Hi Steve, this may well be the case although shipping costs I believe would be from Australia to USA then back to Australia since I purchased it direct from the USA 🇺🇸. I'm thinking of getting this for EDC too. My Mora Garberg 4.25" is chipping with minimal use. Will be used as a utility blade for work but also on me if/when a vehicle buggout is required. I take it you'd recommend it?
I could be wrong, but if you do manage to break the knife, I think Esee will honor the warranty which ever country you are in.

Yes I like it. Though it will rust if you leave wet. You can put some oil on it to help prevent that. The blade is solid.
I love it as well it’s one of my everyday carry knifes

Esee 4 is a better bush crafter than the Esee 5. I like my Esee 4.
