As a hairstylist i had a client who made thi for christmas. She added marchino cherries in green and red! Shecalso added walnuts! It was so good this way. She always made it for Christmas for many years! I.loved it that way! Hers was soft not to firm like chocolate fudge.
Thank you for sharing this recipe. It takes me back over 70 years when my Grandma used to make a very similar recipe for the holidays. Brings back so many memories.
Thank you Lorna!🥰 One of the reasons I was determined to learn how to make it was because of my Grandma ❤️ thank you for watching, and sharing your memory🤗
My grandmother and my mom could make the creamiest fudge. I’ve tried but it turned out sugary and now with your instructions I will once again give it a go. Thanks! 😁
Can you make this into chocolate fudge? Old pan is an old pressure cooker Pot😊I found some hard plastic scrapers at lg hardware store in. plaster area that works great.
Wow! I just finished my first batch and it is fantastic! I followed your directions exactly except I added 1/4 teaspoon salt because I like salty fudge. My 16" x 20" marble slab was just big enough. It took 9 minutes "creaming" before it lost its gloss, and then I had to work fast because it set up in another 30 seconds! So delicious! I used a 9" square pan lined with parchment paper. I can't wait until tomorrow to see how creamy this will get! Thanks a million for the great recipe and your great instructions!
Ohhhh that’s fantastic! I’m so glad it worked out for ya! Keep at it and you’ll have the technique perfected! It truly is the best kind of fudge! And there are so many options with it! Check out some of my other fudge videos😀 Thank you for sharing your success!!🌺
You deserve that whole piece!! Shoot, you deserve the whole pan!! That was a lot of work!!! It looks delicious!! My mouth is watering especially when you stated the longer it sits, the creamier it gets, YUM! I miss the days of learning how to cook and bake from my grandmother and my great- grandmother ( she was from Italy) . I would do anything to go back there again! God Bless. Enjoy that whole delicious piece of fudge! 😉

I loved watching your video. I’m excited but scared to try this. My mom made a white fudge and it was so good. I hope this is the recipe she used. You are adorable by the way! Thank you and God bless you
Oh wow! Thank you so much Kelly! All it takes is some patience..I failed several times before I got it! And when you finally get it, you’ll be happy you persisted! It’s the best and creamiest fudge ever! It was my moms favorite 🥰🥰
Thank you for diagnosing my fudge problem. The sugar recrystalized. It was awful and grainy. Now I know why: I stirred it while it was cooling! You make it on a marble slab like the professionals. I love all the details you give about keeping the sugar from recrystalizing. I hope I can finally make decent fudge. Thank You!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experience with me Francine! I’m glad you liked the video and appreciated the details..I know it was long, as I felt like it needed to be. I really enjoy making the fudge. Also, once you get the vanilla down, there are so many things you can do with it to make other flavors! Please lmk how your batch turns out, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! And you’re very welcome!🤗💞

Your grandmother sounds lovely! I truly look forward to acquiring my corn syrup so I can make this recipe, out of the thousands I've looked at this is the only one that I'm going to go out of my way to try. Thank you....

Thanks for pressure cooker tip, I had everything except a heavy pan to make the fudge. Then I remembered I have a pressure cooker stored away in garage.

My daughter and I enjoyed this video. I’m 77 years old and this looks like my Mom’s Old Fashion White Fudge. I cook it in my Mom’s old pressure cooker pot too. 😊. We had to to like and subscribe from Georgia. 🍑
Hello Georgia! From Kentucky! It’s so nice to hear someone else call it “white fudge”😄 isn’t it the best? And definitely the creamiest! You can’t beat an old pressure cooker! Thank y’all for watching! the like and sub!🤗
Hi Becky! Bought my marble slab and ready to go now 😊 Do you have a FB page? It would be a great place for Q & A on your recipes! We can also show you what we made with “your” recipes 😊
That’s awesome! I do, although I just use my personal page to post things related to my channel..you can send a request to Rebekah McConnell Wallace…just leave a brief message if you don’t mind so I’ll know it’s you! Looking forward to see how it goes! Hit me up with any questions you have! 👏🏾👏🏾🤗

Hi. I made this yesterday and it is divine. I am going to make it again and add nuts. After boiling it. it tested as planned. I let it sit awhile (without touching it) then stirred it with a large spoon. It did not take as long as in your video to set up, so I thought I had done something wrong, but it still is very creamy to me. Thanks
Yay!!! I’m glad it turned out for ya! It was very hot out that day, and more than likely that may of had something to do with the length of time it took to set up. Black walnuts go well, I’ve added pistachios also…😋😋 Thanks for watching Sharon!
