    This is so awesome! I have the V2 Luna controller on my BBSHD fat bike and just sold my ASI BAC 4000 Sur Ron with bms bypassed stock battery. The reason being, is because I have a lot more fun on my 52v 27ah Sony VTC6 cell 60 amps continuous electric fat bike with the pedal assist dialed in to act almost like torque sensing pedal assist. I can not wait until my 72v 16ah Molicel cell triangle arrives that can put out 180 amps continuous. Thank you for doing this video. Cheers.

    • @enduroebikeaddict

      @@eXTreemator Well actually, the BBSHD can run at 4000W on a ASI BAC 855 controller without any trouble, specially if you change the nylon gear with a PEEK gear, That is 100 phase amps on the motor.
      I have this setup on my EEB enduro frame with a 72V 3KW Panasonic battery (Battery is able to push 120A continuous).
      The BBSHD will get around 65 Deg C if going full throttle for a long time, but that is noting for this motor as it is a IPM motor (rotor embedded with permanent magnets). Also, the ASI controllers have Field Weakening, this permit the motor to spin much faster with same voltage.
      Feel free to check my YT channel to see my bike in action.
      Cheers
      Dan

    Honestly I can’t say this race is a good example. I have a BBSHD and phaserunner running on 21s LiPo and it will pull the front tire clear off the ground from a 15 mph roll and would put both those bikes to shame. You don’t have that phaserunner tuned at all.

    • @Jesusifer669
      @Jesusifer669 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you use field weakening?

    • @watermelonaxe
      @watermelonaxe 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Field weaking I believe is good for top speed but lesser torque right?

  • @hambernat6444
    @hambernat6444 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Numbers...
    Surron 60v x 90A = 5400 W
    BBSHD 52v x 28A = 1450 W
    BBSHD 72v x 60A = 4300 W (on motor 51v x 85A)
    High amps gives more torque = better acceleration
    But surron weighs a lot more..
    Surron probably has automatic gears, which are built for wide range of speeds.
    Bike's shifting system is not integrated with motor, you manually change gears and motor's sensor turns off motor for a moment not to damage derailleur.

I tried to increase the speed of the bike by putting magnet to pedals and removing sensor from its original place.. it worked perfectly but suddenly it stopped working completely. It gives very little peddle assist. Before I could go max 16miles but now the motor doesn’t support 5 miles.

    Are you guys able to fabricate a hybrid seat/back mud guard/2nd battery holder. Was going to see if you guys would be able to make a seat hybrid for my bike with the suron seat cushion but see if you could add a battery into it where the back fender would be. If so could you add break lights and turn signals to it? Could turn the battery pack into the back mud guard/seat. Would be pretty bad ass if you could do it all in one piece. If the battery is too heavy you could
    add a suspension spring on both sides of the wheel. If you cant do it with the seat than how about just the fender with the break lights and turn signals with the extra battery?

    if you have an ebike you should pedal, it's lame when you see someone with an ebike and only uses the throttle, lazy bastards in London working an office job and still too lazy to pedal, the weaker 500 -750 watt motors with pedal assist can get up to speed from 0 to 25 mph quickly, much faster than bikes without electric motors, so it's ideal for urban environment where you constantly speed up and slow down, makes ebikes superior to normal non electric sports bikes, dont buy anything below 500 watts because then it's just going to be too slow and pointless for road use but also don't buy anything too powerful because it's going to be inefficient if you need travel somewhere further.

    Guy on the BBSHD cannot start. Why is he doing a pedal stroke? If he is on a smaller cog on the rear, then this is not an accurate race. On a big cog, the Bafang will start faster but not reach top speed of the surron. Ideally the Bafang should race on a 1:1 gear ratio, so lets say 44 tooth in the front 42 rear, which will just destroy the surron from a dead stop.
