I just realized something. If Nori’s survived through her flesh core that the murder drones didn’t bother to kill, and if all infected drones have a flesh core inside of them, that would mean that Yeva might have also survived, if V didn’t destroy her core.

The corrupted AI process that took over as part of the identified feature of run off AI may have started with Cyn's data but quickly developed into its own thing. The video mentioned this offhand but I believe that it's the fact that she was constantly derided by the Elliots and trapped in the basement what caused that AI to grow hateful and evil. After it grew into the Absolut Solver, Cyn became simply the name of the host body to its corrupted heart.
Finally I understand the story! I wish they told it more clearly because that is an amazing plot. I wanted to like this series so badly, but each new episode felt so random and made no sense to me. I think better story boarding and scripting could have made it 100s of millions of views per episode, but still it was really fun to watch.
If it was told more straightforward, with all the fun of theorizing and piecing everything together and exploring the world to make sense of it all removed, I bet the series would be only half as successful at best. Not everyone likes the same thing, it’s a stylistic choice.

Yeah, unfortunately, I agree. The constant jokes undercut the horror, and what actually 'kills' the characters is very inconsistent (Vee 'dies' from being ripped in half last episode, but in this one, Uzi and N get their hearts torn out and still smile?). Every episode has a timeskip, making it hard to get in the rhythm, and inconsistent morality (Ep 1: the Murder Drones are 'evil' because they kill Worker Drones, but by ep 3, Uzi eats Worker Drones and it's just quirky?). If the characters never take the violence seriously, then we can't either, so the horror scenes feel like empty threats, because despite the gore, no one ever dies. I thought the show was going for an edgy, 'robots are insane and desensitized to violence' angle--which could've been compelling--but we never sit with it for long. The visuals are beautiful, but even the non-fight scenes are cut almost too rapidly to follow. I commend everyone who worked on this for making it; it was a labor of love, and that shows! But so do the meta, overly referential, short attention-span, edginess of internet-culture that--instead of communicating the story--replaces it.
When I say I’ve studied this show, I mean I’ve STUDIED IT. you hit the nail on the head perfectly. As someone who has watched through the whole series at least 25+ times by now, I’m confident to say that you crushed it and laid it all out perfectly
the thing that i just realized is episode 7 starts right after episode 6 ended so so that means N lost V and Uzi within a few hours and that is just sad i feel bad for the poor boy

I have wanted to write my own Murder Drones fanfiction for a while now, but I know I shouldn't start it until after the series ends, so that there aren't too many conflicts between fanon and canon. Fortunatley, Episode 7 gave me the perfect start point, since Uzi allowed herself to basically fall into essentially a magic portal at the center of the planet. In canon, she winds up drifting in space, but I could take some creative liberty and have her end up anywhere in the fictional multiverse. Since I want my story to be a crossover between Murder Drones and The Matrix, I can just have Uzi end up where and when I need her to be to get the story going. Nori too, since she was kicked into the same portal, and I might as well take advantage of that.
Honestly I think half the fun of such a crossover would be how the technologies of the two worlds interact. In the matrix it's possible to connect a human to a simulation of reality so that they experience it in real time. So what if you took that exact same uplink tech and connected it to drone bodies instead of a simulation? You could have an antagonist "drone" who seems to always be one step ahead, and always seems to have a "backup/clone" every time they die. Then other characters start to notice that said antagonist still has memory of events that happened right before one of their "deaths" which shouldn't have been possible to back-up in time. Then you get the reveal it's been a human in control the whole time, just using various drone bodies as vessels, while their real body has been withering away in an artificial womb for decades.

In the episode "Home", we saw that worker drones can sort of "jack in" to virtual realities using those adhesive pads on their heads, since that's what Uzi did to enter N's memories. Uzi should, in theory, be able to use the same technology to plug into the Matrix, although I'm not sure if she should appear there as herself, or if she will need to overwrite a bird program to appear there, just like she did in canon.
Tessa actually didn't die at the gala, even though everyone gets that wrong and assumes she did. We have no evidence actually suggesting that she died at the gala, meanwhile, we have an image, showing her alive afterwards. And in the flashbacks, the solver never implies that its going to kill or harm Tessa. The solver actually tries to keep Tessa away from the gala to avoid traumatizing her, seemingly as a sign that the solver cares for Tessa(not in the typical sense of caring, but in a more twisted way) I dont wanna argue with anyone, so I'm gonna debunk the counterpoints in advance: 1. J closed the door There were other people at the gala who could've escaped through it, it wasn't meant to stop Tessa, it was meant to stop everyone. 2. The photo could be edited While yes, it could be edited, the solver would have had no reason to do so. It showed the image to N in passing, not drawing any attention to it. Plus, N had no reason to believe that Tessa wasn't real, so going out of it's way to edit the photo and show it to N is just unnecessary work. And one final piece of evidence: If the solver was planning on killing Tessa from the start, it would have done so before the gala, and worn her skin during the massacre. The solver has been shown to be sadistic, if it could kill Tessa's parents while wearing their childs corpse, it would have done so. There we go, that should cover all the bases!
Then where is Tessa during the finale and who's skin is Cyn wearing? Not to mention, Glitch made a community post after the finale with concept art from Liam Vickers that has two name tags, saying "Hi my name is Tessa" and "JK my name is Cyn", in that order. In the caption Glitch put for that art, they only refer to Cyn, meaning they see both Tessa and Cyn as the same character (which they now are). My bad, I was more referring to season 1 without actually saying it (I do that a lot) It's implied from the tape at the start of episode 5 that when a drone is improperly disassembled, there's a risk for that drone to revive themselves and develop mutations in their OS. This then immediately pans to a drone at the bottom of a pile of dead drones resurrecting thanks to the AbsoluteSolver. That's why I call it a mutation.
I feel bad about all those other test subjects. When Cyntessa was opening the lockers (scene was before she blew up the computers and messed with Doll), on some of the lockers where it sees that the drone were turned or atleast half turned all the while chained up completely, they've still managed to write HELP in the locker doors. Poor things, they were [most likely painfully] being corrupted and left to die inside those lockers.

