Thank you for the video. As an owner of a Scribe, could you please do a comparison video with it? I’d like to see their screens side by side. Compare the weight. Compare the feel, the contrast, etc. Cheers!
Great video. Sadly I decided to return mine after a few hours of use because the flickering colours were too distracting. I also didn't like the increased scratchiness of the new nib and surface. In my experience that isn't how a fountain pen on paper should feel. I did loved the bigger screen, the premium build and I thought the OS was noticeably quicker than the rM2. If the rM3 takes these from the Paper Pro, but retains its rM2 nibs and mono surface, then that'd be a keeper in my opinion.
Thanks for your comment on the video! I can deal with flickering colours, but the 'mutedness' of the colours, compared to the video they showed to launch the product, is very disappointing. I quite like the scratchy nib 😁. The build and the look, I agree, are incredible.
I find this a curious device. It’s limited compared to my Boox Go 10.3 but the extra screen size is very nice. It’s very expensive for what it is but I haven’t sent it back yet which means some part of me wants to keep it. I’ll be interested in how you take to it.
This was a good extensive review. My impression was that the colors are not impressive and the flicker is odd. It looks like a really cool gadget, but it is a very expensive legal pad! I don't think I would like it. Cheers Mark
Hey Mark, Kindle Scribe user here. I'm curious what your throughs are on the "paperlike feel" when writing as compared to the Scribe? About the same? A bit better? Or does it blow the Scribe away? That's one of the most important things to me, and I like the Scribe quite a lot in this regard. I'm wondering if this is significantly different or not. Thanks!
Hey Josh! Thanks for the comment. I love the Scribe and certainly appreciate how it feels to write on. However, all other issues with the Paper Pro aside, I prefer the 'scratchier' feel of the reMarkable Marker on that device. This is a little subjective, so take my feelings around as you will!
From the reviews I've seen so far, I'm disappointed. The colours are too muted, the flashing when rendering is very distracting, and the non-wacom pen. :(
Totally agree. I am pretty disappointed with Paper Pro in this regard, as the launch video they released gives a different impression of how good this tech is!
The price is what kills it for me, NO WAY the price is no where near worth this much. The Color Ink is not baked yet and within 1-2 years it will be absolutely battery and for someone to spend $700 with accessories and color refresh the way it does it doesn't justify the price. This is a nice gadget and the price is worth $399 max.
It is pretty pricey when you add all the possible accessories you can get with it - of course, a marker is needed, and then you really need a protective case. I think I will make a comparison video between the Boox Note Air 3C and the Paper Pro regarding colour. I am quite disappointed with Paper Pro in this regard, as the launch video they released gives a different impression about how good this tech is - I'd even say it was, at best, disingenuous.

Totally - in the pipeline! Thanks for your comment.
Really high quality review! Keep up the great work!
Glad you enjoyed it! As a TH-camr, you get some mean comments despite how hard you try, so I appreciate your encouragement 🤩

I'll let you know! (I never really want to return tech either.)
Cool review 🔥
Glad you liked it!

You're absolutely right. And you can't use it to watch youtube or Netflix.
@@kuantingchenThat's because it's not meant for watching youtube or netflix?
Thanks for your comment, David!
It's an E Ink tablet ... why would you expect to watch videos on this thing?!
I'll stick to my Kindle Scribe thanks, although it could do with a few more features. Any software updates coming soon?
Rest assured, I'll post a video if there are any significant software updates! 😁

Hey good review but I’ve seen photos of these colors on Reddit and they look way more vibrant - so now I don’t know if those were altered 😂
Almost all the reviews I've seen so far show very muted colours. It's a bit disappointing.
The Paper Pro original launch video is a little deceiving regarding the colours. They are much more muted than I believed they would be!
@@mark_kelly ok I guess I’ll go with the boox note air 3C because at least it has a search function

why hasn't kindle scribe added gestures like remarkable geez
It's the small things isn't it?
Because Amazon seems to abandoned the scribe to just being a marginal note taking device. It’s a glorified oasis reader.
