      @@robhansen6745 I have bad English, can’t you briefly describe what you wrote?

    • @AlexNKoh
      @AlexNKoh 5 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@robhansen6745 What you wrote and the style in which you wrote it is propaganda. You yourself did not even notice how you became a victim of American propaganda. If you lived in Russia for at least 1 year, you would see how wrong you are. In Russia there are completely different points of view. There are many people who criticize the Russian government and go out to street protests. There are other people who see the positive results of Putin’s rule (and there really are those results - I can prove it with facts, if you want). And there are those people who have a balanced position, and understand that in today's world there is almost no black and white. There are many colors and shades in the current world. And recently in Russia it has been possible to combine different often opposing opinions, different political views, different cultures, religions and traditions. In Russia, there are almost no conflicts on political, religious or ethnic grounds. They are much smaller than in the USA and European countries. Russia is a country with a high potential for cultural, economic and technological development. And by 2025 it will be very noticeable if you do not see it now. So, you look at Russia through one-color propaganda glasses, and this is regrettable. In Russia, of course, there is evil, no one argues. But evil exists in any country, to one degree or another. And just Russia is far from the country in which evil prevails over good. In fact, it's just the opposite. And you need to live in Russia at least a little in order to be convinced of this, and not judge from your bell tower.
      Good and evil in their absolute form are no longer found since Hitler. And if you compare Russia with the United States, then the United States is a much more deceitful and hypocritical state than Russia. This is very clearly seen in their actions of Syria. Everyone knows that ISIS was created by the United States. It is a fact. Like Alkaida, this is also a US project. Only illiterate people do not know this. That is, with one hand the United States supported and supplied ISIS with weapons in order to overthrow Assad's unwanted regime in Syria, and on the other hand carried out bombing of the “capitals” of the Islamic state - Raqqa and Mosul - with huge civilian casualties. The world did not know a more false policy. Also during World War II, American business sponsored two sides at the same time: both Hitler Germany and the countries of the allies of the anti-Hitler coalition. This is the brink of hypocrisy! The US has always profited from wars and conflicts around the world. This is the most lying state! Of course, I am not talking about US citizens, but about the political and business structures that are at the helm of this country. And this is not propaganda, but historical facts. You can easily find confirmation of my thesis in independent sources. Only if your brains are washed by American propaganda, then you will not begin to search for the truth. We have a political opposition in Russia, and not just one, who, like you, consider Putin an evil dictator. Many, of course, disagree with them. And I also consider this to be nothing more than convenient political rhetoric, which has little to do with real reality, and corresponds to it only partly. But even this opposition recognizes the deceit and hypocrisy of American politicians! So, “whose cow would moo” - as we say)) This is in case you are an American. Or are you from Ukraine, which is more like the truth, judging by the level of your errors.)) In any case, what you wrote is all American propaganda. And note, you wrote more about the Russians themselves. You judge Russians as a nation as a whole. But I'm not saying bad things about Americans in general, but I'm telling the truth about US politics, and about their political and business elite, which is doing very bad things in the world. And even many of the Americans know about this, who knows how to analyze different sources of information. I am sure that you are a good person, as well as the absolute number of Americans and Europeans. But you are brainwashed. And among you there are so few people who use independent sources of information. But the Internet does exist for this. You must be able to search the truth on the Internet if you want to possess it. You should be able to look for objective sources of information, not from the media. Good luck finding the truth!

    When I was a kid my father gave me a rare present: An USSR magazine for kids, MISHA. It was so, so well made and designed, the material was almost indestructible, full of fantastic comics, ilustrated and funny tales, posters, riddles, photos and fancy and short reports about life in Soviet Union and even some stories about space exploration. It was by far the best material I've ever had about Russia and it was published in 30 lenguages. As a kid I used to read those stories every night before to go to bed, but I lost my MISHA magazine and never recovered it. It must have been the best publication for kids ever! That was my first contact with this country and probably that's why Russia always has fascinating me to these days. A kind of "Inception" I guess. I hope the best for Russian people.

    I rode my KTM 1290SA from Dresden to Russia (via Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia). It was super cool!
    It wasn’t my first visit, I’ve been many times over the last two decades, but first time by motorcycle.
    Funniest thing...I was in Russia less than one hour, in Pskov (beautiful city) and a Russian man behind me was flashing his lights and sounding his horn. I stopped at the traffic lights and he wound his window down, he was so excited to see my Dresden number plates (DD), and he spoke to me in German telling me he’d been based there during the Cold War. The Soviets had a big tank barracks there, and of course Putin as well. He had a lot of good memories of Dresden and East Germans. It was a very nice start to my time in Russia. Amazing country. People should visit before forming an opinion about Russians.

    I am Bulgarian. Have been 3 times to Russia and Ukraine. I speak the language and feel comfortable there. People are very friendly and sincere. I have lived in the USA almost 12 years, 5- in Italy, 6- in Austria and now live in the UK. They do smile and love to laugh, but you will not find the fake smile/grin there as in the USA per example.
    Most of them are highly educated, very polite and appreciate culture of every kind be it paintings, balet, cinema, writing, etc.
    It such a pity that most of theWestern world have been kept away and brainwashed against Russians. If only...one day...we all drop down barriers many people will start going to and learn about Russia. Only then, they will change their mind.
    I admire them for their stoizism, heroism, patriotism and devotion to the cause.

      and on that vodka note: remember that alcohol is a truth serum. and even if one is stumbling drunk while trying to carry a four year old out of a burning villa, they would likely attempt the same when stone cold sober. point is that either way, most russians are not going to simply stand by.