Thank you so much for sharing your family recipe and technique! I've been reading about the science of fudge making from a textbook, and your recipe applies those concepts perfectly in a way I can replicate at home. I can't wait to try this!
I loved your video. I now realize I need to get a marble slab. I'm trying to make Penuche (brown sugar fudge). I realize I need to work it on a marble slab like you did.
Yeah!!!!WHITE FUDGE💕💕💜💕💕 Remember grade school and bringing Grandma Hazel’s fudge. All the teachers would want to buy it before you went to each class and stand with your baked goods. Well if you had anything left that the teachers didn’t buy. All the kids would buy it at the first room you went to. So you have already sold all of your fudge. Then when you get back to your room after you went to about (6) different classrooms you would be smiling and then look over and see a couple of kids having most of there (so called fudge) still in the container they brought it in!!!!😩😩🙃🙃😂🤣 “MEMORIES”💕💜💕
Still waiting on my white fudge with black walnuts.🤔🤔. You definitely are the master at grandma Hazel’s fudge!! She’d be soooo proud! 🥰😍😘💜. You’re getting much better at filming. Love how you go off on your tangents then bring yourself back to the task at hand!! 😂🤣😂🤣. Keep up the great work sis!!💜😘
Thank you Faith! I appreciate it! Yes, you absolutely can stir it in the pot, I did so for several years. Just make sure you allow it to cool for no more than 55 minutes. Otherwise it will be harder to stir. Let me know how it goes. If you have any more questions, hit me up! 😁
So glad I found this!!! We've got an old recipe, except we roll fudge into balls and drizzle semisweet chocolate over it and top with a pecan half. Delish, but very finnicky to make.
Thank you for the great video. I can't wait to try this recipe. I want to get a marble board to use. For this recipe, what do you recommend as the smallest size marble board that would work well? Possibly a round one? Thanks again!
I’m not sure if you could find a round one big enough…I’m not at home, but I’ll surf through the comments for the size of mine. I’ve been asked before somewhere..lol
Thank you for this video! I get the same respect from my kids too- lol. The detail in this video helped me so much- I’m going to try it using my granite countertop. I hope it works the same as your marble. Best wishes.
Thank you because I cannot find anyone that knows how to make red-eye gravy are they homemade old fashioned goulash please show me how cuz I love to have me some
Hey Renette! I’ve talked with a few gravy makers…im in Kentucky you know!..lol Anyhow…are you wanting the red-eye with water only, or with coffee? My mom made goulash all the time growing up🥰🥰
That's good where are you at in Kentucky now are you doing good I would really love to get to see you sometimes you turned out to be a beautiful woman I'm proud of you
Thank you Amy! Sorry I’m just now seeing this...have you made it yet? It’s such a wonderful recipe! But if it’s the same, I’m sure you know how good it is! Yummm! Thank you for watching, and sharing your comment! 💞
I can't wait to try this! After all these years, I still can't make pulled candy. My Grandmother gave up on me long ago. Blue Monday is Kentucky's best kept candy secret.
Oh yes..I love Blue Mondays! Pulled candy is challenging! It’s best to have one of those hooks on the wall…makes the pulling sooo much easier! I’ll always remember the experience of helpful my Grandma make it…thanks for watching Barbara!..and sharing! 🤗🥰
Becky this is my granma's fudge recipe except she used canned evaporated milk. I use cream - lol. I am experimenting today and subbing the subar with granulated stevia. I will let you know how that works.
Hi! Thanks for watching! How did the stevia work out for ya? Cream would for sure make it extra rich 😁 I actually use canned milk for my chocolate, like my grandma always did🥰
Love you …point blank… I loose things when I put them away…this year I got one medium tote just for candy and cookie making equipment Love this recipe…..
Excellent fudge. Is that your daughter in the background? You have the patience of a saint. I would have banished her from the kitchen! She definitely wants to take part.
Thank you so much! Believe me Granny, I pray for patience…OFTEN! 😆😂 I appreciate you watching my video! Fudge is one of my favorite things to make! Just ask my scales..lol 🥴
I make an old fashioned vanilla fudge but it’s made with brown sugar so it tastes more like caramel and it melts in your mouth too and very addicting. Who needs chocolate, this is the best flavor 🤣🤣🤣
54 years old and I never realized until today…. That I NEED a marble slab in my life! Now I’m on the serious hunt for one. 😂 That and that perfect instrument you got from Lowe’s. What was that called again?
