She needs to realize that his wife is looking after HIS best interests and his physical and emotional health, and stop being a pest to a loving family that is trying to deal with a horrific disease of a loved one. His four children from previous marriages had to go to court and have a Judge grant them visitation to visit their dying Father. These children have to give a seven day written notice to his wife Kim before they are allowed in the nursing facility. Their visits have to be supervised and they are not allowed to take pictures, bring gifts or even bring food. Very sad case of spite, hatred and revenge on wife's part. She also wants these children to stay away because she is in full control of Glenn's money and we all know what she is up to.
Well, that is so sad. When I saw Tanya's last interview and she was near tears because she just wanted to see him. But, these jealous, insecure wives can't get over their jealousy, and even in a case where poor Glenn probably won't recognize her....so it's for Tanya and that's why she won't let her. They had a disastrous affair. They both have spoken how destructive their relationship was and was fueled by drugs and booze. I do think Tanya loved him. She was very young and wild and he was a star at that time. He was a troubled man then and according to her he knocked her front teeth out. I think she has always loved him but it would never have worked and they both knew it. I understand Tanya wanting to see him one last time but Glenn doesn't even recognize his own children now. I'm so glad she got to say goodbye, even if it was over a facetime live phone call. She said she asked if he remembered her and started singing a song they recorded together and he bent down and kissed the phone. She said that's the memory she will always cherish, because she believes he did remember her in that moment. Oviously drug's were a big part of their relationship, I believe the age gap between them didn't help the situation as she was too young to settle down and he was too set in his ways. It's really too bad she ended up with a broken jaw and dammage teeth the last time they saw each other. I wondered whatever happened to that 3M lawsuit she had agenst him (?) Her handlers once said Glenn beat up her band mate, accusing them of sleeping together. According to Glenn both of them were freebasing cocane , and get so high they tried beating the devil out of each other resulting in them both hiding bruses , once he thought she broke his rib! Tonya has tape recordings of a jam session when Glenn was so drunk he told everyone if their lifestyle got out and tainted his clean cut personally he planned to kill Tanya and then everyone in the room starting with the females first because they were small. He didn't like it when Tanya got more attention than him if he was drunk. His Manager said Glenn was the best person you would ever want to meet when he was sober unfortunately he was the meanest person if he had anything else in his system. Glenn denied his addictions until he got himself sober and one of his older brothers baptized him in the river they grew up on in Arkansas when he was in his fiftys. Glenn finally got marriage right and his last three children had an amazing relationship with him , even playing in his band at the Music Hall Glenn built in Branson Mo as well as touring with him during his final goodbye tour after announcing publicity he had Alstimers and wanted to say goodbye to his fans over the years. Tanya had a relationship with a younger man who didn't actually live with her, having two children together but not living together. She's always supported him financially as well as supporting her parents and siblings who worked for her . Maybe that's why she still loves Glenn , because he may have been the only man she pictured herself married too forever. Her love of horses and her children may have kept her going . I bet it's hard for her to know she's the only keeper of the memories she and Glenn had together.....both Good and Bad .
I've been a fan of Tanya Tucker all my life, but if you know the truth about her relationship with Glen, I don't know how anyone can feel sorry for her. In her own memoir, she admits starting her affair with him when he was married to Sarah Davis, and he left Sarah for Tanya, when Sarah was pregnant with their son. Tanya has repeatedly bashed Glen in the past, blaming him for her drug addiction and accusing him of beating on her. If you haven't read what she wrote about him, do so. Then you probably won't feel sorry for her.
Never said there was. But at this stage in Glen's disease, her presence could trigger some very unpleasant memories for him. It's a very sad situation, all the way around.

Debby Campbell's daughter from his his first marriage when he was 18 has a book. It was very good clears up a lot. and she gives a new perspective on Glen. His older kids had to sue his last wife to see their father in the nursing home because they were not allowed in. They won! They were left out of his will also, only her kids got something.

How can you explain to a man who would not remember who she is... "Glenn, this is your ex- affair... you know... the one that destroyed your first marriage and dropped your world out from under you with alcohol and drugs?" The man changed his life completely... I am pretty sure he would not want to remember those things when he has a peaceful comfort with his current wife who has stood by him and supported him through thick and thin. Not to mention that it's not fair to her to lose even one minute of remaining time with him trying to ease his mind again after the "goodbye".
Whether she really loved him or not, her stage in his life was a disaster. Their mutual drug and alcohol habit and out of control behavior almost destroyed him. There's a reason his wife doesn't show him videos of that time with her. That is by far the blackest, most terrible period in his history, when he was at his worst, personally. His fans have forgotten or forgiven that. Why show him that now?
I realize the esteemed and iconic Tanya is craving closure; but I wonder if her comments are comforting to the late-great GC’s family and spouse? They’re aware of his prior life, but I doubt if these comments provide any comfort. These painful situations are never ideal, but sometimes people need to ask…will my activities/comments benefit myself, or relieve the pain of others. I cannot answer this, but I believe it is a powerful question we will all address at some point in out lives.

