I think if Vi didn't spend so much time in prison and wasn't beaten every day, I don't think she'd be so unaware of Jinx's trauma.
@@nicolelazummie8098 In Vi's defense, she's also dealing with her own trauma of being in prison and tortured, not to mention I don't blame her for being cautious of Jinx seeing as how she nows kills people without hestianting. Of course Vi wouldn't be able to accept the fact that her sister is now a traumatized murderer. Vi wasn't stubborn, she was desperate, begging Jinx to come with her so she wouldn't kill Caitylin. Vi giving Jinx panic attacks was unintentional, and it’s obvious she thought that it might have helped Jinx. Not to mention that Jinx kidnapped Vi and threatened Caitylin, so of course Vi isn't going to be in her right mind. It's obvious Vi was scared.
But that's only Jinx twisted impression. Vi did everithing to get to Jinx, but Jinx has become so mad and paranoid that everything she did was missinterpreted. We can't blame Vi for wanting to save innocent lifes, for being hurt and scared. Because Vi was also a child who was forced a lot of responsabilities who shouldn't be hers and got traumatized. Jinx can be selfish and ignore Vi needs traumas and strugles, but that dosen't make less real.
Vi was going to go back for her sister but the guards came. Despite Jinx trying to shoot her and Caitlyn she still tries to get her sister back. Vi wasn't too stubborn to realize she was hurting Jinx in the final act. You know how Silco killed his past self and because it helped him he advised Jinx to kill her past self too? Vi used her family as motivation, when she was in prison all she thought about was Powder, it helped her so she advised Jinx to think about her family. Both Silco and Vi had flawed mindset, it does makes sense why they did what they did base on their experience. But it didn't help Powder/Jinx in the end. It made her worse. They need to realize she doesn't need to kill Powder or Jinx, because it's part of who she is, she can't deny herself like that. It's not healthy.
I have never noticed this before until now, but if you pause at 8:25, Jinxes eyes are gray throughout the entire interaction with Vi. Powder's eyes. But the time she looks at Cait, they're blue again.
There’s also foreshadowing when Powder looks at the hex crystal, the glowing of the crystal makes her eye look blue, foreshadowing jinx as well as Powder’s use of the crystal in episode 3. And also, when she’s crying at the end of episode 3, her eye is purple, foreshadowing Jinx’s connection with shimmer, and how her eyes turn purple in the final 3 episodes (episodes 7, 8, and 9)
Was Jinx always there? I mean at 9 or 10 years old she's building bombs with nails in them. The biggest difference between Powder and Jinx is competency. It is ironic that Vi couldn't accept Jinx but she's the one who encouraged Powder to become Jinx: Powder, "My monkey bombs don't work"; Vi, "Don't worry, they will".
this is why I love her character so much. I struggle with psychotic depression and psychotic mania (I have schizoaffective disorder) and I have a LOT of childhood trauma. for the longest time I saw myself as two people, one kind and loving but weak, the other hard and dangerous but strong. instead of becoming one or the other though, I allowed those parts of me to become one, and that is where my story differs from jinx. jinx made me feel seen and heard, despite the whole experience being very painful to watch. it also reminded me what could’ve happened if I didn’t swallow my pride and ask for help when I did. if only jinx/powder could’ve had a happier ending like mine… I’ve never felt so hard for a fictional character before.
"Good intentions often lead to Hell." I think this saying fits her perfectly. Powder started wanting to help her family and it caused death, destruction, and the slow death of the little girl was, turning her into Jinx. Jinx, a girl who causes chaos and death everywhere she goes. It's honestly painful to watch but at same time beautiful.
I agree. There is no way for Powder to ever come back. She died on the bridge. But I do believe that Jinx will become a somewhat better person, at least compared to who she is now. Obviously, she's done too much to get away with just apologizing, but I think that if she ever does get better, she'll accept the punishment she deserves

Powder/Jinx is a prime example of what can happen when left alone, shut out and not accepted. But also abused, having gone through loss by force, vulnerability can either make you or break you, and it broke Jinx, rather than Powder, Powder could be what Jinx couldn't.
