Lots of Swedish people emigrated to my home state of Minnesota in the 19th century. There are still many towns in central Minnesota that have Swedish descendants, such as Lindström, Mora, Vasa, Karlstad, Upsala, and Malmo. Skål!

@@yesplatinum7956 Lindström was named after the brother of the 1st settler in Lindström, who brought Swedes and a few Norwegians in the 1850s.
the town is also famous due to a statue of the fictional characters Karl-Oskar Nilsson and his wife Kristina. They're from a book series called "The Emigrants" by Vilhelm Moberg. The series is about them and their 3 children who emigrate to America, and they settled in Lindström in the 1850s as well (peak of Scandinavian Emigration). They're not real people, but the book series is really well-known in Sweden, so there's also a statue of Karl and Kristina.