I want to let you know that i think you are so for real and a beautiful lady. Thank you for this vanilla fudge recipe. I just don't want white chocolate chips in my fudge. I wish we were neighbors and could share foods..🤗
Aww…thank you! And I wish we were neighbors and could share food too! ..I believe this to be the best true vanilla fudge recipe..I hope you try it, and if any questions lmk!🤗🤗
@@BeckyIntheKitchen yes, i will. When the family purchase chocolate fudge they can't eat it after having the old recipe i cook. I need a flat of marble and a drywall knife though 🤗 ill let you know soon
I use different ones..I like to buy what’s on sale.. but if I had my pick..it would be land of lakes..I got a bunch from Kroger when was on sale, and put in my freezer 🤗
Hey Shiela! You could add cereal if you wanted…I’d just be careful not to add any that is super sweet though…as far as the caramel..I personally would not because it would make it overly sweet and perhaps change the consistency…🙂
You’re probably too young to remember, but there used to be a band called Vanilla Fudge. Dont ask me what songs they sang-my memory doesn’t extend THAT far. I think it was from the early 70’s
Thank you! That sounds so pretty! I actually did something a little similar, with pistachios, dried apricots and dried cherries! This fudge is so versatile! Appreciate you sharing the memory!🤗
I have never been able to do cold water test…watched my grandma many time do it….I try and fail.. I have to use thermometer. You have the gift from your granny on ball stage….lucky lady
Thank you! I saw her do it many times. She always put ice in the water to make sure it was good and cold. Then let me eat the testers..lol my favorite part 😄
I would add the rum in place of the extract..then add the raisins before it start to lose its gloss…I have other fudge videos in a playlist where I add things such as nuts, marshmallows…etc…and generally I do that before it begins to lose its gloss. 😊
This is by far the best vanilla fudge recipe ❤
Thank you so much!😊

😂😂😂...”so called fudge” I didn’t know she made that for y’all to take to school..love the memories 🥰❤️🥰
Too funny Deb!! 😂🤣😂🤣
Alesia Carter 😂😂 you’ll get it Smokey!...someday...thanks 😁💞
Becky In the Kitchen 💜
Actually watched this 3x 😊 for those who don’t have a slab do you stir in the pot? I will be sharing these videos! Thanks again!
Thank you Pamela! Sounds delicious! Although it’s tedious, I bet they’re fun to make with family! 🤗🤗
My dads been wanting some vanilla fudge and this looks delicious!! I like your style of cooking!! Thank you!!
Your dad will love this! If you have any questions at all about making it, please let me know...thanks! 🤗
@@BeckyIntheKitchen God Bless You and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Thank you Darla! Have a blessed day 🤗💞🤗
Thank you for the great video.
My slab is 23”x 29”…thanks for watching! 😀
Thank you for this video! I get the same respect from my kids too- lol. The detail in this video helped me so much- I’m going to try it using my granite countertop. I hope it works the same as your marble. Best wishes.
That’s a good idea! I’d love to know how the granite works out for ya! Thanks for watching! 😊😊
Do you know the recipe for red eye gravy if so please get back with me I just discovered your channel and so far I am loving it
Why thank you Renette! I’m so glad you like it! And I will get back with you on that recipe! 🤗
Thank you because I cannot find anyone that knows how to make red-eye gravy are they homemade old fashioned goulash please show me how cuz I love to have me some
Hey Renette! I’ve talked with a few gravy makers…im in Kentucky you know!..lol
Anyhow…are you wanting the red-eye with water only, or with coffee?
My mom made goulash all the time growing up🥰🥰
That's good where are you at in Kentucky now are you doing good I would really love to get to see you sometimes you turned out to be a beautiful woman I'm proud of you
Hey Renette! 😊 Jog my memory,..lol..cause it’s not that great 😆 Do we know each other?
Btw..I’m close to Ashland Ky 🙂
Yum
Thank you 😊
Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
And Thank YOU Kathy!😊
Thank you! This looks just like my grandmother ‘s white fudge.
Thank you Amy! Sorry I’m just now seeing this...have you made it yet? It’s such a wonderful recipe! But if it’s the same, I’m sure you know how good it is! Yummm! Thank you for watching, and sharing your comment! 💞
Your fudge looks so smooooth and creamy! 😍😍
Why thank you! It really is! 😋🤦🏾♀️
You have the most beautiful skin, and so sweet young lady.👏💐
Awww 🥰 thank you so much Erma! I appreciate you watching! You have a wonderful weekend 🤗
Loved the video and your recipe.
I have a marble slab, lucky me. Now I just have to go to a hardware store for my new utensils ;-)
Yay!! Have you made the fudge yet? Please lmk how it works for ya..Thank you Karin!🤗
Love your voice
Thank you! 😀
Becky this is my granma's fudge recipe except she used canned evaporated milk. I use cream - lol. I am experimenting today and subbing the subar with granulated stevia. I will let you know how that works.
