Flawlessmiss Naija.. I am a proud blue fan .Happy you are. Sorry for making you hungry .. No be my fault..hehehehehehhe . Thanks for watching and please stay connected
You are welcome!! I love the quality of your videos, proper lighting, editing, hardwork and preparation of the food. It is definitely on point. You make it seem so easy and effortless for anyone. Pls, can you make a video on how you made the eba on the cover of this video. It looks delish.
Thanks for your great comment. Very appreciated. For the Eba, I will try and make a video sometime about how. Its very very easy. This is how ...Scoop a ball shaped Eba into a long clear film wrap (spreading out) without cutting it at the end. Roll over the clear film on it ( Film must spread out) and press down gentle with your palm. Then, use a roller pin over the film to flatten it. Remove clear film from one sides and cut Eba edges with knife to give you a rectangular shape. Roll like a mat and place on the plate while still hot or warm.
sylvia13 Flaminghor... All my videos!.. WOW.. Thanks for spending time to watch them. Really appreciated. I will continue to put effort to make the best videos. PLEASE STAY IN TOUCH
Interesting. Very authentic. I have never tried those parts of cow or pumpkin leaves. And stock fish we eat only with beer. And of course your cuisine is too spicy for me. Thank you for your videos. Greetings from Russia!
You are wonderful , see if Companies like cardibary Maggi cubes etc products they Produce they can place advert , some this foood Companies that produced those spices , they place advert and give you some Money . Really you lovely guy . You make Nigerians happy and they way you talk makes more interesting . Like you , keep it up .
Edika ikong is my favorite soup, just cooked mine 3 days ago, but without Ukazi leaf is like u just cooked vegetable soup, but it looks yummy though, nice one bro!
Gladys Edetho...Thanks for your comment. I totally respect your style but in my opinion and cooking , I think the use of OKAZI or UKAZI ... is for AFANG soup. In summary this is what in my opinion is right. Ugwu + Water leaves or (Spinach) = Edika Ikong Okazi +Water leaves or (Spinach) = Afang
Nigeriacuisine Good to know, Though I grew up learning cooking Edika ikong with okazi n water leave, but here in Europe I use spinach n ukazi, cos water leave is hard to get here, Godd work u are doing I must confess, God bless.
So you know you have the best method , I took my time to go thru all the other videos but you beat them to the curb , but can I use water crest in place of water leave.
+Ore A Thanks for your leaving your comment. I have not tried using watercress but i will suppose it should be fine. Its an aquatic vegetable plant that is consumable to human, so why not if not. Watercress plant holds water just like water leave. Actually , you have given an idea to experiment with in my kitchen(smiles)
diva4GOD1... Thanks for your question ....Its very very easy. I hope that helps
Amanda Ladeji .. Your opinion is just perfect " Looks good to me ".. Thanks. But also wish if you good try it to give me the title ... "taste good to me " .... hahaahhahahhaha. Thanks for your comment. stay connnected
Hi , do u know how to cook this yoruba food that they use beans , and they will prepare it like moi moi but no red pepper is going to be white color and prepare the sauce spices .And I do enjoy ur cooking

I had always thought this was an extremely difficult recipe. Thanks for making it so easy. My only reservation is the palmoil, not a fan in any recipe.
Actually its very easy as you can see. The same applies to 'Afang Soup' . The only difference in the leaves added to the soup. With regards to the Palm Oil you mentioned. I will suggest you try an alternative healthier option called .."Cartino Healthier Cooking Oil 500ml"...you might want to read its review and let me know your taught. Thanks for your comment and stay connected.
Rhoda Alabi... Very easy as well...., Scoop a ball shaped Eba into a long clear film wrap (spreading out) without cutting it at the end. Roll over the clear film on it ( Film must spread out) and press down gentle with your palm. Then, use a roller pin over the film to flatten it. Remove clear film from one sides and cut Eba edges with knife to give you a rectangular shape. Roll like a mat and place on the plate while still hot or warm.
for a man cooking edikang ikong, i will give him some credit. if it was a calabar woman cooking this, i will ask her to go back an learn how to make it. good job dear for trying.

This ISN'T how it's cooked! You don't just boil your meat and bung in your ingredients, there is an order to which the ingredients go! The last two ingredients you put are the crayfish and palm oil....we NEVER put onions in ANY of our soups, it's considered an abomination!
Vixxy02.. Thanks for watching my videos and leaving your comments. I am glad to know what your preferences are in cooking my dishes. Please share your recipes and style of cooking and I am sure people will learn from you. Once again, thanks for leaving your comment.

Really nice. But traditionally, this isn't edikang ikong soup. I'm from the ibibio tribe in Nigeria where the food originates. Well done
If this is not edika lkong,we'll call it edika lkonga then, shall we.Cos it looks very good and l'm sure it taste better than the original.
Hmmmmmmm how come
the leaves are too large they must be as tiny as possible, moreover the quantity too little compared to your meat and other ingredients.
good cook your wife most be very lucky to have you as a husband
we do not cook edikaikong that way
papaK
honestly you're right.
his method is cool, but the real edika ikong with it's full glory isn't prepared that way
BITTER truth
This is not how to cook It,sorry to say it,I'm from calabar.
Evelyn Inah please if this isn't the way to cook it, why don't you teach us? It would be helpful. Also give a little credit to him for at least trying. One love.
Evelyn Inah how do the Calabarians make edikaikong, I hear they. Fry the water leave in oil before adding every other item, that true?
This ISN'T how it's cooked! You don't just boil your meat and bung in your ingredients, there is an order to which the ingredients go! The last two ingredients you put are the crayfish and palm oil....we NEVER put onions in ANY of our soups, it's considered an abomination!
