Firstly from external experience: It can be really hard to get accepted immediately into a family as a female. I loved how Reza’s parents conversation about Puja was so loving and warming. I also love how both parents took happiness over cultural matters. I also love Puja and Reza’s relationship; they’re so cute and she’s gives off thus positive and happy aura when she’s around him and his family. This would have been great if Reza and his family actually took on and allowed Hindu traditions, but looking over there videos it's very one sided , as much as the families don't look religious you still see Islamic tradition but not her personality based on her faith, unless she does not keep a faith or Hindu traditions, but then it would be even more weird as in other videos she takes on Islamic tradition.
Nobody knows if they aren't allowing it or not, and nobody knows about their religious situation. I feel like they would have had these conversations before they got married so its probably best to not assume stuff. Also we don't know if they do any other Islamic traditions other than celebrating Eid. They have also celebrated Diwali and had a Godh Bharai which is more of an Indian thing.

No offense, but Reza's mom did initially give off kind of rude/judgey vibes but it was initial resction before she was enlightened. Overall, i found Puja's parents tone to be more gentle, soft, and pleasant and this difference in behaviours is something im grappling in my own relation.

I get it all American secular love story, but she left her family's culture. We don't see any Indian side of Puja. We see get to see her first Ramadan but not his first Diwali. You are both so so blessed and lucky to have such loving parents, despite them both not wanting it, they still gave you a chance and wanted your happiness more. But for a lot of people there is no happy ending, if anyone is considering this, please always put your safety first. I'm a guju Hindu girl in the west, and at 18 my parents found out I was dating someone from a Muslim country (his family weren't practising but it was part of the culture). It was bad. They refused to meet him, took me out of school and I wasn't allowed to apply to college, I wasn't allowed to learn to drive or have a job, I wasn't allowed a phone or Internet, or have friends or leave the house ever. They beat me so badly and isolated me for so long that years on I still suffer from PTSD, have multiple mental health issues, and have to be on strong meds just to get by. It's not my fault I fell in love but I wish I never put my safety at risk by thinking I could make it work. If I hadn't - I would have had a better start in life and wouldn't be as broken as I am today. I thought because my family and I all grew up in the west this would never happen to me, but it did. What I wouldn't give to have parents like yours who care more about you than social norms ❤

Firstly from external experience: It can be really hard to get accepted immediately into a family as a female. I loved how Reza’s parents conversation about Puja was so loving and warming. I also love how both parents took happiness over cultural matters. I also love Puja and Reza’s relationship; they’re so cute and she’s gives off thus positive and happy aura when she’s around him and his family. I really hope Allah blesses them with a happy and loving life along with their little one, I’A - Ameen.

This would have been great if Reza and his family actually took on and allowed Hindu traditions, but looking over there videos it's very one sided , as much as the families don't look religious you still see Islamic tradition but not her personality based on her faith, unless she does not keep a faith or Hindu traditions, but then it would be even more weird as in other videos she takes on Islamic tradition.
Nobody knows if they aren't allowing it or not, and nobody knows about their religious situation. I feel like they would have had these conversations before they got married so its probably best to not assume stuff. Also we don't know if they do any other Islamic traditions other than celebrating Eid. They have also celebrated Diwali and had a Godh Bharai which is more of an Indian thing.

This is the issue. Puja is just prayer. But Hindus clearly ( as proved by your comment) don't follow secularism, you just say it to sound progressive and tolerant. I'm a guju Hindu girl in the west, and at 18 my parents found out I was dating someone from a Muslim country (his family weren't practising but it was part of the culture). It was bad. They refused to meet him, took me out of school and I wasn't allowed to apply to college, I wasn't allowed to learn to drive or have a job, I wasn't allowed a phone or Internet, or have friends or leave the house ever. They beat me so badly and isolated me for so long that years on I still suffer from PTSD, have multiple mental health issues, and have to be on strong meds just to get by. It's not my fault I fell in love but I wish I never put my safety at risk by thinking I could make it work. If I hadn't - I would have had a better start in life and wouldn't be as broken as I am today. I thought because my family and I all grew up in the west this would never happen to me, but it did. What I wouldn't give to have parents like yours who care more about you than social norms ❤
