  • Please watch: "What I've gained from studying abroad | Should you study abroad?"
    • Video -~-
This series aims at showcasing various women in STEM fields and sharing their experiences with anyone interested in pursuing the field.
Prof. Rima Alaifari is an assistant professor in the mathematics department at ETH Zurich. She also just gave a TEDx talk in Zurich about "crushing labels." When her talk comes out on the TEDx TH-cam page, I'll be sure to link it. I caught up with her after her talk and we discussed her field in mathematics, why she decided to become a mathematician, what real-life applications her work has, and advice she has for anyone looking to pursue the field. ____________________________________________________________________

PHD in mathematics! So cool she is; I can't even do simple high school maths. Hope, one day, she will win fields medal in mathematics.

This was impressive, I liked the talk. Yesss, everyone should learn to RESPECT. I sometimes feel there is a lack of it especially here in Europe where everyone claims that they do respect individuals from various races, religion, type of coverage, ...

I feel ya girl, I know:( I think people, in general, want to be perceived a certain way so they tell us who they are instead of showing us.
