This was a fun one to watch. I agree the Prometheus is the winner. I too agree that one on one the Enterprise-E would win but with multi vector assault mode all bets are off. I mean all three sections destroyed a Romulan Warbird for crying out loud.
They were good matches Mr Badger. I love your comments. When it was one on one, I agree the Sovereign class was better. In the Multi-vector mode, the USS Prometheus was demonstratively stronger. There were singe marks on the saucer section though but they would go away with a little buffing. 😅 The phaser array on the starboard side was heavily damaged. It needs to be better protected.
This proves what you got in the Multi-Vector video a couple of weeks ago. When it's used correctly and coupled with the human factor, MVAM can be devastating in combat. That one battle though, talk about winning by the skin of your teeth.
The fact the Romulans felt it worthy enough to steal probably speaks volumes for its combat capabilities. It was probably stronger & faster than anything they had. Since Starfleet encountered the Borg & The Dominion, They’ve upgraded significantly in offensive capabilities, a wolf in sheep’s clothing
This episode never made sense. The Romulans had already allied with the Federation in the Dominion war at this point. So they were literally stealing an allies ship.
@@stephenbarr1355 They are secret police and the main Romulan intelligence agency, the majority of members are Romulans, there are agents and informants of other races
That was a fun set of fights. Totally off the subject, I am looking forward to your, "Build a Bridge Commander computer episode." I understand that will take some time.
Hey Admiral.. hope you also are doing well.. Yes mine too, both EMH's lol.. when the Doc mentioned, well you know and the EMH M2, said ''WHAT!!'' lol. oh gosh.. also, watching the episode now, when Seven, increased the rang of the astrometric's sen Ors.. lol. Lower Decks.. just saying. and found a ship, warp signature, a Starfleet vessel, the faces of Janeway and Chakotay.. when she zoomed in , I had chills. gosh.. The Prometheus was at warp 9.9 also, and the interior.. very nice.. just saying.. And of course, Seven gives the Hirogen a ''Mild Shock!''.,. oh gosh.. lol also, we saw in First Contact, the Ent E has the same EMH MK1.. lol. The Prometheus separated took out a Warbird with phasers.. hmm That was close. jeepers.. Well done Admiral.. Love both ships, and multi vector does do more , with that new update, glad, the computer was not in blood more gosh.. lol. love the battle Admiral, both EMH's would be proud!😊🖖
My personal head canon is that the Prometheus has the firepower of a Sovereign in a smaller package because it's a pure warship. But being a smaller ship make's it less durable compared to a larger ship. Not a glass cannon, just mass and volume is it's own form of armor.
The big problem with this is that the three sections don't really coordinate their attacks very well, whereas on the show the automation allowed them to function as a team, a sort of prelude to the Fleet Formation we saw in Picard.
For the first time since around 2004, I finally got a *version* of stbc and patched it with remastered. My first battle was trying to recreate s001 with the borg and I was immediately annihilated...it was awesome!! Thank you so much for the inspiration to come back to a great game after 20 years, though you do make it look easy😂
“It wouldn’t surprise me if History remembers this as the [Retro-Badger] Maneuver!” What’s better than 1 cookie? 2 cookies. What’s better than 1 ships? 3 ships. 😎
I'll just add that Rick Sternbach who designed the Prometheus did an interview on Trekyards a few years back and he felt the Sovereign would win in a match up. The sovereign also had a heavy tactical focus to help it face the borg, and we saw the kind of beating it can take in Nemesis.
Pretty sure that ship is in BC, the 64 Million Dollar question is a version with a HP for that version in BC... (The model used in Darmok was used several times in Trek)😅
The beating the E-E took from the Scimitar was absurd. Even if you grant the Prom parity in firepower to the E-E, both fall far short of the Scimitar. As for MVA, if you sent 3 Defiants after the E-E, I'd give it to the E-E, and surely each individual component of the Prom is going to fall short of a Defiant.
noticed in MVAM the phasor and some of the torps were phasing through the sheilds which caused some havoc to the Sovy early and might have also led to some of the issues you had against the three.
What is the best source for Bridge Commander; didn't see it on Steam so curious what would be the best way to get the game (on PC) (with the possibility to bring to a newer PC when the time comes without having to rebuy the game)
Viewer request: Can you recreate the blockade of 12 Bajoran interceptors Colonel Kira setup to prevent the Romulans from approaching Derna? This was portrayed in the DS9 episode Shadows and Symbols. They probably wouldn’t be a match for a single Romulan warbird but it would be interesting to see.
Never really thought mvam was a good idea Splitting your ship means you have three ships at 1/3 the power or less since each section is not equal. The idea of splitting enemy fire falls flat when enemy ships almost always have multiple weapons with full 360 coverage. It just allows them to deal more damage faster
The Sovereign-class has 50% more mass than the Prometheus - so it's basically a cruiser versus a destroyer and should be won by the bigger vessel (given that they are both geared towards combat and designed in the 2370s).
The Prometheus is the better ship and if I had to choose between the two, I'd put my flag on it over the Sovereign Class. It's faster, more maneuverable, has more advanced shields and overall tech. We've never actually seen what a Prometheus can really do onscreen but we know at the very least it can curb stomp a Nebula with ease. This despite it having much less internal volume. The fact that at least one vessel survived to the 26th century shows what a great design it was. Basically the DS9 era version of the Excelsior.
Can i ask what is the point of maxing out sensors to 125, it seems to me it just drains your main battery and emergency power. Your engagement is close and i see no reason to do that, am i wrong?

The fact that it utterly dominated a D'deridex class Warbird is a pretty solid metric for measuring just how stacked the Prometheus is.

They're still Romulans.
The Tal Shiar stole the ship, we know how they operate, with or without the approval of the Romulan Senate

Multi-vector assault mode is a lot of fun in Star Trek Online
8:56 unlike in Star Trek Online - where the opinion on the Prometheus multi vector assault mode is divided 🙀
5:43 one tactic to help here would be to use NavPoints to buy time for shields regen/repairs😅

Ah, Cookies!
That reminds me, need to work with KCS on his ship pack and the (literal) Cookie Projectile 😂
In terms of production and operation costs, I'd say the Prometheus was the clear winner!
The MVAM battle, in the Sovereign, was nuts. The Sovereign's phaser array was the deciding factor 🖖
Nice Showcase!
Ty for the video and LLAP! Prometheus woot!

My favorite Voyager episode was Equinox pt 1-2👍
Always go for the sensors.
Would be cool to see how many NX and NX Refits will it take to take down a Jem'Hadar Dreadnought.
I reckon more than the game engine could handle.
His PC would melt.
Galaxy Class v Darmok Class. The Darmok class in the episode Darmok easily outclassed the Enterprise D

Nah it would take atleast a Sovereign or a Prometheus to stand up to Darmok. Anything else other than quantum torps ain't gonna do shit to a Darmok

Wouldn't the Prometheus shield array be far superior because it has three layers of shields working together from the three components of the ship??
That's actually a good question.

The Prometheus is missing its ablative armour and I think the Sovereign is too