I would say Powder dropping the hexcrystal in Jayce's apartment was the catalyst that lead to Jynx. If that hadn't happened, the enforcers wouldn't have come down to the undercirty, grayson wouldn't have died, vander would never have been captured by silco, powder wouldn't have messed up the rescue mention. I'd say that event began the death of powder and the rise of jinx
Eh. Maybe. I think Vander's death was inevitable. No matter what, Silco had shimmer and he was already ramping up production. He had a power base and it was growing. It was only a matter of time before he seized some opportunity to take out Vander. Powder may not have fallen in with Silco, but I think that her mental instability would have worsened once she lost the physical stability of living under Vander's protection. Maybe Vi could have pulled it together and raised Powder in the way that she needed, but something tells me that the extreme stress of raising her sister _while probably also being hunted by Silco_ would have broken their relationship eventually. I think the crystal explosion only really accelerated things. Part of the tragedy of this story is the sheer hopelessness of their situation, IMO. Tl;Dr: The crystal definitely accelerated events, but ultimately I believe that the real root cause of everything was _Silco._
@@Kevin-jb2pv her mental instability was started when Vi punched her and called her a Jinx. Which, i don't think would have happened if she didn't drop the crystal. And if Grayson was still chief enforcer, Silco wouldn't have had a corrupt cop to manipulate Grasyon coming down to the undercity is a direct result of Jinx dropping the crystal
I wanna give Jinx a a hug, I really do. I would see her as a little sister figure who tries, but is ultimatelyvself sabotaging. She wants what she cannot have, but when she does finally gets it, she inevitably loses it because she is a jinx and it's so sad. On a personal note, I think I see a part of me in her. I feel like at times that my life is cursed, me favourite colour is red and my toy(in a manner of speaking) are videogames. I think this is kinda funny, but yes, I think I have some sort of connection to her and I hope to see her find an out and be happy... IF ONLY!

Great video. Something I'm surprised you did not bring up was the scratchy drawings that overlay many of her experiences. The first time we see this actually takes place in the opening moments of the first episode when she sees her dead parents. A lot of people miss that because we don't know to look for it yet. Even then clearly those seeds are present.
After taking this analysis in, I feel that if they introduced Luxanna as the unconditional love/friend element, this would juxtapose her relationships to Vi and Ekko. The missing answer to the equation of what it means to have that type of love even in the most terrible of circumstances. It makes me wonder "what would lux do"?
I personally feel like she would love her unconditionally (something that Jinx needs) because Lux she lost everything as told in the story’s she got banned from demacia forced to flee so like what’s loving a criminal
The show of hidden parallels. You could watch this 100 times and still find something new. Its a show that has many layers and 1000s of little details that can easily be missed. I love shows of such depth because you can re watch them over and over and never get bored.
really great video. i watched a lot of arcane analysis videos and this one really added something. also very much appreciate the sensitivity and pacing in your narration.
Jinx could use Harley Quinn as a therapist because they are both so similar and she could help Jinx start healing and if you pay attention to the bridge fight Jinx’s entire mannerisms and expressions show that she does want to that’s why she waited to see what ekko was gonna do first she was hoping he was going to talk first if she completely abandoned hope for healing she would’ve attacked immediately before he could get setup
Powder and Jinx are the same exact person. Powder just changed her name to Jinx. She experienced life and grew up into what she was always supposed to be in a world where she was abandoned and hurt so many times over and over and over. She became what she had to be to not only survive, but to thrive. She's perfect.

Gah, this reminded me how much this show hurts me, and I'd call that an accomplishment. I love the way you frame her as never becoming one or the other, but "Powder" and "Jinx" being different needs and skills and fears that she has at different times. That's brilliant!
