If I am not mistaking, Herr von Karajan took his time to edit the recordings himself, he loved it. Not only was he an outstanding conductor but also was film director for many of his recorded concerts. Even demanded to do reshoots if he considered that the expressions on the musicians faces was “too vulgar” for his taste. He truly was a complex wonderful man.
I fell in love with this symphony since I was 7 or 8 years old... listening to it makes me feel satisfied every second! This is arguably the king of symphonies and deserves an all-time #1 on my classical music ranking!
The performance of Beethoven,s symphonies under direction of Herbert von Karajan has always had a special beauty.as always i enjoyed the work of this unforgettable master and the Berlin philharmonic .
One of the greatest conductor gods par excellence. His interpretation of both the Beethoven and Bruckner symphonies is unprecedented. His tenacity and focus were only outdone by his arrogance.
Beethoven, Tchaykovky, Bach, Brasil, Vivaldi, Dvorak, Rossini, etc. Es un deleite con tanta belleza musical.
This music when goes down my heart goes down when it comes up my heart comes up and when the sweet light voilin comes it calms my nerves i know its stupid how i feel but its amazing and relaxing at the same time ♥
The Greek spirit was alive in him! Herbert von Karajan (Καραγιάννης) was part-Greek, in particular from Macedonia, the same Greek region as Aristotle and Alexander the Great. Καλό Παράδεισο Herbert!
Karajan best conductor evar
J. van Pieterson don't know if he's "the best," but he's certainly in the top five: Karajan, Bernstein, Solti, Klemperer, Toscanini, in no certain order.
Peter Müller I love the old guys, but lately I've been thinking I should give the young guns a listen. Accordingly, I've purchased CDs by Yannick Nezet-Seguin, Daniil Trifonov, Francois-Xavier Roth, and John Nelson. I love them! The recordings and performances are great, and every bit as good as anything I've ever heard. But I haven't give up on the masters. I've recently acquired two recordings of Karajan live in the 60s that I love too. It's impossible to say who's the best old or new.
Marcelo Lima Yes, you're right. But I've never heard any of his stuff. I only mentioned those that I've heard and have in my collection. Please forgive me, I've always heard that his recordings were great, I need to add him to my collection.
A música é totalmente diferente sob a direção dele.
This is Masterpiece by Beethoven and Conducted by on of the greatest conductor Herbert Von Karjan , what can I say He is Genius , I wonder if you knew he is an Armenian . He is the Best !
Because it is simply the most concentrated and powerfully self contained statement in all music. In itself the four note pattern is a seemingly uninteresting way to start a symphony, yet Beethoven is able to construct not just the the first movement out of it but the entire symphony. The four note pattern is punctuated by short pauses racking up the tension which compels you to follow its course. The entire four movements is a musical journey (cliche, I know) from 1) Tragedy to Triumph; 2) Despair to Hope; 3) Darkness to Light. Inspite the personal tragedy of deafness, Beethoven is saying life is good. He was optimistic. These are the unque unquensionable legacies that he has left us.
Gracias
If the men are proud to be men and who one that wants to feel the divine energy to be a man, should play or listen BEETHOVEN each day or always it is possible in her lives !!!
They play this with the subtlety and passion of a quartet, but with the scale and drama of the symphony orchestra that they are. Imagine listening to this music in '72, as a West German in that hall. Monstrous what extreme nationalism inflicted on this music. Beethoven's music is to and for all!
Just playing notes of music. Music is not engineering, but rather a delicate feeling. The wonderful music of Elias Rahbani is my blood, my tears, and my smile. Umm Kulthum’s masterpiece is an introduction to A Night of Love by Muhammad Abdel Wahhab
Can we please take a moment to also appreciate that great hair of his.
he's got great hairs.
Er hat die Haare schön
It's like Hugh Laurie's hair in the HBO show Avenue 5. Only, it's the real deal.
@Серге й smh.
Musicians haircuts
No one is talking about the outstanding cuts and camera work, amazing quality this is shot on film 100%
Vinyl Spell how is in charge of that? Production name?

@@MonMoon27 What a genius!
fitting, considering david lynch is conducting
And this was shot even before Star Wars came out. Really amazing lighting and framing.
The sound of the Berliner Philharmoniker under Karajan was amazing!
how world you compare it to Dudamel?
@@jghetto85 I'd give Dudamel more time.
@@davtra a lot more time.
@@jghetto85 cannot even compare dudamel to Karajan no offense
@@corgansow7176 agreed. von Karajan's version of Dvorak's 9th Symphony is unparalleled.
His hair is timeless and the quality of this recording is amazing, no one can tell that this was made in 1972!
This was in 1972??
Whoa damn
OH MY GOD! IT REALLY IS TIMELESS!
Holy shit this was made in 1972?!!
@@peterkeys1105 yup
@@mallasaugat of course. when it should be recorded if karajan is long long time dead.
Conducting with closed eyes, the trademark of Karajan, and yet every cue was, as if he was looking directly at you, the mark of a genius.
More people should listen to classical music, they don't know what they miss... I really like this symphony
Usa
Zeitlos und auch 2024
herausragend vielen Dank
The best piece of music ever written by the best composer ever born conducted by the best conductor and played by the best orquestra of all times
Karajan is the best, the legend
Watching karazan conduct is as great an experience as listening to the music. Thx for posting
I fell in love with this symphony since I was 7 or 8 years old... listening to it makes me feel satisfied every second! This is arguably the king of symphonies and deserves an all-time #1 on my classical music ranking!
He was famous for conducting without a music score to look at, and with his eyes closed to hear everything without distraction.
Er war einer der Besten. Bin ein großer Fan von Ihm.
I can't describe a word about the perfectness of the quality of this music and the satisfaction given me.
My god, this is good, Herbert Von Karajan never fails to impress me.
reminder for you to listen to this yet again after 6 years
Absolutely incredible on a cosmic level. I would give 10 thumbs up if I could.
10? Maybe 100!)
His beautiful hair is outstanding
What makes this symphony so good is it is resemblance to the human soul. Up and downs without any balance.
The performance of Beethoven,s symphonies under direction of Herbert von Karajan has always had a special beauty.as always i enjoyed the work of this unforgettable master and the Berlin philharmonic .
they all are just so talented, all of them !
What a brutal interpretation of this masterpiece by the Maestro of Maestros. We are privileged to hear this unique and extraordinary interpretation
I have listened to the Berlin Philharmonic Ochestra from the time I was a young girl……now in 2022….I am blessed to be watching him in action !
Truly magnificent by Karajan.
Great!!! There is always so much force in Karajan
One of the greatest conductor gods par excellence. His interpretation of both the Beethoven and Bruckner symphonies is unprecedented. His tenacity and focus were only outdone by his arrogance.
A true maestro can’t be called arrogant.
Sicher!!!!!!!!!

@@LBeaverMonkey
If Karajan was German chancellor at the moment, he would have completed building the BER airport in Berlin within a week.
and the philharmonic orchestra would play at the opening. He was driving the Porsche at full speed on the main runway.
Ok
Seriously, everything is perfect... beautiful 🎵
Working with such refined perfectionist is very difficult but enhances the abilities who get to it.
Das ist fantastisch
Breathtakingly awesome piece. An original masterpiece of the fugue compositional style!

One of the top 3 versions! The other two is Karajan 1963 and Kleiber VPO.
