I can spend money on my hobbies and this is my number 1 hobby now so I could buy a new fuel injected KTM, but after this videos I’m going to keep my carbureted Husqvarna 2014 TE 250 at least another year. Updated the bike with an Smartcarb and so far I like it, it is almost as smooth as a Fuel Injected bike and I have never been left stranded in the desert. Yesterday we had a guy with a four stroke fuel injected KTM and had an electrical issue we could not fix so we had to walk back to the trucks. The single track was not wide enough for a truck.
I have an fc250 2016 does the same thing runs then stops but won't rev up will tik over until warm then stops but plug is well out of way tried another tank no different
Just bought a used Ktm excf 350, ran fine when bought and ran fine on first ride(only about 40mins) went to start it and it back fired abit and and then wouldn’t start up at all, the motor turns over but won’t start, cleaned the injector, tried cleaning fuel pump filter as a quick resolve until new one arrives, still not running, the bikes still got compression but very difficult to get spark plug out without removing engine from frame, any help would be appreciated
Hi, I have a 2010 KTM 690 enduro r that I am having similar issues with. it will run anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. But I can keep it running if I stay on the throttle usually. New fuel pump. injectors have been cleaned. new fuel filters. I even got a used throttle body to test and that helped some but did not solve issue. I have replaced spark plug. spark plug cap and tip over sensor. it has 2 throttle position sensors that I get in spec but they seem to go lower voltage than where they should be set when bike is running. idk if voltage should drop on those or not. My voltage regulator seems to get very hot but when cold I have tested and seems to be within spec. Could voltage regulator be the issue? Or could the stator have issues? I know that it charges the battery but I don't know if there is more to it than that. when it shuts off sometimes it is very abrupt. The bike backfires when given gas. Has an FMF slip on and K&N air filter. Have asked on several different forums. At a bit of a loss. concerned if I take it to a shop they won't be able to fix and I will be out a bunch of money for nothing.
That sounds like an electrical issue, where the voltage needed isn't there. Electrics fail when they get hot, and they get hotter faster when they get bad. I'd guess regulator/rectifier or stator.
I'm sorry you are having that problem. Sounds like it just needs to go back to the dealer, so you can get the run around on what's going on. Sad to say, but these new things are so cheap, it could be a lot of things. Hopefully under Warranty
Man i cant thank you enough, i just took my spark plug off and there is a tiny tiny fracture on it !!!! your a life saver
The the first Guy I’ve ever seen kick a bike over in a video..excellent!
I just dropped a couple hundred bucks at Your store.

Is it possible to bypass the roll over switch? I suspect mine is faulty and want to disconnect it before purchasing a new one. Husaberg FE570
I honestly don't know that one. Sorry
Did you ever find out if you can bypass it

@@ktmhusky Thank you for the input, I will start withe the rectifier since it is getting so hot. if that does not work I will move onto the stator.
@@paulcrawford9674 what was it mate mines got same issues