The idea that Powder died in the fight with Echo on the bridge is incredible to me. It's so sad, but it fits so well. She died on the bridge... because you're right - we don't see her after that at all.

it is usually said that "monsters are not born, they are made", in powder's case, the monster (jinx) had always been with her, but when she was with people who appreciated her, jinx remained dormant until the person powder trusted the most, abandoned her
Thank you for this., and thank you for Riot and the artists that tell this story. She's real and it might be you. If her story is like yours or feel that way. There are people that can help. Your not alone.
Not really related but just want to point out that jinx's weapon for silco was designed after one of the sea creatures he was admiring at the start of the series
Man how happier she would be if only she killed Vi and Cupcake that day. Its basically a happy end for her, she is 100 jinx by now and past is gonefor better.
Ive said this before in other vidoes but I dont believe Powder is truly gone even after the events of episode 9. Like you said Jinx and Powder are the same and there were traces of Jinx even before Silco came along. However, while its true she can never fully go back to being who she use to be (and even if she somehow could i dont think that would necessarily be in her best interest) there will always be traces of Powder within her. The way I see Powder and Jinx is the same way I see Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. Theyre both part of the same person and traces of Darth Vader were their fow awhile i.e his massacre pf the sand people who killed his mother. Even when he was Darth Vader there were several times in the movies and comics that Anakin Skywalker resurfaced, if only for moments. So like with Anakin Skywalker its not that Powder is truly dead rather just suppressed underneath Jinx to where its gonna be very hard, though not impossible, to reach her. Though I can only hope it doesnt end the same way for Powder and Jinx and that we see het finding a way to integrate the person she used to be and the person she is now.
I had a friend who was very close to me. I loved him like a brother. I knew him since kindergarten. He became a drug addict. We all tried to help him. We had fights and argued with him and he ended up stealing from another one of us and we all decided he can no longer come around us. He ended up getting kicked out of his parents house and we dont know what happened to him. He showed up to my job a few months later asking me for money. I said i couldnt give him money but i could help him get some help. He declined and left and i never saw him again. Its been 22 years.
I'd love to see the series continue where, if and when the two sisters reconcile, Vi calls her sister Jinx, instead of powder, acknowledging what Jinx went through has irreversibly changed her, but it doesn't change the fact that she loves her, and it doesn't change the fact that jinx can work to be better.
Did Runeterra have a Louis Carol? It is the tea party from Alice in Wonderland. Which role does Jinx play? Is she the Mad Hatter, or is she the Cheshire Cat? I think Vi is Alice. It’s plausible that Silco is the Mad Hatter.
generally not bad video but i don't understand why so many ppl insist on talking about powder and jinx as two different personalities, talking as tho jinx isn't a person on her own (just a monster) cos if she shows weakness, kindness, care then that's not jinx that's powder, isn't it 'jinx' when powder wants to make nail bombs for teenage boys and enforcers, and isn't it 'powder' in probs her every single scene with silco, for example i generally agree about 'powder reemerging' during her fight with ekko (as in she's reminded of her bond with ekko) but it's just a weird way to say it cos it sounds like a suggestion that she has DID, and also that's not the whole truth cos in the same moment as she detonates the bomb she must have pulled out the crystal from wherever she hid it and held it in her hand (presumably with the intention that silco will find it, like how it happens, so in "powder's last moment when she decides to sacrifice herself to prevent jinx" she also does the exact thing that jinx would have that helps jinx's agenda? well yes cos she's the same person, when she's 'powder' she's also the whole time still 'jinx', she doesn't have a split self) and later as she's hallucinating vander mylo and claggor attacking her, well her hallucinations were only ever negative and her trauma doesn't have an on and off switch like DID alters do, I think that if the dinner scene happened before the brigdge fight jinx would have still had a mental breakdown from vi invoking their dead family etc.
I liked the video but thank you for pointing this out. It's ironic that in trying to make sense of a morally grey character many people turn the whole Powder/Jinx name change into a black and white, rigid, simplistic dychotomy.
