As someone who truly enjoys Wagner and a CD collection that easily backs up this assertion, including the complete Solti Ring Cycle and a CD of Mechior and one of Flagstad, each devoted to Wagner-I would say the combination of Wagner and Domingo is unique and utterly enjoyable-I only wish more was available.

When Wagner writes diatonic, bel canto music he can be a pretty good composer

Absolutely beautiful! But I admit that I prefer Kaufmann because he combines the same legato and phrasing with much better pronunciation of the German text.
