The Shane actor played the mentally unstable part very well. The looks on his face as he's struggling with the internal dialogue were perfect. This show is amazing

Jhon Reyes Bruh, her husband was shot after their marriage had begun to fail, and the world was literally ending with a zombie apocalypse. Shane was the only person she had that point to protect her and Carl. She had to keep on for Carl. And that meant hiding everything she was feeling for Rick because she was told he was dead. He wasn't going to wake up. That was it for Rick. She and Carl were never going to see him again. She had to keep things together for Carl while dealing with something as crazy as a zombie apocalypse. I'm pretty sure she has some room for mistakes...

It's weird how people hate this season and due to this season they got tired of the show. Man looking back at this season makes me miss it, I mean the characters like SHANE and the whole story. I mean yeah it was abit slow but it's still was an amazing season.

The one thing that kinda broke my heart about the scene where Carl kills zombie-Shane, is that once Carl shoots him, there is that brief smile on his face, that he did it, and saved his dad, before the reality of what he just did sets in, and he begins to break down

I love how Laurie Holden refers to Andrea as "I", and "me" and uses "my". I really respect an actor/actress that speaks about their character as though they ARE that person.
I loved Shane so much, it was sad to see him lose it like he did, and it's sad now to watch Rick having such a difficult time and slowly losing it as well. The end of season 4 doesn't look so good for Rick. It makes me nervous.
I know I've seen the preview of the walking dead after the midseason finally it kinda scared me when Carl was yelling at Rick saying "Wake up!"

Do people realize how bad Shane was played with. Lori was the biggest antagonist of this season. Shane made some tough calls when he had to but it was all for surviving not just to be an ass. Some of you are ignorant and will still say he's an ass. He was so depressed and alone, he wanted to die. He dragged Rick out into the woods, to get Rick to kill him. If Shane truly wanted him dead don't you think he'd pull the trigger when he raised his gun at Rick? Shane loved Rick and made him a better leader, you're delusional if you think Rick isn't like Shane now. I re watched season 2 and just went wow Shane isn't bad at all, he's a good guy making hard calls for the BETTER of the group. Rick would have been fine with dumping the bag of guns and keep putting walkers in the barn. Let's all appreciate SHANE for turning Rick into a great leader.

+Buddha Jr Exactly, Like Dale said to Shane "you belong here, this world was made for you" The group needs Shane now and would be so proud of Carol now too. Shane was just misunderstood. Just a few reasons why.#1 Shane was injured and told Otis to just go (to save Carl's life) and Otis jeopardized the whole mission by refusing, so Shane made the next best call, bullet to leg. 1 of them had to get out in order to save Carl's life. Shane loved Carl, so what else could he do? Shane would have been an honored and mourned hero, but Otis refused to leave Shane behind and it turned out differently. He got that look from Dale because of it, often too. #2 Shane did believe Rick was dead the whole time and never lied about it, according to the flashback.#3 The barn full of walkers had to be taken care of immediately. Rick, Maggie and Hershel would agree now. #4 Randall did have to be put down, especially being that his crew were only 5 miles away and he knew where the farm was, being that he knew Maggie and where she lived. He was an ass at times, but I can only defend Shane up until when he tried to kill Rick though : ( If Lori died in that car accident, whole different group. Rick , Carl and uncle Shane...

Yep, and Rick is looked at as the leader and he is exactly how Shane was. Imagine if we had Shane at Alexandria. Every tough situation in every season, I always wonder what Shane would have done and how some bad things wouldn't have happened had Shane been there. At least we have Carol, who is a much quieter version of him.

This show is SO amazing! Anytime you can connect with what's going on with the characters & situations that arise from a series & such is a hands down experience of perfection from the performers to their audience. The guy who played as "Shane" pulled that love for Lori off so well in that scene of 3:02 to 3:12. I hadn't noticed just how intense his love was for her, until I really payed attention to his eyes & the highlight of those scenes. His face said it all of hurt, love, & hope when she was confronting him.