The interactions I had with people from the parts of Russia I visited, Samara, St. Petersburg, Moscow while different, they were uniform in their appreciation for India. In most European countries it's quite common for people to speak at least a little English so they can communicate with each other, especially in such major cities. Obviously, if you visit a country you're gonna learn the very basics out of politeness but you're not spoiled if you expect a fellow European to help you out in English. It's not like America where you essentially have 2 languages across one half of the globe and don't bother to learn the other one. As a European, if you'd need to perfect every language around you, you might as well stay at home

    When I was a kid, I used to read children's books published in Russia. I remember there was a book named ' The seven-petaled flower'. It's about a girl named Shenya who has a flower with seven petals each of which grant her a wish. After using six of them for her own childish wishes, she uses the last petal to make a wish for recovery for a differently-abled boy.
    The story showed how important it is to care for others. I think that mentality is what we see in Russians even today. Friendly people who reach out to other countries in need. Ever since reading that book, I've had the dream of visiting Russia. I will go there soon.

A lot of people struggle to live and they don't have a lot of opportunities in terms of advancing themselves economically compared to western countries like the US, Canada, UK and etc. I knew a few people from Russia, studying in the US as graduate students, some of the stuff they described to me showed it's definitely not easy. They told me other than Moscow, St. Petersburg and the urban areas you really won't find much opportunity to help build yourself career wise.

    I feel like a need to explain the money thing: I am having a sallary of around $2000 a month. Not much, you can tell, but still I can afford renting a nice 2 rooms apartments in the center of Moscow ($750). I spend around $20 a month for electricity and water and my spendings for the internet (60 Mb/s)and mobile plan with unlimited data are $20 alltogether. Every month I buy an unlimited public transportation card for $30 and use UBER a lot (average trip is around $5-7). Food here is around twice as cheap as in EU, so you can imagine your groseries spendings and cut them in half. Average bill in a restaurant for two persons is $35-50 (inc. wine), McDonalds meal is around $5, a bucket of 25 wings in KFC - $8. Education is *mostly* free, healthcare is *mostly* free, a litre of 95 gas costs 70 cents.
    What I am saying - $450 average in Russia or $1200 in Moscow is pretty Okay for living.

      @John Smith Not exactly. I bought a flat few days ago, but it was exchanged for an old one I got from my grandpa. Most of my friends my age can afford buying apartments on credit, and these apartments in many cases will be situated not even in Moscow, and as long as Moscow region is freaking huge, they can spend up to 1,5 hours to get to work every day. Plus, bank interests in Russia are very high. If you get a flat with 10% mortgage, you're lucky (but you will still pay twice as high in the end, lol).
      Cheap heating is true, yes, but hey - we're northern industrial country! It would be weird if there were colonies on Mars with low supplies of oxygen, for example...
      Health and education are *mostly* cheap and this *mostly* really matters. Like, yeah, if you have a flu or broke your leg free medicine is ok, but what of you have cancer?)) Russian *mostly* free heathcare system advises you to go f yourself, because you with our local sallaries can't afford serious western-level treatment. Same with education, basically.
      Taxes are kinda low, yeah, but not as low as you think: there are many "shadow taxes", which go God knows where and dissolve in some official's pockets.
      There are plenty of pros and cons, actually, but I like living here - it's a nice country, and what's more important - it's never boring here (especially if you enjoy dark humor).

    Excellent video! Kudos to the team, who picturized this beautiful video of this lovely country. During my school days, I used to admire Russia a lot, as we had subscribed a lot of Soviet (old name of Russia) magazines including Sputnik, Soviet Travel, Misha, etc. And they were really lovely, to say the least. I used to get a lot of updated information from those magazines including the latest happenings in health, family care, science, and technology. In fact, I was greatly influenced by the Russian culture and their day-to-day life at that time and started developing a strong affinity towards Russians. And Russian Women are so beautiful and wonderful. I really dreamt of visiting Russia one day and meeting Russians. Even today, I have a special place for Russians in my heart, though we Indians are very much influenced by American and Western culture. Even on the educational front, Russia boasts of some of the best universities in the world. I want to make a lot of friends from Russia, who could share more genuine information about Russia and its culture and that would really be a great experience.

      @M. N. K. The Bulgarian Alphabet you call Cirilic , is created 30 years after Ciril died, by his students - Climent, Naum, Sava, Gorazd and Angelarii in BULGARIA , and was paid by the bulgarian Tzar - Boris 1 - Mihail around 882-886. And all the Orthodox books were translated in Bulgarian. Read the real history, and stop repeating lies. There is no Byzantine Empire, it is Eastern Roman Empire, with capital Constantinolop. Bulgaria had a great culture long before that - just see Kubrat's treasures and you'll be shocked to learn, that he was a christian , graduated in Constaninopol. Cyril and Methodus were sent to create an alphabet for Great Moravia , and created Glagolica, but then Moravia got rid of them . Their students came to Great Bulgaria and were paid to create the Bulgarian aplphabet, now known as Cyrilic alphabet.

    • @rudy0078
      @rudy0078 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @M. N. K. Obviously, we did create the Bulgarian alphabet without the Roman Empire. 19 of the Emperors were Thracians, including Constantin The Great, and his mother Helena. Greek culture is based on Thracian culture, as the Thracians were the native population here for more than 4 000 years. They crafted gold, and build great cities. Byzantion is the old name of Constantinopol, and it is a Thracian city. Bulgarian tzar Tervel - called The Savior Of Europe , is the only ruler outside Rome Empire, who was given the title Cesar. He defeated the arabs, and saved Constantinopolis .
