"Who" Question in Burmese

- In this lesson, you will learn how to use “Who” question in Burmese.
There are two types of “who” questions in Burmese. The first one is
Who is Noun?
Noun ga. be-thu le:
Noun က ဘယ်သူလဲ။ .
(“ga.” can be omitted. If you don’t want to emphasize on the subject)
e.g.
Who are you?
min: ga. be-thu le:
မင်းက ဘယ်သူလဲ။
the second type of “Who” question in Burmese
Who + Verb? (Main Verb and Helping Verb)
There are two types of who + Verb questions in Burmese.
If you would like to ask the Subject, you can use.
ဘယ်သူ Verb le:
e.g
Who lives in this house?
di ain hma be-thu nay le:
ဒီအိမ်မှာ ဘယ်သူနေလဲ။
If you would like to ask the Object, you can use.
ဘယ်သူ့ကို Verb le:
e.g.
Who do you know at this school?
di kyaung: hma be-thu. go thi. le:
ဒီကျောင်းမှာ ဘယ်သူ့ကို သိလဲ။

Pan thi dway go bae thu wae ge le: what does dway go mean ?

We use "dway" for plural nouns. (ps we use "do." for pronouns.
for example
apple = pan: thi:
apples = pan: thi: dway
"go" is the object particle that we use after the object. In this question, "apples" are object. That's why we use "pan: thi: dway go"