They had a disastrous affair. They both have spoken how destructive their relationship was and was fueled by drugs and booze. I do think Tanya loved him. She was very young and wild and he was a star at that time. He was a troubled man then and according to her he knocked her front teeth out. I think she has always loved him but it would never have worked and they both knew it. I understand Tanya wanting to see him one last time but Glenn doesn't even recognize his own children now. It's best she just remembers him the way he used to be,

My whole family met her front row center two years in a row in Vegas and she signed things and is such a sweetheart and I gave her my red leather cherished jacket and I am so happy she has it. I'm so glad she got to say goodbye, even if it was over a facetime live phone call. She said she asked if he remembered her and started singing a song they recorded together and he bent down and kissed the phone.
She said that's the memory she will always cherish, because she believes he did remember her in that moment.
Oviously drug's were a big part of their relationship, I believe the age gap between them didn't help the situation as she was too young to settle down and he was too set in his ways. It's really too bad she ended up with a broken jaw and dammage teeth the last time they saw each other. I wondered whatever happened to that 3M lawsuit she had agenst him (?) Her handlers once said Glenn beat up her band mate, accusing them of sleeping together. According to Glenn both of them were freebasing cocane , and get so high they tried beating the devil out of each other resulting in them both hiding bruses , once he thought she broke his rib! Tonya has tape recordings of a jam session when Glenn was so drunk he told everyone if their lifestyle got out and tainted his clean cut personally he planned to kill Tanya and then everyone in the room starting with the females first because they were small. He didn't like it when Tanya got more attention than him if he was drunk. His Manager said Glenn was the best person you would ever want to meet when he was sober unfortunately he was the meanest person if he had anything else in his system. Glenn denied his addictions until he got himself sober and one of his older brothers baptized him in the river they grew up on in Arkansas when he was in his fiftys. Glenn finally got marriage right and his last three children had an amazing relationship with him , even playing in his band at the Music Hall Glenn built in Branson Mo as well as touring with him during his final goodbye tour after announcing publicity he had Alstimers and wanted to say goodbye to his fans over the years.
Tanya had a relationship with a younger man who didn't actually live with her, having two children together but not living together. She's always supported him financially as well as supporting her parents and siblings who worked for her . Maybe that's why she still loves Glenn , because he may have been the only man she pictured herself married too forever.
Her love of horses and her children may have kept her going .
I bet it's hard for her to know she's the only keeper of the memories she and Glenn had together.....both Good and Bad .
I've been a fan of Tanya Tucker all my life, but if you know the truth about her relationship with Glen, I don't know how anyone can feel sorry for her. In her own memoir, she admits starting her affair with him when he was married to Sarah Davis, and he left Sarah for Tanya, when Sarah was pregnant with their son. Tanya has repeatedly bashed Glen in the past, blaming him for her drug addiction and accusing him of beating on her. If you haven't read what she wrote about him, do so. Then you probably won't feel sorry for her.

I agree! She's said some pretty rotten things about him over the last 30 years, so it's a bit hypocritical of her to gush over him now. How can you explain to a man who would not remember who she is... "Glenn, this is your ex- affair... you know... the one that destroyed your first marriage and dropped your world out from under you with alcohol and drugs?" The man changed his life completely... I am pretty sure he would not want to remember those things when he has a peaceful comfort with his current wife who has stood by him and supported him through thick and thin. Not to mention that it's not fair to her to lose even one minute of remaining time with him trying to ease his mind again after the "goodbye".
Whether she really loved him or not, her stage in his life was a disaster. Their mutual drug and alcohol habit and out of control behavior almost destroyed him. There's a reason his wife doesn't show him videos of that time with her. That is by far the blackest, most terrible period in his history, when he was at his worst, personally.
His fans have forgotten or forgiven that. Why show him that now?

These painful situations are never ideal, but sometimes people need to ask…will my activities/comments benefit myself, or relieve the pain of others. I cannot answer this, but I believe it is a powerful question we will all address at some point in out lives.