I don't think he litterally means they are two different personalities, it is just easier to talk about it that way, I know what you are talking about tho some people even go as far as ''diagnose'' her with multiple personality disorder, but I don't think this video is like that
I dont think i agree that the Jinx we see at her first adult appearance was a real self version of strength and skill, for me that Jinx is a layer over Powders fears. Its like those charactera in Agatha Christie's novels that creates a mask over their true selfs. Now what hits most painfully to me on the bridge scene was to see that she really gave up of happiness, the explosion was meant to end her misery. There are somethings i find worthy of note about Powders character (altough i personaly dont enjot the series: somethings seems to political and ideological for me): 1-) She was to young when exposed to the cruelty of a adult life (fighting and running), a burden she should never have had upon herself. 2-) Altough i dont see Jinx as a person incapable of forgiving due to counscious malice (mostly), i beliebe one of her greatest undoings was to never learn how to forgive. Its simple: people expected so much abou her, highet than she could give, that failure was always a drama to her, and not faced in a helathy and humane way. She never felt forgiven and accepted and thus she can never forgive and accept. She deals with every mistake without discriminatiom.between TREASON and a mistake. Even actions.she dont understand she missinterpretates. She cant forgiven Vi and people's normal flaws. When she says that she only wanted to be loved like she was before, even being changed, she reveals unto us a fundamental problem of her: 3-) Wich is: she is monomaniac, always obssessed with her own drama and thus unable to give the same things she wansts from her sister to Vi. She considers Vi a traitor, but both never exchanged their exprriences and sore pasts with each others. 4-) Ans thats because of another demon on Jinx's life: FEAR. She is not affraid, she is TERRIFIED of bein rejected, and so terrified that she doesnt even gives Vi time to reconect with her. 5-) Another major problem in her life are the delusions of Silco. On the Tea Party we see her acting tough and menancing while charging on everyones missdeeds, knowing all that happened and caling Silco a LIAR. But she is so contradictory, insecure and HABITUATED to rely on Silco that she puts everything she declared at stake when allows Silcp to speak: "What you have to say about tha?t". Its a subtle change and quote, and some may not have noticed, but she is politely revealling that she is UNSURE about all things and depends on Silco. There is alwaya a hope that our paternal figure will magicaly say that those things never existed and that the hard truths are just clouds and we will be ok. Its easier to her to put Silco as judge. 6-) This leada to her troubled relationship with TRUTH. Jinx is, almost ultimately, a person INCAPAPLE OF THE TRUTH. We see this on her schizophrenia (and this illness has on its core the doubt of reality): when she asked Vi if she was real that was a fucking red alert that she was mentaly weak. That quote is darn serious! Moreover: besides her psichosys, Jinx is so afraid of being rejected that she believes on Silcos lies about abandonent, because, evend tough they are painfull, they are safer than the new and possible pain she will fell when Vi rejects her. Its a safe space. Its easier to attain to a pain we alrrady have than to venture into the poasibility of a new one. And Jinx sceeama when the fireligjts take Vi away shows this to me. How she was terrified of being legt again. 7-) Communication: the Jinxed realationship between Powder and Vi happens because they Lost TOUCH, they dont speak the same language anymore (And Vi is a clear ecample of someone yet bound ti the past: she was imprisioned and lost info about the world). She doesnst understands Jinxs journey to where she was when they met again. She knows nothing of her hallucinations and how fragile she become. Her terror in seeing Jinx enjoying killing the firelights is the prove of that. And Jinxs quote "I changed" revels how desperate she is about not being accepted as Jinx. 8-) And finaly, the real heart of Jinx's drama: UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Unconditional Love is not about being suported on being bad or twiwsted, but in being accepted and loved, EVEN TOUGH we have our dark side. Its the only heal to the fragile human being: because it deals with us AS ONE, as a Whole person. Its paradoxal how in our fight with our evil-self we need to destroy this part without denying it as A FUNDAMENTAL PART OF US. Religion puts unconditional love as the way God.loves his creatures: He never feels disapointed with a mistake, but He is always there to