People don't seem to realize how strong Escanor is compared to the other Sins. They have to use their holy weapons to get stronger. Fun fact: I’m pretty sure in the manga, it’s said the Seven Deadly Sin’s tattoos weren’t actually made from ink, but rather were carved into their skin, which means Escanor casually went in there and got the largest tattoo out of all of them by a decent margin just to flex (Diane’s tattoo was close but I don’t count her due to relative size difference)

I feel like it needs to be mentioned that Escanor didn't just body six different commandments in one season. He fought them in pairs, because even the author is like "1v1? At least give them a chance."
The best part when Escanor said he is the pinnacle above demons and humans. He said it while near Galan which keep in mind, it's a curse that you have to speak the truth or your going to be turned into stone. Escanor was so real about his statement that he knows he is the pinnacle.
Never forget that Escanor bodied a Commandment that is supposed to be unkillable because _he can't feel hate towards the guy._ He is THAT much of an arrogant bastard. He's also _immune_ to the Commandments' curses because he has a grace. Estarossa can run.
The Commandment of Estarosa had effect only on those who hated him or were angry on him. And Escanor did not overpower it - he was simply unaffected. Because he didn't feel anything but pity to a guy matched up with him.
My favorite scene of Escanor was his “Who decided that?” talk against Estarosa. The absolute beauty and purpose of the sin of pride embodied in the man who rises above all races. Love him ❤️

As good as it was in the anime (eng dub) it was even better in the manga. The anime didn't quite capture what happened with Escanor in that moment. The normal pride and arrogance he normally talks with amplified so highly this man started speaking in Old English using "thee" and "whom" and shit. "I will be the one who decides... die." - Escanor, eng dub "I am the only one who decides such things..... Begone." - Escanor, manga. Estarossa also remarks about the way he speaks changing suddenly in the manga. Shit was chilling to read as he just erased Estarossa and we had to wait a long time to find out he survived. lol

The man's power is literally a "Nah, I'm stronger" it's just over the top to the point it should be bullsh*t, but his character is so well done it comes off as pure art. At no point does this guy think, "I'm gonna lose this, or maybe I can't beat this" He just beats the sh*t out of anyone just because he's that damn prideful and strong it's ridiculous. More so than any other sin in the show, he embodies his sin to an absolute T. The other sins do match their sins well enough, it's just that Escanor is pride, his very being is pride.

Gonna be honest, Escanor is the reason I watched the show, and he was pretty much one of the only main characters I genuinely enjoyed watching. His sacrifice could have been great, but in my opinion the execution was kinda sloppy. I mean, he died in a fight that had absolutely no stakes since Mel was already stronger than DK at this point, and then he just sorta dies and no one really cared after it happened. I still get chills to this day when I see escanor appear for the first time or with his battle with Estarosa especially with “Who decided that”? I completely fell in love with him
This really made me realize how escanor LITERALLY ran the whole royal demon family's fade, he beat up and fried Estarossa (technically Mael but nobody ever told him anyway), gave Meliodas the "BOI" treatment (ya I know he chopped em but still), poked Zeldris to near death, and went blow for blow with their dad then beat his ass for a bit.
Escanor definitely needed to join the table. Also I think Kenshiro from Fist of the Northstar needs to join it as well if he's not already because anybody who's catchphrase is "You're already dead" gotta be Black Air Force Energy.

The man's power is literally a "Nah, I'm stronger" it's just over the top to the point it should be bullsh*t, but his character is so well done it comes off as pure art. At no point does this guy think, "I'm gonna lose this, or maybe I can't beat this" He just beats the sh*t out of anyone just because he's that damn prideful and strong it's ridiculous. More so than any other sin in the show, he embodies his sin to an absolute T. The other sins do match their sins well enough, it's just that Escanor is pride, his very being is pride.
Greed didnt match his. His powers did but personality wise he wasnt greedy at all. Greed was a cool character but we cant act like he was greedy
Even when his powers were stripped away, at no point did he think "oh shit I can't beat this", which empowers that point even more

The part you got wrong about Esterossas commandment was anyone who had specifically held hatred for him could not advance. Escanor then proceeded to genuinely question how he could ever hate anyone inferior to him
You know, Escanor is not just the embodiment of Pride, but he is also humanity’s Pride, whenever he defeat a deamon or a god, he always goes ”how does it feal, to get beaten by a human ?” his pride have absolute no limit, compared to others sins. He be the weakest, but also the strongest. And his backstory is tragic, he was left for dead but the gods decided to give him a chance and give him the power of the literaly god of the sun. All the other characters are princes or gods (and one immortal) but he is just an abandonned prince nobody from an unknown kingdom

Escanor was truly a Tank. Literally no one could stop him. One of the best overpowered characters period.

Gonna be honest, Escanor is the reason I watched the show, and he was pretty much one of the only main characters I genuinely enjoyed watching. His sacrifice could have been great, but in my opinion the execution was kinda sloppy. I mean, he died in a fight that had absolutely no stakes since Mel was already stronger than DK at this point, and then he just sorta dies and no one really cared after it happened. Just my opinion, though.

This really made me realize how escanor LITERALLY ran the whole royal demon family's fade, he beat up and fried Estarossa (technically Mael but nobody ever told him anyway), gave Meliodas the "BOI" treatment (ya I know he chopped em but still), poked Zeldris to near death, and went blow for blow with their dad then beat his ass for a bit.
