These are so inspiring! I had to try my hand at them. I used the tye-dye method - it was perfect!! When they were still bendy I wrapped them around pencils and cups - made "s" shapes - twisted them. Some are wonky and I love those best. Gives it an art look instead of a manufactured look. I hope I can send pictures!!!

I make suncatchers and to solve the issue of the jump rings having gaps, I use a teenie drop of uv resin to "weld" the ring together. It was the best method I found. Even getting a perfect closure was really no guarantee that the line wouldn't come out over time.
I used my imperfections to an advantage and made a couple of mobiles for Christmas. They were quite a hit. A friend saw one at my dads and loved it. Love the use of the book mark molds. ❤️🌈❤️
Just made a clear pair of earrings icing the resin drop using your technique. I did it with UV resin. I'm going to try and make a tie-dyed pair next. They turned out so good! Thanks again!
you did so awesome love the vibrant colour on the fishing wire not add a drop of jewelry glue on the jump rings and split rings make sure the ends meet and use a drop of jewelry glue or UV resin

Try using oval rings instead of round. The joint usually lands on the center edges rather than at the top of the bottom--less change for something to fall through the crack. I absolutely love your designs. Beautiful.

Hey luv, try using a dot of super glue on the rings where you don't want the fishing line to go through. And I may need to buy that blue geod one also. And maybe one of the bookmark teardrop ones. Lol. Gah amazing as always.

This is incredibly beautiful and imaginative. I couldn’t figure out how you got the bead anchored inside the rounded end of each tear drop. This had to take a long time to complete but it’s so unique. I love it!!

Unfortunately, all resin will yellow. Some will not yellow as much or quick but if in direct sunlight it will yellow quicker. That's why i always tend to saturate mine with colour as this disguises it or you don't notice it as much. That's why i am also exploring Jesmonite Resin. Some resin work with clear look beautiful in the beginning but its a shocked when you first experience the yellowing. Thanks heaps for watching also and your kind words
Very relaxing and inspiring !!! P.S. To avoid the "fish-wire" to escape, you could use these "keyring-style" jumprings instead of the usual ones - thats what I do when I want that everything stays in place. :-)

These are pretty but the wouldn’t look like that in a week with my sea breeze. You were using your wire curling pliers to close your jump rings. You need the tiny pliers just for closing jump rings without a gap. ❤️

What is the paper that you use underneath when pouring and what kind of tape do you use, is it just ordinary marking tape? They are absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
you need to used 2 small flat nose pliers and then close until they meet bringing them in a left to right / right to left NOT squash in the middle, then when they meet wiggle them in the right to left motion and you will feel the "work harden" they should feel stiffer as you wiggle as the metal should "work harden and you should be able to get them almost seamless, i used to make jewellery been published 5 times and worked 95% of the time with wire and done chainmail (now that give you very sore fingers hahaha) but that was going back over 12yrs ago i do loads of crafts found resin last November and im hocked and come around full circle and back to making jewellery im glad i never sold my tools now lol so get 2 nice small FLAT tip smooth pliers they are not expensive what pigments do you find last the longest in the sun will have to look at mine, i made 2 pendants in a blue colour left them on the window as i have been thinking of doing indoor sun catches but mine lost so much colour in 2 wks and not alot of sun so im not happy with mine at all

It depends on your resin this one was 12 hours, you want it bendy still but not tacky, then i left them to fully cure for 48hrs in there new shape. That may very depending on the brand.
@@SharonLindleyVividDaysArt alcohol ink fades as if you haven't put it in there to start with and me two test pieces where 1" thick dark blue, in sun light but not direct sun light with in 2 wks i only have colour on the bottom the rest is CLEAR! chuffed there isn't one air bubble but they are meant to be dark blue lol reminds me i need to watch the geode looking one lol, cant believe im back to making jewellery i havent since 2010 thats a long brake there are different grades of jump rings ( they are colded that for a very good reason when you are doing chainmail they do jump all over the place ) try and get a good quality ones the work harden and close as if the are a solid loop the ones in kits are well you get what you pay for, Cookson gold i used to get mine if i couldnt be bothered to make my own, just bought bead making moulds if im going to make jewellery out of my left overs then im gonna make the beads as well
I use that same window film to make mine too :) Does the light prism through the colours like it does clear resin? I put a dab of UV resin on the jump rings to seal them, also you can cut strips of the window film to fit the bookmarks and then it will leave the imprint on them too, I turn those into wind turners by slightly twisting them when they are still soft. Have you thought about placing the colours in the Chakra order?
Thanks for the tip on the jump rings. The back where the paper was its very visible, on the front not as much until the light catches it. Because these are transparent you get the joys both side in different lights. Hope that makes sense, I have a video coming up on that also, watch this space

I have made 3 sets so far. The 3rd set cracked at the bottom where I forced the curve. It was fine at first but after I put my beads through and hug it up it started cracking and broke. Do you think it's my resin or how I am mixing it. I thought I had done it the same way so I'm not sure.
With out see it its hard to tell. The first cause could be the bending, if you left it too late and the resin was too cured it could cause stress and cracks. Second could be where you drilled you holes, did that cause stress? Third, it could be the Resin thickness of the moulds or the quality of you resin. So sorry to read it didn't go so well for you.

When tying fishing line my father taught me to use a tiny drop of fast drying glue on the knot worked like a charm on my jewelry

I find using wire guardians work best for keeping the beading thread from slipping through the tiny gaps in the jump rings. 😁 Take care luv. 💐

I would put a small bead of solder right on the opening of the jump rings it'll it'll hold up and the best part it won't come undone just to drop

If you put a little bit of masking tape over where you are going to drill the hole and drill through that it stops you slipping, hope this helps.

I have made 3 sets so far. The 3rd set cracked at the bottom where I forced the curve. It was fine at first but after I put my beads through and hug it up it started cracking and broke. Do you think it's my resin or how I am mixing it. I thought I had done it the same way so I'm not sure.
With out see it its hard to tell. The first cause could be the bending, if you left it too late and the resin was too cured it could cause stress and cracks. Second could be where you drilled you holes, did that cause stress? Third, it could be the Resin thickness of the moulds or the quality of you resin. So sorry to read it didn't go so well for you.

I would place these in the windows indoor but these are a strong Resin pigment not a dye or Alcohol Ink so they should stay strong
Use a split ring instead of a jump ring sharon.

How does everyone keep their book mark molds flat. Mine were all crumpled up in shipping and I've never been able to get them flat
That's bad for you, mine always come flat. I have a small box i out them in and as i have a collection the lay on the sides like books on a shelf