help. He knows our weakenesses and even being good or bad He never despise us. Now, if we love someone inconditionaly this doesnt neans that we agree with all they do, in fact if there is sincere love between to persons they will never accpet that ghe other stays bad, for it is bad for her. In other words: we accept the ifher fully and not relying only on her percect side but with all her flaws. And after that, we encourage that person to improve herself, FOR HER OWN GOOD. Jinx is like a freudian patiant of badly lived childhood, and in that age we need UNCONDITIONAL love from our fathers, else we will be locked on a desperate and consant need of exterior aproving, wich is part of why Jinx behaves, talks and is dressed like a children. She has those coloured features, toys, and the playfull demeanor. (There is another side to that not developed child, i believe, something mode psicothic. No normal person with a uncomplete need of affection has those obssessed aesthetichs that Jinx has on hwr hideout, thats just sick and ill). So, Jinx wanta unconditional love to progride hwr personality, but that will never happen because she is human, and humans fail, and her aprovement standards werr fsr too high fir anyone. The way Vi talks to Jinx on the Tea party is somehow hopless, ans Jinx knows that: she talks as someone who didnt understand the situation, who doesnt cares if Silco lives or dies, and as someone who ONLY SHOWS DESIRE for Poweder, but no acceptancd for JINX. Jinx only wanted to be safely accepted, even with her inperfections, as all children wants. Bu Vi failed in doing this to her, she did not understand what she wanted until it was too late.
The analysis is too simple. You can't fully kill off a part of yourself. Her memories of the past will always remain. She is powder and she is Jinx. Because of the death of Silco, she might be able to suppress that part of her, the good memories with force but she hasn't dealt with her trauma at all. It seems that she is clear in the head now because she is suppressing one side of her now. But she will not find peace if she doesn't accept that she is both.
Its funny how people who don't play LoL but watched Arcane always views Jinx as Powder, but LoL players that watched Arcane never views Jinx as Powder. 😂
Yeah, Powder had no chance. Vi didn't either. Can Vi cure Jinx, when she herself is so broken and has been tortured and locked up in a cell with no professional way of solving problems aside mainly with her fists? In that small cell where prisoners are abused, who taught her diplomacy? Jinx is the adopted daughter of a crime boss, who's willing to sacrifice innocent lives to further topple topside (a dictator wanting to topple another dictator). She could not have another choice, not while she is in such a vulnerable mental state with bad influences all around her. Her mind is not capable enough to make good decisions. Even healthy people who don't have mental disorders fall from bad influences just by peer pressure! Do we expect Powder to succeed? They were both kids, they couldn't survive in that environment. Vi is tortured at the cell, with no one to correct her path and show her the right way. She is no professional psychologist, and asking a broken person to fix Jinx is an unreasonable request to make. Vi suffered too. Powder couldn't handle the stress either. She's constantly haunted and used by others. She is abused and a child who grew up in a warzone. The game was rigged from the start. It happens in real life too. Do you think it's the fault of child soldiers to be that way? They are basically child soldiers.
Can I just say that vi should not have hit her, bc when jinx realized the damage she had caused it destroyed the child that has been wounded for so long and btw don’t leave out the fact that allot of the supposed family called her a jinx, you shouldn’t make a child hate herself for her shortcomings and make her feel like a curse, jinx only hurt more not bc of how she felt about her mistakes but how the family treated her when she made those mistakes and that completely ruined her, Vi should not have left her period no matter what mistake she had caused, yeah vi was taken away but the words that she said to jinx I will never forget bc no child deserves to cry like that, so to the person who made this video thanks but you should better explain why jinx decided to escape through insanity, not only was she just trying to help then realized she only helped kill them hurt her more than vi could’ve possibly understood, the words vi said to jinx confirmed that what that supposed family was saying was true and in order to cope with pain she decided to not be useless anymore, jinx feels so awful for killing her family accidentally that she feels that the only way to atone for it is by making Vi kill her, tbh jinx just wants to die.

