    Nice! Love it, when you just follow one single rider for a while.✌

    Awesome work from a fellow mavic 3 drone operator! I agree with some of the other comments on this video, that I feel there’s a little too much movement on the shots in this video.
    I like the dive down on subject type shot, but maybe not more than once in a video as maybe intro or outtro.
    I wouldn’t say any particular shot is the problem because they’re done super well, but it’s more so the variety which is the issue. These types of shots are super cool, but doesn’t not sit well in longer vids as the main type of shots, and should be limited to maybe 1/5 of the time (in a drone only video)
    From working with FPV operators in work, I’ve always found it very necessary to limit their maneuvers to get more focus on the subject at hand, and not the flying itself. (Freestyle skiing and windsurfing)
    The important takeaways from utilizing FPV imo is that you use their mobility to get the cinematic angles that you wouldn’t normally risk a mavic or larger type drone for, eg.: Super low, flying low and close, basically the perfect follow cam that can smoothly transition into cinematic shots (pls no flips 😂).
    What I will say though is, this not even close to being bad, most of the shots are really good, but it’s more the general feel when watching the full video.
    Looking forward to the PWA coverage!

      Great feedback, thank you! I very much agree. Not defending myself, but the „too much fpv/ spinning shots“ are due to me putting specific training in with this, thus the result is not (yet) meant to be the productions I have in mind, but sharing what I‘m doing at the moment (and these shots all are all from the first day of flying in Pozo). Ha, this really sounds defensive, but my intention is just to be transparent of what I‘m on about and why🤓. BUT I totally agree with you! Oh boy, the flipping part I feel you so much😅🙏.
      Thank you, really, for giving such a precise opinion and idea of what would you believe to be a good balance! Maybe one day we fly together!💪🏻
      I‘ll try reducing the questionable shots on the already recorded (unreleased) footage but will fly and train with specific intent to what you‘re saying! I‘m sure, it‘ll be interesting but of course takes some time.
      I personally also see fpv more like the cherry on a cake. Rather one amazing and suiting „crazy“ shot than 5-10 that either distract or get people dizzy.
      If you don‘t mind I‘d love to hear your observation at any other given point again!

    Love it. Two points I like to make:
    1. Must have been tough flying drone in gusty winds. As V Oliveira mentioned drone is moving around quite bit. For those of us not as customed to rapid changes in oblique angles as drone operator it makes it bit restless,
    2. I would like to share but the music in first 50 seconds puts me off a bit. Not sure it adds a lot. The section thereafter though, I love to bits.
    Well done totally impressed

      Hi Claus! Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to write🙏
      1. I‘m already on it, flying with this specifically in mind!
      2. Would you prefer
      a) no Intro at all
      b) an Intro without music
      c) an Intro with different music
      d) an Intro with only wind and water sound
      Thank you and looking forward to hear from you!💪🏻

      @@johannes_hertel Hi Johan, Good question. I think I would like b+d.
      Actual fitting sound of the environment is the holy grail. Most surfers and sailors are used to hearing the wind wizzing fluting, waves hitting shore and hulls rocking across the chop. Perhaps the sound of the electric motor and rotors can be filtered out. Anyway those environmental sounds make an important part of the experience and is alway good in my view.
      A voice over giving a the context like day, location and windspeed may work to achor it.
      Some will like the name of the rider and some details about her or him. Some will hate me for what I will say next but I could even tolerate some relevant advertising in the voice over. In my case I would like to know details like weight board type & sail size.

    As said here and there, Johannes, the image is amazing, speed, image quality, stability in these howling winds, but maybe too much joy with the new toy 😅and sometimes too much cam moves (rotating especially). But once this a little bit quiet, this is gonna be amazing ! Really looking for it ! And let's not forget we're miles ahead the ancient ways of filming and complaining it was too far... Thx for your commitment !

    • @johannes_hertel
      @johannes_hertel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didn‘t see it as complaining, it is in fact one of the biggest challenges/ „downsides“ of fpv flying, but I already have a plan how to deal with this😎

      @brunosacre6676 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johannes_hertel By "complaining it was too far" I meant complaining the fixed beach cams were too far from the action. Now we're just in the heart of the action and it's amazing! 😉

    I usually enjoy very much your videos. But on this one I feel the drone is often too fast compared to windsurfers, I mean images move too fast, I don't feel comfortable watching it and I lose the "immersion" effect. Maybe that's just me. Anyway thanks for the hard work.

    • @AsselAdams
      @AsselAdams 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Same for me, I stopped watching after 1 min. Music is too much, cam move too fast.

      rotating cam makes me sick

    • @johannes_hertel
      @johannes_hertel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for this feedback! Would you be so nice and give me an example (minutes + seconds in the video)? This would really help to evaluate, what to improve or to do with gimbal stabilised drones instead!
      Don‘t worry, these fpv drones will not be the only tool I am aiming to use. Right now I‘m putting in lots of hours training with them to get the shots that I‘m sure most of you would love - without being sickening or distracting and will then aim at combining it with what you‘re used to!
      In the community tab I mentioned a big drone development project that we have been working on for the past 10 months. This will combine upgraded quality, performance and smoothness capabilities, so for sure something to look forward to.
      Again, thanks again for the honest feedback, this really helps🙏
      There is still some unreleased footage that has already been shot, but I will focus on making the fpv parts easier to digest👀

      @Mattis759 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johannes_hertel I think it would be amazing if you would make it look like a gta5 kind of third person view, also while jumping. I find it hard to see the moves when the camera moves to much, when the sailor is in the air. probably easier said than done.

    • @johannes_hertel
      @johannes_hertel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Mattis759should be doable, I like it! I‘m currently in particular practicing fast spins to create parallax effects (which is semi-pleasant when not done perfectly). I‘ll focus on getting the GTA style into it the next time I shoot! I‘ll make it visible in the thumbnail😎 (there is still some of the previously filmed edits ahead, so expect a few edits to go through until the GTA-version will appear!👌🏻
      During the PWA competition I will be using my usual gear, which will automatically mean a majority of GTA perspectives for the wave discipline💪🏻