Hi! Thanks for watching! How did the stevia work out for ya? Cream would for sure make it extra rich 😁 I actually use canned milk for
my chocolate, like my grandma always did🥰
I laughed at you scolding your impatient teen 😂❤😊
lol..good thing I have patience for them😂 thank you for watching!!🤗🥰
Ty for your time and wonderful recipes. I was wondering what size is your marble slab please.
Thank you so much! It’s 23” x 29” 😊
@@BeckyIntheKitchen ty very much....im also a nurse, and baking is my passion and my stress reducer lol
@@softballmom332 we have much in common! Great to meet you!🤗 lmk if you have anymore questions…I also have to add eating to stress reducer..lol 😆
@@BeckyIntheKitchen lol nice to meet you and yes we cant forget that..lol well we do have to try it, we wouldn't want to serve anything bad...lol
Love you …point blank… I loose things when I put them away…this year I got one medium tote just for candy and cookie making equipment
Love this recipe…..
Thank you Laura! Would love to know how
it turns out for ya! I probably need to get me one of those totes! 😊
Can I get an old school recipe for chocolate fudge. Keep it up I loved this video my fudge was amazing.
Sure can, I’ve got one on my channel Zaria! It’s the best! Sooo creamy and delicious!
That and that perfect instrument you got from Lowe’s. What was that called again?
Yes! You could probably get one at a cabinet/countertop kitchen store. I love mine!
The tool is just like a spatula you would use for drywall. 😊
Lol, you’re adorable and you sound like Paula Deen. Loves it!
Lol..thanks Dita..that’s Kentucky for ya! Appreciate you!🤗💞
so everyones pans are different, so what temperature should you cool it down to in the pan?
I would allow mine to cool for 55 minutes in the pan..just make sure it’s a good heavy bottom pan..and you should be fine 😊 thank you
I want to let you know that i think you are so for real and a beautiful lady.
I don’t blame them! Once you’ve had the good stuff, nothing compares! …The marble slab makes things sooo much easier…I hope you find one!
@@BeckyIntheKitchen me too.
I tend to follow specific directions well. I learn by watching rather than explaining.
I sincerely appreciate the video.
What is your favorite brand of butter? Was that land o lakes?
I use different ones..I like to buy what’s on sale.. but if I had my pick..it would be land of lakes..I got a bunch from Kroger when was on sale, and put in my freezer 🤗
Get yourself a tripod then you wouldn't need a camera person ps your not alone on that love watching you make gramas fudge ❤
Thanks for watching! I did get me a tripod btw..lol 😄
Can you add peantbutter to coco fudge it's like a serial in the fudge. Or Carmel in fudge how or when do you add these ingerendant?
Lol..thank you for thinking I’m too young!😁 I feel like I’ve heard of them before, I might need to call on google 😂
You keep me hanging on 🎶🎶🎶🎶was listening to it on YT channel Vanilla Fudge 🎉
Popular in the 60’s. My mother has a vinyl record of them along with ABBA. Lol.
I have granite countertops. Could I cool fudge on them, or would I have to cool the fudge in the pot?
Hi Maria! I’m not sure if granite would have the same cooling effect as marble. You also might scratch your countertop when working with the fudge…
@@BeckyIntheKitchen Thank you.
I like evaporated milk. Would that be fine?
You could..but it’s already very rich, also it will change the color of the fudge, it will be a darker color instead of white.
My gram would cut green and red maraschino dried cherries, a bit of coconut in this recipe at Christmas and called it Christmas Fudge!
Thank you! That sounds so pretty! I actually did something a little similar, with pistachios,
dried apricots and dried cherries! This fudge is so versatile! Appreciate you sharing the memory!🤗
Using a pressure cooker bottom is genius!!!
Thank you! So happy I got my grandma’s to use🥰
😂😂😂 “Who am I kidding!? I’m gonna eat the whole piece!”
😂😂😂 your face killed Me…
😂😂The whole piece and another!
If I want to make this run and raisin… at what point do I add the rum/raisin mix?🙏🏽
I would add the rum in place of the extract..then add the raisins before it start to lose its gloss…I have other fudge videos in a playlist where I add things such as nuts, marshmallows…etc…and generally I do that before it begins to lose its gloss. 😊
What is the capacity of the pan you use? I think mine may be smaller than yours and it may boil over.
Hi Kirsten!😃 I believe it’s 8 quarts
Becky your shoulders are poppin in that video!!
🤣🤣
My gosh! All that work. And it’s just a small little block size. 🤦♀️ I would eat that in 5 min. It looks absolutely divine!!
It’s rich, and a little piece is satisfying…however if you’re like me, it’s hard to walk away from just one!🥴lol
I'd like to see you do the cinnamon roll recipe.🤗🌞 new subscriber. Carol
Hi Carol 🤗 I actually have a cinnamon roll video…I’ll put the link below…and thank you so much for the sub! 🥰