One could say the last act she did as Powder was killing Silco to protect Vi....and the first act she committed as Jinx was avenging Silco.
But she went against his wishes by detsroying the only hope of peace Zaun and Piltover had
I have never noticed this before until now, but if you pause at 8:25, Jinxes eyes are gray throughout the entire interaction with Vi. Powder's eyes. But the time she looks at Cait, they're blue again.
I went back and yep, I now notice it
And when she looked at ekko
Woah that's such a cool little detail, I love the significance of eyes in zaun it's so cool
There’s also foreshadowing when Powder looks at the hex crystal, the glowing of the crystal makes her eye look blue, foreshadowing jinx as well as Powder’s use of the crystal in episode 3. And also, when she’s crying at the end of episode 3, her eye is purple, foreshadowing Jinx’s connection with shimmer, and how her eyes turn purple in the final 3 episodes (episodes 7, 8, and 9)
4:02 I love how Powder’s eyes are blue when reflected by the crystal. It’s like foreshadowing how the bomb leads to her rebirth as Jinx
Powder making nail bombs and being disappointed they don't blow up and kill someone is a pretty good hint that jinx is already very much there inside.
Jinx was there when Vander took the off the bridge in the first scene.
this is why I love her character so much.
Yeah
"Good intentions often lead to Hell." I think this saying fits her perfectly. Powder started wanting to help her family and it caused death, destruction, and the slow death of the little girl was, turning her into Jinx. Jinx, a girl who causes chaos and death everywhere she goes. It's honestly painful to watch but at same time beautiful.
I love it, it made me relive the entire show once again. the constant comparison of Jinx and powder is good writing
thank you!
Powder is dead, but i think Jinx may be able to change to be better. Not like to a regular person, but definately to the better
I agree. There is no way for Powder to ever come back. She died on the bridge. But I do believe that Jinx will become a somewhat better person, at least compared to who she is now. Obviously, she's done too much to get away with just apologizing, but I think that if she ever does get better, she'll accept the punishment she deserves
@@riymeep6708 hmmm... *looks at Jinx in-game* - yeah, don't think so
@@ThanesTito I'm pretty sure Arcane takes place in an alternate universe from the game itself, which is what I tell myself every time I remember that Jinx and Vi are enemies in game, just so I can have even a little more hope
@@riymeep6708 I kinda hope that while Arcane and LoL Lore are different universes, the events of Arcane set up to where Vi and Jinx end up in the LoL canon
Powder didn't die, she just turned into a minigun. 😅
And if Grayson was still chief enforcer, Silco wouldn't have had a corrupt cop to manipulate
Grasyon coming down to the undercity is a direct result of Jinx dropping the crystal
IF ONLY!
Bruh just wait until she kills everyone you love outta jealousy 😂
I feel like on that bridge is jinx wanted to die as powder, not jinx
11:06
Bro this got me sobbing because I just now realized this is pretty much the last time we ever see Powder here.
And all that time she’s been gone for the rest of the show. And the fact that it took until Ekko for her to be gone…Why the feels got me
powder killed silco to protect her sister
jinx killed powder to avenge her father
Your voice is so soothing, you should be a meditation reader
thank you :)
Great video. Something I'm surprised you did not bring up was the scratchy drawings that overlay many of her experiences. The first time we see this actually takes place in the opening moments of the first episode when she sees her dead parents. A lot of people miss that because we don't know to look for it yet. Even then clearly those seeds are present.
this mans voice is smoother than water wtf
your voice is so clear and the analysis so beautiful, you sound like a philosopher !
