@@AR4F_77 on God. I was going to drop it before he was introduced but my friend told me it got good so I didn't. As soon as he got into his first fight I immediately loved his character. If someone hasn't seen 7 deadly sins I will recommend it solely so they can meet escanor. He is in my top 3 favorite anime characters. I can't figure out the order but the top 3 are asta (black clover) escanor (7 deadly sins) and Chad (bleach).
He is hands down the greatest character in the show with the coolest lines in the show ("My attacks have no effect on you? Who decided that? Your darkness swallowed my sun? Who decided that? ... I'm the one who decides. Now...die." One of the coldest moments I've seen in anime). Before he was introduced Ban was my favorite (Ban still rocks), but he is just epic. His duel with Galan was awesome. Furthermore, he embodies his Sin far more accurately and fully than the others do, but also shows the benefits and costs too. To take pride in who you are and what have and can accomplish is important, if not essential for a proper sense of self. During the day, in the light, in front of everyone, Escanor was prideful, and was able to walk his talk better than I've ever seen in a bar fight (I'm a career bartender, anyone who runs their mouth about fighting or being better than you 99% of the time walks away yelling insults ineffectually. Or actually tries to fight and its embarrassing because they're drunk and you've done this a hundred times) but at night he was humble and vulnerable, where only those he cared about and whom cared for him would see. And regardless of his state, he was always honest and earnest.
My man Escanor. He is pride personified. Arrogance with the strength to back it up. He truly stands at the pinnacle of all races. Sad he had to die but you will be remembered. 🔥🔥
when he laughed and cut the guy in half with a single blow that soloed most of the other deadly sins with ease i mean......thats how u introduce a charicter good god i was hooked and i still hope they do a spin off series on him i quit watching after he died cause it just got really......wierd

He is the best character in the whole series, he outshines everyone till his death. He was the protagonist for me, pity they introduced him so late.
