor for N, V and Uzi. So I just think we should boycott Glitch and force them to continue the series and give us an actually good ending ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For the N’s head situation, I guess not as long as the core got crapped, they actually can reform their heads, if you remember the Pilot when Uzi shot him with a railgun, N’s head reforms.
@@MDFerriittheir cores are literally them and they are alive just like nori it's her core but not her body what did you think that nori possessed a core?
3:40 I remember they said (in the murder drone episode 8 description) that they wanted to do more with n and uzi, maybe that could happen, maybe in a manga version?
what got me watching this show in the first place was the killer flying robots🦾 not the force, a.k.a. absolute solver power thingy👀 I didn't mind the that stuff until they kinda started to move away from the science fiction that they where showing in their pilot🥶 Doesn't mean I don't love the show though👍 Anyways I totally agree with what you've said🪱 Side note: I also feel like the episode was a wee bit rushed
Liam had a lot to explain in just one season, so I have a hard time blaming him lol. Definitely think with 2 seasons the lore could have been perfected 👌
It kinda reminds me of invincible, it started as a unique superhero comic twist, and then turned into intergalactic sci-fi adventures that sometimes had superheroes in it.
YES DAMN, this is what I felt so bad for V's ending on the series. Because on that trio she doesnt feel balanced cause, she got the worst Destiny possible in a trio of characters BEING THE THIRD WHEEL.
Im not sure if shes jealous or she just hates getting ignored shes a part of that trio but they just ignore her once or twice per episode wich would probably make her feel left out. Also during the final fight they both almost let her die just to do a silly handshake
I heard that a large part of episode 6 was retconned which I believe could have included making Nuzi cannon. Perhaps the initial script had N and Uzi as more friends than lovers.
I wanted more Cyn - her backstory in that episode. And i don't really care about V or any of those character's. I wanted to know more about that Silly with solver. And how she even get Solver in first place. (Yeah i know that she probably just mutated) but uuh.. Absolute solver (Cyn) being a main villain in whole story has 0 normal backstory. And 0 explaining.
Honestly, I genuinely DID feel a bit bad for V, I love envy but I’ve also been cheering Nuzi on, I’m not sure, I’m a bit neutral, multishipper problems. I honestly really liked how each of these characters changed throughout the show, and I completely agree that V deserved SOME sort of happy ending. She’s an amazing character, I love that her and Lizzy stayed friends, and that Lizzy can still tell she has SOME sort of affection for N. But in my full opinion, I feel like she lost a lot of those feelings but it still lingers. Overall, the episode was rushed, I had a hard time comprehending what was happening because it seemed like each scene was changing every single time I blinked, but, a great ending and show overall. Sorry for my little yapping session, this was just my opinion.
Something that doesn't sit right with me with the ending is how a lot of people are saying that Uzi is a hologram in my opinion I think Uzi after consuming the whatever it was that thing in cyns heart was made out of infusing herself with the conscience of cyn as well as remaining her own conscience
That's a whole other can of worms lmao, but if you want my take, Uzi is still a physical being considering she physically interacts with NUMBEROUS people after swallowing the black ball of death.
Im not a shipper but I usually go with what is being done in the show so it’s ok for me that uzi x N is how it is but I would not have cared if it was N x V, but now I don’t want N x V to happen because it’s not how the show intended it. Anyway what I wanted to say is that V still got something out of it, and that is being free from the solver, free from cyn. Now that doesn’t sound like much and I feel that but as you can see in the shaft scene she wanted that, yes she wanted it for her and N but yea. The apology from V was still heard by N and Uzi, that was my favorite scene in the episode because I needed V to open up and it was done so they don’t open up close together which would feel off in my opinion.
@@Solidslicer it very unlikely though which makes me sad also i rewatched ep 2 of md and all I have to say is the hints to n and uzi being couple was firstly intruduced in ep 3 and the break between these two episodes is 4 months long so there is a possibility that NV was supposed to be the Cannon ship
Hey don’t knock out every possibility- did you forget get about Lizzie, V’s “best friend” (idk maybe possible could be lesbots??? It doesn’t really matter just it’s a possibility but they are better as friends even though there is a chance (I hope not though) ) (why did I comment this? Idk, probably to make a lesbots joke but now I’m just yapping)
SO- I do agree that V’s end was…very odd. Like on one end, yeah you can argue that she’s okay with NUzi while still being jealous. But she’s still jealous. Maybe she can grow something with Lizzy but it would have been great if they built something during the main show. But as far as ships between N, Uzi and V go, if this video came out a year or so ago, I would have agreed. But I’m kinda no longer an eNVy shipper and I was never a NUzi shipper to begin with. I’m a VUzi shipper and I’m kinda on the very small minority that V and Uzi could have worked. V had more knowledge when it came to Cyn and she remembered what it was like to be a “vampire” murder drone. She was technically more qualified to help Uzi understand her powers than N. She could have learned to like Uzi throughout the show. (V and Uzi also would have been a much better enemies to lovers storyline) I also kinda just fell out of love with N. It’s a mixture of how the fandom treats him/prioritizes him over other characters and how the show did the same thing. It just didn’t seem fair to V in that regards. (But despite that I’m not opposed to NUzV) I’m also in the minority on this but I think V shouldn’t have died at all. The only reason why some people think her coming back was cheap is because she sacrificed herself in the first place. (Her sacrifice also left a bad taste in my mouth since her sacrifice was during the same episode Uzi and N showed big signs of becoming a thing.) And I really can’t get the people who are saying the characters should have died. I mean, yeah the could have…but death doesn’t equal a good ending Imo. And the same can and should be said for V.
I never thought that someday I would get to see a video about an N x V shipper (I assume you are one) talking about how things ended up with V and N Thank you so much, you've made my day 300% better, and I couldn't agree more with you!
This was a pretty good essay video but I do take my problem with the finale is J Now I know people has been speculating if she's going on their side but sadly that never happen She's side with cyn And it's pretty disappointment like you know J is J doesn't care about her friends or anyone only cares about her best friend that died and was skinned alive by cyn Even after getting sideline during the fight and fell down in the hole and woke up & she was like "nah I am tired of world I'm going on my own" in the end credits it showed her or fixing pilot ship so yeah j does not learn from her mistakes and still is the same person Also I wish to see the Thad & Lizzy fight but that sadly was offscreen
You only sound like an angry shipper 2% of the time of this video So your fine At least that's what I think, I don't know what that freaky fandom will say though👀
I personally feel like they really should’ve done more with the original plot line of murder drones needing worker oil to survive, sure they kinda brought it back in episode 4 with uzi losing control due to overheating, but I feel like they could’ve done something with V or N struggling with the need for oil but having to hurt uzi to do so at points in the series. I feel like it would add more to the “dangerousness” of the disassembly drones, and add a sense of urgency to the situation
Great Video 👍👌👌👍 Actually you are kinda right about V despite me being NUzi shipper I think it woul be good for V to have conversation with them and get over it
In episode 3 Doll says to Usi that she is not the only one who has lost family because of the murder drones, reminding Usi that it's because of them that she grew up without a mom. However she replies by basicly saying that she does not care. But hey cant blame you for not nowing that.
Well, I always thought that V's serious personality was because of his character, not necessarily because he was jealous, and I think that because I've seen cases of similar characters in addition to a thread in X BUT I let people judge for me :)
Out of the 7,000 languages in the world, I prefer to speak facts 😎 To be fair to the Absolute Solver's defeat in the final battle, Cyn had them fubbernucked a good number of times. Our heroes only persevered thanks to the friends they made along the way! 🤗
And about the situation of Nuzi being canon and Envy being sidelined there is only one way to fix this problem: N x V x Uzi!! COME ON LETS GET A FREAKIN’ LOVE TRIANGLE FOR ONCES LET ME SEE CANON VUZI SO THIS CAN BE CANON AS A WHOLE!!!
@randombrickfilms1253 Sorry, guys. I deleted my previous reply. Sorry if I offended u. Also, the thing I mentioned wouldn't make me like the show any less. (It was about the chances of V being a lesbian, idk.)
no bro laim himself say the whole story the original script was supposed to focus on envy alot but he had to throw it all away because the show become popular and the nuzi shipper is becoming quite popular so i feel like laim is forced to this stuff
Liam was forced to change a ton of shit midway through this series, either by idiotic shippers or the Glitches financial greed after Digital Circus stole literally all the thunder Murder Drones had earned over two years.
Do you think dying alone is the same as having a bad ending? Not at all, especially when she has a lot of friends now and we didn't see any romantic line between these blondes in the last episode.

