Held my 5yr old daughter and listened to this..shedding a few tears she wiped them away. Not saying a word, she gently wiped them from my face, gave me a kiss, and layed her head back down on my chest, and we finished the video. She promptly said " can i go watch my shows now, 😂 yes little one lmao. Daddy loves you" kids are a real blessing.
Most underrated singer/ songwriter of all time. How can everyone not see how awesome this guy is. His time will come tho, I'm sure of it.
Mostly it's depth. If one compares him to Chris Stapleton or Adele it becomes quite clear there is a deep place that's missing in his music.
It doesn't 'hit' deep enough. In a world of superficial crap music, we crave depth, we crave a place of lived pain.
Nothing to do with his talent, his voice is insanely good.
I don’t know many artists putting out songs like Allen. Your right there’s mostly meaningless trivial music out there, but that’s ok to just groove and not think too much. Who’s putting out songs like Bed I Made, Naturally, Circle, Guardian Angel just to name a few.

I'm a fan of Allen and think he has the best male voice on the planet, alongside Chris Stapleton, but his songs and perfomances don't have that gut wrenching depth to set his star on fire.
He can't help it though, he is just a happy dude with happy songs. Which is still cool.
If this was 2001 he would have taken off like a rocket.

June 10th marks not only my late father's birthday, but it's also shares the day 1 year ago where my wife and I got to take our baby Shiloh home after a 3 month hospital stay.

I feel your grief. I lost 3 of my 4 sons so far, the first son we lost was a twin who passed in utero back in 1997 and his twin brother survived but passed in October 2023 at 26 yo. My oldest son passed at 28 yo on Jan. 15, 2015. The grief NEVER ends. I am not OK, but it will be all right when I get to see them again.

Most talented artist out in my personal opinion. Probably listened to this 20 times. Allen never disappoints.

I lost my daughter on Father's Day last year. Oaklyn Jolee Faye Webster Indiana obituaries. I'll never be the same. I'm a broken man. Nothing more to say than I Love you princess. I'm glad you finally get to see John Denver in person. She was 3 and loved his music.

I grew up all my life without a dad of my own around. I became a dad in 2017 and now have another child with somebody else. Its hard to be a dad to my firstborn especially living in a different city but i always do my best for my boys. Its all us dads can do and this song proves just that. Sure, theres deadbeat dads around but for every deadbeat dad, theres always one who always tries his best to support his children ❤

Listening to this makes me unbelievably grateful for my husband. I never knew this kind of love from my own father. This is hard to come to terms with in my late 30's but absolutely necessary. Sometimes we start healing a little later in life and that is OK, as long as we know that we are not alone.

I have a 7 year old son and a 17 year old daughter who just graduated. My daughter was my best friend but the past couple years she has emotionally distanced herself from me. I hope what people say is true and it’s only a phase. If she doesn’t circle back before my son hits that same phase I’m gonna be lost in this world. I’ll be here waiting though.

What advice would you give a father now that you experienced and learned from this?
Soon to be 18yr old daughter did the same a few years ago with me. I'm still waiting and still hoping I get to just sit and talk with her again. My son is 6 and a very different kid.
I miss her. I never stop worrying or waiting or just wanting to help.
