Seeing as those drones sometimes carry explosives or could give away location of troops and supplies that might endanger many lives. That price doesn't sound too bad. There is also the fact that using things like a gun would be dangerous as bullets go back down and are not as precise, the loss is very much justified.

Seeing as drones can carry explosives and drop them on troops or get information about troops and supply routes. If they aren't shut down they can be very dangerous. Even if the launcher cost more than the drone the destruction of the drone justify its price plus using other weapons such as a gun would be more dangerous as bullets go down and would just waste bullets since they would not be very precise.
