I actually like the fact that they used Sonic and Tails to get positive messages out to kids
Instead of someone telling them like they're instructing them, they use a kid's cartoon character who may make the kid feel more comfortable or trusting
Even things that might be cringe to us now, they still conveyed an important message to us back then!
and also just having sonic stand in front of the camera and say plainly “no one has the right to touch you if you don’t want them to” must have been a comfort to children who have unfortunately found themselves in those positions. it may look goofy to us with the music in the background and the animation, but if i was a kid i probably wouldn’t listen unless it’s just sonic telling you the facts of life. i guess
Honestly, since every kid probably wanted to be Sonic, they'd probably here him out on stuff like this. It's kinda like the cool kid in school saying what you should and shouldn't do and you listen to him at a young age because you wanna be cool too.
With no internet and most parents overly religious and afraid themselves to talk about this stuff, when they'd rather pretend it didn't exist. Cartoons also reach really young children whom this information is just as important for since the younger a child is the more naïve they are, schools usually hold back until children are older plus kids usually tune out warnings at school.
Now does that look fun to you? If so, your brains are scrambled.

Cartoons always made quick sand seem more like a problem than it actually was. In my 28 years of living, I've not encountered it once.

I once got stuck in quicksand and managed to escape, losing my boots in the process and having to walk in sub-zero temperatures while covered in water and dirt back to my friend's place
Found out from my dad later that day that a relative on his side of the family died that way

I was so confused by that! Even some very popular flowers like azaleas and some rhododendron flowers (that’s the Washington state flower!) are poisonous to humans and animals. That’s super interesting about monkshood!

9:28 someone may have brought this up during the livestream but if not: there were a lot of PSAs in the 90s telling kids (and adults but obv it's easier to impress on kids) to wear their seatbelts bc before then it was just... not required. like a lot of cars didn't even have seat belts, that was new in the 90s and there was a big push to get people to use them.
That's interesting, and also computers being harder to use in the 90's because they were also newer.
It’s funny because people back then reacted to seatbelts the same way people nowadays react to face masks. ”But our freedom!!”

Yup! Mom taught me that! It even saved her life once because she was in the park this one time and she had this...feeling she was being watched, and she turns around and sees this guy on the overhead bridge (in our park there's a riverside path and there are multiple bridges that go over it) looking down at her, and when she kept walking he started following her all the way down to her house, so she started running screaming "fire!" and people started coming out to look so he ran away.

What makes the OK K.O Sonic Sez one interesting is that it kinda connects with the show's own finale somewhat.
And the fact is based in quotes from the Classic era. Specially the one from the first game.

Actually in AoStH, Tails was shown to be mechanically inclinedas he would build stuff for Sonic from time to time.

Yeah, that one didn't really work out. Too much pressure and sensory overload. Plus, whenever I'd have a meltdown, my teachers would just scold me and I'd get in trouble. Mom ended up pulling me out and homeschooling me, and I am so much better for it.

This is my type of content
The one on infomercials is pretty relevant to my current college studies. I'm in a class about Navigating Information, and just yesterday we discussed how ads use signifiers and other techniques to mislead us, especially when it comes to persuading us of a very limited and biased opinion or who or what doesn't belong.

I forget the actual numbers, but in 2018 dollars when I looked it up out of sheer curiostiy, the robodude would still cost around 300-350 dollars which is about the same as a new console. So technically it could still absolutely be affordable.

I really hope that in the future you will make more modern snt fanfics like you did with snt forces I would absolutely love a fic about various love interests of snt trying to win her over without her ever noticing or something funny and cute like that

A problem I have is with the episode ‘Mama Robotnik Returns.’ Basically, it’s ‘even if you don’t agree with it, you have to obey the law.’ The thing is, the basis of the episode is that Eggman’s mom adopted them, and they had to go along with it because ‘it’s the law.’ Nobody listened to them during the court session and Tails was put in direct danger. While obeying the law is a good message, you need to speak out at times. What if the inspector came a little bit too late?

On an unrelated note I think Paramount missed out on some advertising bonuses by not using movie Sonic in a parody PSA. I wonder if we will ever get a Movie Sonic Says...