Wow, a V enjoyer as well. Kind of crazy that you enjoy the same things that I like about V and yeah… it feels that she kind of was casted out by the other two protagonists.
I honestly don’t mind Nuzi being canon, I honestly prefer on a story perspective. V made her choice of choosing to hide her younger self to protect those she loves, so when she sees N being happy with Uzi, I think she is happy with this (that kind was shown at the end of episode 6)
I think the one thing that lacked a lot was pure sincerity.
I agree though, V and N should've at least talked 😭
I WATCH FOR THE PLOT.
@@Solidsliceryeah.. sure buddy

Other thing that I loved about this episode is when V says “bite me” to J. It is such a small detail, but is cool to see.

Counter argument: N also murdered an ungodly amount of people before deciding that maybe wasn't the best idea.
But the whole ark of the show was that both worker and murder drones could get along and make peace in the breaking world… plus we see at the end credits V seems to be happy with her new life as she also made a friend with Lizzy so if you really think about it, she could be growing on the new life. She’s having now because she chose to live this new life

We gonna ignore the years of V pushing N away and being mean to him constantly or nah?

N liking uzi makes sense
N stopping liking V after ep 5 doesnt.

OMG I FEEL SO SEEN HELLO!?! MY THOUGHTS EXACTTLYLYLYLYLYLYL
Rest easy, my friend. Your voice has been heard.
Tbh the scene where V pointed gun at uzi felt like character assasination to V
@@personismaybe0610 overall this finale was mid because of that
@@kitkutv495I think a better term would be “bad” to be honest.

Finally somebody with the same opinion 🦅🦅🦅
0:45 and 0:53 and 4:32 are my fav parts
I heard that a large part of episode 6 was retconned which I believe could have included making Nuzi cannon. Perhaps the initial script had N and Uzi as more friends than lovers.
With all due respect to those of differing opinion, I just feel that that would've worked so much better 😭
I liked Cyn for what we got. Would always love to see more of her though, and that end credits scene implies we just might!
Banger Ted Talk.

If the original script with envy being canon released to the public then there would be outrage
If we could get two canon screenplays that'd be great 👍
@@Solidslicer it very unlikely though which makes me sad also i rewatched ep 2 of md and all I have to say is the hints to n and uzi being couple was firstly intruduced in ep 3 and the break between these two episodes is 4 months long so there is a possibility that NV was supposed to be the Cannon ship

@@Solidslicerdon't worry, your not alone 😔
(V and Uzi also would have been a much better enemies to lovers storyline)
I also kinda just fell out of love with N. It’s a mixture of how the fandom treats him/prioritizes him over other characters and how the show did the same thing. It just didn’t seem fair to V in that regards. (But despite that I’m not opposed to NUzV)
I’m also in the minority on this but I think V shouldn’t have died at all.
Fascinating proposition 🤨