Shane would not have killed Rick he is his best friend. Shane hides his gun and takes the gun from T Dog and there were no bullets in it Shane knew that. Shane wanted Rick to kill him because he realises what a monster he had become. Rick later finds out that the gun was empty.

People say Shane was a bad person look at his death scene and see he stands down before rick stabs him
So he decides NOT to kill him, immediately not making him a bad person. He kills an innocent prisoner, forgets about Sofia, who at the time was not known of as dead or alive, and threatens to kill Dale, which he probably would have done say neither of them died. He started off as a great character, like Rick, but later on the apocalypse just takes over.

Shane is probably one of the most realistic characters in the show. And I thought he was a good guy not evil or anything. He was alone and I think Lori is the reason Shane died. If there was an apocalypse i would have made those choices Shane made.

And Bobs death episode was in season 5, so if Dale replaced Bob, he woulda lasted 'till season 5. *correct me if I'm wrong again*. I don't think anyone can see Dale surviving the barn fire, or the escape from Ternmius. *Correct if I'm wrong, LAST TIME but the escape from Ternmius came before Bob's death. So I can't really see Dale dying the same way as Bob.

I love this cast. Even if every character isn't likeable, the cast, crew, and writers do a great job at making it feel believable, and you have to give them credit where it's due. And when it's especially sad to see a villain leave the show, that's how you know that the actor went above and beyond to bring that character to life. This show has a high standard for villains, and it always has.
I always like hearing Rick accusing Shane of murder when Shane tried to kill Rick when in later seasons, Rick himself turns into a total psychopath, almost killing for fun.

I just finished watching all 4 seasons and I want to watch them again
Shane was already turning into a walker. I say this because remember when shane was stuck on that bus, and he had to do that trick when you cut your hand and use the blood to get the walkers in melee range. He did that more than once and the walker blood from the knife must of have had gotten into his blood system. Also, when shane is stabbed and he's lying on the ground, there's random cuts of walker's flash cuts in his death scene. This shows that he's been infected. He also turned fairly fast, especially recalling to all the other time frames of people who have been bit. In the barn with randall and shane, Shane hits himself in the head repeatedly, which he has never done in the season. The evidence just piles up.
Shane was such a great character, all Lori's fault with what happened to him. Wish Jon could still be on the show

I'm on season 4, so nothing was spoiled for me. If someone was in the beginning or middle of season two, everything could have just been spoiled for them. The title of this video should say, "CONTAINS SPOILERS" like some of the others. But it is still a really good video.

Shane became too antagonizing for my taste during season2, but I agreed he made common sense choices (which doesn't bode well for a drama). He did not have a whole lot of compassion in season 2. At least Rick values the lives of his group. Unless your name was Lori or Carl, Shane would just leave you to die.
Hated how Shane acted like Lori's goods were made of gold and he just couldn't get over her. Such a waste of his character.

dale was the best one. the producers of the walking dead wrote off so many characters that didn’t deserve to be dead. dale was the only one who knew how to find the good in a time so bad. I cried for 2 day straight when he died. if you didn’t, you have no soul.
Although the producers do in fact write off many characters that don't deserve to die. Dale was written off because his actor wanted off the show.
I still am so glad Lori died. I loved Sarah in Prison Break, I hated her in TWD. Man, what a character she was. Behhhh.
I hated Shane he was the worst on here . I was sad when dale died he was the voice of reason then they were lost with out a voice of reason then hershel stepped in those shoes

Yeah Lori may have hinted to kill Shane but he was kind of dangerous, I mean he shot Otis in the leg and let the Walkers feast on him, Besides he was ready to kill Rick to get closer to Lori, I think She was more upset at the idea that Carl shot the zombified Shane as she didn't want him handling a gun, and didn't expect Rick to actually kill his best friend.
Shane was my favorite. He lost his cool tho
It might of been different if he didnt grow so far apart from rick. Maybe those two would still be close. Everybody knows that rick can use a good friend right now.