Love this video! Episode 7 gave a lot of clarity on what is actually happening but this video helps a lot with the timeline and stuff. Also i would actually love to watch an entire video of Murder Drone's lore with evidence and stuff! I could watch/listen to vidoes like that for 3 hrs xD and see some of the things that i missed. great video. I just have one bit of information to slightly alter it and some questions. The one bit of info is that we are shown by Cyn booting up that the solver is a separate intelligence from Cyn. My questions are: 1) how did JCJensons get a sample of the AS without getting ripped to shreds? 2) why did the solver take multiple ships? 3) what happened to the Eldritch Centipede in the background of Nori's possession?
My understanding was that the AbsoluteSolver and Cyn became one. Also... 1) It's implied that messing with the drone's AI enough will cause it to emerge 2) If you mean the drop ships Tessa crash-landed in, not sure 3) It easily could have been a hologram created by the cameras that were surrounding it, or have just been assimilated back into Nori
all of this stuff is valid, though for number three I thought it just went down the hole. But something about taking (and crashing) multiple dropships is still nagging at me. Why take them, fill them with Tessa's old stuff (which how did it get them in the first place), and leave them to burn? The Solver is cold and calculating and loves its disguise as Tessa, but this is a waste of resources and would be harder to explain how it has all this when earth was destroyed.

Now I understand it better because of the video, but yeah, the pacing sometimes in the show would be really fast. So a lot of the little things they want you to notice it ends up taking away from the shock value of all of the reveals, because you don't even understand that that it's supposed to be a reveal. Still did like the show overall and would like to see more, but I hope they can make it less confusing.

Then where is Tessa during the finale and who's skin is Cyn wearing? Not to mention, Glitch made a community post after the finale with concept art from Liam Vickers that has two name tags, saying "Hi my name is Tessa" and "JK my name is Cyn", in that order. In the caption Glitch put for that art, they only refer to Cyn, meaning they see both Tessa and Cyn as the same character (which they now are). Link to said community post is below.

That is all drones’ base programming that is then filter thru an OS like the worker drones’, not a mutation
My bad, I was more referring to season 1 without actually saying it (I do that a lot)
It's implied from the tape at the start of episode 5 that when a drone is improperly disassembled, there's a risk for that drone to revive themselves and develop mutations in their OS. This then immediately pans to a drone at the bottom of a pile of dead drones resurrecting thanks to the AbsoluteSolver. That's why I call it a mutation.

This video is a HUGE help on clarifying the story because it sadly isnt the most clear as stated and really confusing on paper
I feel bad about all those other test subjects. When Cyntessa was opening the lockers (scene was before she blew up the computers and messed with Doll), on some of the lockers where it sees that the drone were turned or atleast half turned all the while chained up completely, they've still managed to write HELP in the locker doors. Poor things, they were [most likely painfully] being corrupted and left to die inside those lockers.

The I-Cube is the predecessor to the solver, by the events of MD it realized the flesh is weak, and took to infecting robots instead.

Love this video! Episode 7 gave a lot of clarity on what is actually happening but this video helps a lot with the timeline and stuff. Also i would actually love to watch an entire video of Murder Drone's lore with evidence and stuff! I could watch/listen to vidoes like that for 3 hrs xD and see some of the things that i missed. great video. I just have one bit of information to slightly alter it and some questions.
The one bit of info is that we are shown by Cyn booting up that the solver is a separate intelligence from Cyn.
My questions are: 1) how did JCJensons get a sample of the AS without getting ripped to shreds? 2) why did the solver take multiple ships? 3) what happened to the Eldritch Centipede in the background of Nori's possession?
My understanding was that the AbsoluteSolver and Cyn became one. Also...
1) It's implied that messing with the drone's AI enough will cause it to emerge 2) If you mean the drop ships Tessa crash-landed in, not sure 3) It easily could have been a hologram created by the cameras that were surrounding it, or have just been assimilated back into Nori
all of this stuff is valid, though for number three I thought it just went down the hole.
But something about taking (and crashing) multiple dropships is still nagging at me. Why take them, fill them with Tessa's old stuff (which how did it get them in the first place), and leave them to burn? The Solver is cold and calculating and loves its disguise as Tessa, but this is a waste of resources and would be harder to explain how it has all this when earth was destroyed.

IM SO GLAD SOMEONE IS HERE TO EXPLAIN🎉🎉🎉 like I love the show, but it got so confusing and sometimes it was like I was supposed to know something I hadn’t even seen yet 💔💔
Now I understand it better because of the video, but yeah, the pacing sometimes in the show would be really fast. So a lot of the little things they want you to notice it ends up taking away from the shock value of all of the reveals, because you don't even understand that that it's supposed to be a reveal. Still did like the show overall and would like to see more, but I hope they can make it less confusing.

1. J dropped some sort of line about their Boss in ep 6 which is a bit confusing.
2. The magnet in ep 6 had to be taped or glued to her visor because it didnt stick on its own.
3. And she had to confirm her fingerprint in ep 7 + Cyn killed Doll after Tessa left...
