3 22 Amtrak California Zephyr #6 in Fort Morgan Phaze 7 P42 Arrives a hour late

- Hey folks here the California Zephyr#6 from Amtrak For 3-22-2024
This train is coming in a little under an hour late. landing in the fort at 9:12 PM with a GE P42DC Phase 7 on the lead engine #82 , Really a nice paint Job Though on this night we do see a lengthy scrap going from the top vent down the side so not as in pristine condition as the last time we saw this train and #19 a phase 5 P42 in second place.
This train does a Stop- Drop and Roll !! Leaving 1 person in the fort and calling the highball in Fort Morgan.

I love the clacking sound of trains!
Hey Shirley! Could be a few reasons for that , could be a flat spot on the wheel or even 2 rails that come together. its interesting on freight trains each car almost has a different sound
I do like the Phase 7 livery on the P42 loco - sure looks good.
I agree I like the darker color, it catches your eyes when it passes. , your not sure if you saw a p42 or an ALC ..lol makes ya question everything ! haha
