Singer-Song writer Ai Higuchi's Official TH-cam Channel / ヒグチアイ
Born in 1989. Singer/songwriter. She entered this world in Kagawa, was raised in Nagano and came to Tokyo for school. Her musical studies began at the age of 2 with classical piano and quickly expanded to include violin, drums, guitar and voice training. When she turned 18, she decided to concentrate on the keyboard. Her melodious and high-speed piano riffs perfectly complement an alto voice that climbs relentlessly. Becoming one with the piano, she wrenches passion from it, yet at times illustrating an exquisite grace, fear and the light that appears from loss. Her unique insight allows her to compose lyrics that heighten drama in scenes from everyday life, much like a short story. Central to her core is a self-affirming desire that can never be satisfied. The gorgeous quality of her music and infectious enthusiasm continuously add to her legion of fans.

こんなにもハッとする歌詞は初めてです。
どの曲聴いてもあまり歌詞が入ってこず、曲だけを聴いてるタイプなんですけど、ヒグチアイさんの曲はものすごく歌詞が入ってきて曲と歌詞で2倍感動させられる。
こんなに綺麗な歌を日本語で、ネイティブとして聴けるのがどれだけ幸運なことか。

I first heard this song when I happened upon your guest appearance on J-MELO when flipping through TV channels when I was still on vacation in Japan earlier this month and looking back now, I'm sure glad that I didn't change the channel and continued to listen as I now have another favorite song to listen to. Such a powerful and melancholic song with those intense feelings of loneliness. I feel that whenever I listen to this song, I will reflect on my own life as I gaze out at the faraway sky and horizon.
Thank you for for this wonderful song, Higuchi-san as well as the informative interview you gave about the feelings you had when creating this song and what it means to you. I do like the comparison about how life is like a theater in which you are the one performing on stage with the various people in your life, from those close to you to complete strangers you meet, being audience members who sit and stay/come and go during the different time periods of your life.
