Your videos really helped me. For the first time ever, I have mostly grass (90%) - and I actually pay landscapers but none of their treatments ever did anything. Spectracide, pulling crabgrass by hand (we only have the yellow top in my state) and tenacity did the trick. Great tips! I'm in south LA and have Augustine grass. I'll use Scotts Weed and Feed in a rainy week in the early spring and early fall. In two weeks the Augustine really pops. Trash grass and clover are gone. Throughout the summer I spot treat like you're doing.
@@LawnAmateur I learned to do that from a client who's lawn looks like a lush green carpet. He's got Augustine and said that's all he's done for years. Gotta say, it worked.

You are so right, I used a similar weed spray, it's been 10 days and the clover is finally turning yellow and having some die off. Very helpful video. I'm a fairly new homeowner and am working on things, learning as I go. I keep seeing and hearing 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water. How long do you have the sprinkler on to get the right amount of water?
It depends on what kind of sprinkler you have and the distances you're trying to reach. The one I have in the backyard takes about 45mins to get 1/4 inch of water down on the lawn. The one in my front yard takes about 25mins. Thank you for watching and congratulations on the new home 🏡 🙏🏾

Yes, raising the HOC is best when temperatures start to rise. I do that every season. I start out in early spring at 2.75 and go up to 3.75 as temperatures rise. Thank you, Turf type tall fescue by Greenview
Does that granular also kill nutsedge? I got my pre-emergent down and still seeing nutsedge.
The granular won't kill nutsedge. The nutsedge was probably already in the process of germinating that's why the pre emergent didn't stop it.
What do you use for white clover?
This Spectracide (orange top)
Having a tall fence keeps the weed out.
Yes, it does but some of my neighbors' vines are growing underneath the fence into my yard

Can I let my dog back on the lawn after the liquid weedkiller is dry?
Is it too late for me to treat all the weed in my yard it bad.
No, it's not too late.
So I have a yard full of weed. The daily temperature is 85+. What can I do?
You can spray early in the morning or later in the evening.
What time of the year should i burn my lawn. Its about 80% crabgrass and dandelion. Its soft on the feet but its so effing ugly.
Later in the summer. Around mid August
Dude that grass looking right!

I can deal with weeds and trying to prevent or cure them but the bugs and fungus is what I hate and the trauma it brings me in the summer! 😂🤦🏻♀️

@@LawnAmateur I new subscribe to your channel today. My question I have if I wanted to convert my burmuda lawn into Tall fecus. What's the easiest way of doing so tiller, round up grass killer?? Or what you recommend
@markrob9752 First, round up the yard with glysophate to kill it off. You may need multiple applications because bermuda grass is tough to get rid of.
Next, you can till the yard to break up soil to plant the new fescue grass seed.
Also, where are you located to make sure you can get fescue grass type?
@@LawnAmateur Atlanta, GA
@@markrob9752 ok Fescue will work
Love the stripes!!!!!