I personally feel like she would love her unconditionally (something that Jinx needs) because Lux she lost everything as told in the story’s she got banned from demacia forced to flee so like what’s loving a criminal
nsty
Lux has no relevance to the arcane plot let alone the piltover and Zaun regions
Can't see how they'd introduce Lux in this series, but she would be a welcome character if she were to help Jinx
Lux is so random here?
I felt sorry for Powder, if it wasn't for the events of the past, Jinx might not never have become. She is my fav villain...
I’ve never thought of it this way. It’s amazing that some people can break things down like this
“And what’s worse in order for me to live, I have to kill the side of me that saw that I needed you more”
"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
It was beautiful the words the way powders and jinx was I never heard anything like this so sad and beautiful.

Babe Harley Quin needs therapy first
@@crystalinekrys8311 that’s why she would be a good therapist for jinx. She knows how to handle the mental disorders jinx has
As the old saying goes, the path of hell is paved with good intentions, which is shown nicely in this show.
Like sometimes madness is an escape. But what happens if jinx fails does she believe powder or jinx. Maybe morgana could understand her or annie.

Great story on the Powder / Jinx transformation. Great naration as well. Thank you. Tragic stories like this are truely sad.

The idea that Powder died in the fight with Echo on the bridge is incredible to me. It's so sad, but it fits so well. She died on the bridge... because you're right - we don't see her after that at all.

Amazing analysis!
it is usually said that "monsters are not born, they are made", in powder's case, the monster (jinx) had always been with her, but when she was with people who appreciated her, jinx remained dormant until the person powder trusted the most, abandoned her
Thank you for this., and thank you for Riot and the artists that tell this story. She's real and it might be you. If her story is like yours or feel that way. There are people that can help. Your not alone.
Beware and be cautious when the world tries to define you. You may fine your self lonely.
Not really related but just want to point out that jinx's weapon for silco was designed after one of the sea creatures he was admiring at the start of the series
This was so spot on!!
What an excellent video.
Amazingly done!
Opening a video about arcane and seeing a sarada and sasuke moment oh my god . Never thought sarada and jinx would be in same video

vi also have up jinx too the council. vi is pretty flawed, she kinda push the domino that caused all of this.
Such a meaningful analysis, I love it!

because she's a beautifully written character and this is an incredibly good analysis. i feel you friend
_hands over tissues_
Its been 22 years.
powder didn't die, she just changed her name. and, went through a character progression arc.
Jinx has a kinda similar character dev as Anakin, the parallel is really cool to see
I'd love to see the series continue where, if and when the two sisters reconcile, Vi calls her sister Jinx, instead of powder, acknowledging what Jinx went through has irreversibly changed her, but it doesn't change the fact that she loves her, and it doesn't change the fact that jinx can work to be better.
Nice
I don't think he litterally means they are two different personalities, it is just easier to talk about it that way, I know what you are talking about tho some people even go as far as ''diagnose'' her with multiple personality disorder, but I don't think this video is like that
Awesome
I dont think i agree that the Jinx we see at her first adult appearance was a real self version of strength and skill, for me that Jinx is a layer over Powders fears. Its like those charactera in Agatha Christie's novels that creates a mask over their true selfs.
Now what hits most painfully to me on the bridge scene was to see that she really gave up of happiness, the explosion was meant to end her misery.
There are somethings i find worthy of note about Powders character (altough i personaly dont enjot the series: somethings seems to political and ideological for me):
1-) She was to young when exposed to the cruelty of a adult life (fighting and running), a burden she should never have had upon herself.
When she says that she only wanted to be loved like she was before, even being changed, she reveals unto us a fundamental problem of her:
3-) Wich is: she is monomaniac, always obssessed with her own drama and thus unable to give the same things she wansts from her sister to Vi.
Bu Vi failed in doing this to her, she did not understand what she wanted until it was too late.
why does he say powder like that???? POWDAAA

They are basically child soldiers.
this aged like milk with beer and vinegar and poop
