These longer 20+min vids are really nice. Love the camping vids✌️I think some sound deadening on the roof and the floor would help to keep the heat in during winters and to keep the heat out during summers.

Nice dude!! I built out my 4xe a lot like this. I pulled the back seats out completely and built a plywood deck to lay flat. I've got a 52qt cooler for food storage, a Jackery battery pack with solar panles to power my electronics, a blackstone griddle for cooking, and a solo stove for campfires anywhere I go. I've got storage under the plywood deck and seats for clothes, dry food, window curtains, etc and an LED string of lights around the bars for light. I've spent about 10 nights in it, and it works great! I'll definitely watch your channel for more camping content

love the 18+ min vids, maybe have the heater lower so when hot air does rise the fan will be able to disperse it back down

that's my thoughts! I think I did say that, but might have cut it out of the video cause it was already way to long ahaha

I’d also recommend getting a clear tint over the rear windows. I know when you got it tinted your mate said it “comes tinted” from factory - it’s not tint it is just a colour in the glass so you don’t get the heat retaining properties that tint has. Trust me - you’ll notice the difference!

Hi Robbie, followed the channel for a while now and love the camping videos! I convert campervans in the UK and would recommend looking into a 100ah lithium leisure battery, the performance with solar is amazing and battery life is way better! (30-50% more usable capacity over a standard lead acid). Also worth looking at MPPT charge controllers and a slightly bigger panel for charge efficency, also look for a dc-dc split charge system that will charge the liesure battery when the starter battery reaches a certain voltage (Does not allow drain to starter battery). Finally worth having a 120v (240v hear in uk) socket hidden under sideskirt or at rear so you can plug in and charge when at home.
Hope some of these pointers help, advise we usually give to customers and use ourself when building camper electrical systems, any questions drop me a message, more than happy to help!!

Just Crack a window for ventilation when having the heater on and you are good to go. Use one when camping the back of the truck, works great.

You should see if a company like Jackery could sponsor you so you won't need to sleep next to a car battery.

Definitely going to need to run a bigger panel, try for atleast a 100watt. Check out renogy for a good priced and quality panel. You may also want to run a dc2dc charger that way when driving it'll charge the leisure battery.

I have a 2014 jk , I bought window covers for privacy/weather control. I also bought these back window vents for air flow and condensation reduction. I have a jackery power station that I use for a heating pad at night but I love the auxiliary batter tub idea. I’ll have to integrate that into my set up. I have a twin inflatable mattress but it’s quite big and doesn’t leave a whole lot of space for my other gear. Great ideas to help play around with. Thanks for the ideas

This is so sick. I love camping stuff combined with car stuff, I wish I could do both more myself! A TH-camr I watch named 'Mav' camps in the (covered) bed of his f150, and used the buddy heater too, it works well in that size of space.

Love the longer videos especially the ones that in my area of expertise I am a 12V accessory fitter / auto electrician defiantly an awesome set up my only concern is the battery, It looks like a deep cycle lead acid which the only issue is they can vent gases (hydrogen sulfide gas) which is flammable and not very good to breath in, I would recommend a AGM/GEL battery as they are dry, added benefit is they last longer and cycle better also another thing is to make sure the solar panel is regulated most 12v solar panels put out 18V unregulated which would fry the battery. once again love the videos and stay committed.

A lot of people on jeeps because of that weird gap in between the seat and the cargo space is they take rear seats out entirely and build a platform for the back there so it’s level, and with your setup there just make a notch for your boxes/ cooler. Also i think you have it right there but at least on my xterra I have more room on passenger side than the driver side for sleeping

You should really try hammock camping. It is so much more comfortable compared to a tent or air .mattress, they are super small and easy to stuff anywhere.
There are also hitch base hammock swings in the even you are at an area with no trees.

Awesome glad to see you got some of the stuff I recommended still don't see the military artic sleeping bag it will be your best investment over anything else you purchased. Unless you have a gel battery you will be okay. Other batteries need venting do to acid. So you could use yellow top and red top batteries which princess auto sells. And with the buddy heater roll down your windows a crack so you don't die.

I've seen other people going off grid or campers using marine deep cycle batteries for power. I'm no expert but from what I understand it's not great to discharge too much those regular car batteries. There are some batteries that can be discharged and recharged without losing too much capacity. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
