I make a quick microwave fudge which you might like. 1 1/2 c of semi sweet and 1 1/2 c milk chocolate chips, 1/2 stick of butter, 1 can sweetened condensed milk. Microwave for 2 minutes then stir. If not melted do 15 sec increments then stir until melted. Add nuts and vanilla. 9x9 pan Cool and enjoy! God's blessings and Merry Christmas!

Got thinking after posting that you could try adding the marshmallow cream once the chips are melted - would only use semi sweet in that case. Will be trying this out to see if it works. - judy

I've been making the fantasy fudge for 35 years and some of the things I'd learned are once it starts to boil ,stir and boil on medium heat for exactly 5min. and it will be perfect! Also dip the spoon you use to dip the marshmallow cream with into the hot liquid it will be easier to get it out of the jar. I'm like you I try to do it real fast so the hot liquid will quickly melt the chips and marshmallow cream. It always turns out silly smooth. We love that fudge! Love your cooking!

For 40 years my hubby made multiple batches of this each Christmas plus Peanut Butter Fudge as gifts for friends & family They looked for it each year but this year at 83 he feels he can not do it. The list we gave it to has been reduced thru the years as we have lost many but I will do it for the ones still with us. Thanks for the refresher course.

I have made this fudge for years ❣ I have never used a thermometer. I melt the butter cream and sugar when it comes to a boil I time it for 4 to 5 minutes then I take it off the eye and add my chips marshmallow and nuts and vanilla...pour into my pan..yummy!!!!

  • @laceitup1

I've never used a thermometer. I just use a cold dish of water and drop some of the fudge into that and if it forms into a soft ball its cooked enough. I've been using this recipe for years. The best fudge ever! With walnuts!!

Merry Christmas! I had a very close friend who use make this every year. In addition to the chocolate, she would make other batches with other chips instead - peanut butter or butterscotch or mint etc. Sometimes she'd layer it in one pan to cool. I hope you have a wonderful, blessed Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus.

I have made this recipe for years and a few years ago I experimented with different flavored chips and my life at Christmas candy making time, became so much better. I've used pumpkin chips, peanut butter chips, added instant coffee to chocolate chips and all turned out great. Just love to see you make old tried and true recipes. Keep up the great work and prayers and Christian love to you and yours.

I made this fudge a little while ago. It turned out perfect as far as I can tell. It is setting up right now. I put 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans in it. It was getting thick as I was pouring it up so I’m counting this a success. Thank you for this video and all the people who made comments. It was all so helpful❤️🌸😘.

I have a recipe I like. It's 1 pound of powdered sugar, one stick real butter, 1/4 cup cocoa powder. Microwave this for 90 seconds...I do it 45 and stir and then 45 more and stir until it's smooth and creamy. I put vanilla and nuts or peanut butter, whatever you'd like, then dip it into a lined pan and let cool before cutting in squares. It's oh so yummy! Merry Christmas and thank you for the fantastic recipes, gotta try them!

Some tips: I’ve made this fudge all my life and so did my mom. Candy thermometer clips on side and frees your hands. When your dumping ingredients. Mix and melt choc Chips first mixing to melt with wooden or firm spoon or spatula. Then marshmallow cream with metal spoon dipped in cold water. Then vanilla mixed in. Nuts last. Poor in to buttered 9x11 pan ( I use glass)to cool and set. Makes a lot. I’ve tried just boiling for 5 min but sometimes not long enough. Hope this helps.

I made the fantasy fudge for years. It's very good. I started making the microwave fudge a few years ago adding nuts, and I now only make that one. Everyone loves the version and in fact, it's been compared to fudge you buy in the candy store. So, it really is personal preference and what you're used to. Microwave works very well for me and many of my friends and family. Again, personal preference. 😋

Sp I made this a few nights ago and it started to set up while I was pouring it I was like OH NO!!!! I figured what do I have to lose so grabbed some cream from fridge and added prob 1/2 cup it worked!!!! smoothed it out where I could pour it and it truned out soooo good. I'm sure milk would save this too if you over cook like I did. Thanks for this demo next time I will be more careful!

Next time you try the easier fudge, mix about 1/3 milk and 2/3 Semi sweet chips, and add the nuts if that's what you all like. It will be much closer to the fantasy fudge. Not so rich, or dark. Fantasy Fudge all the way ! My now deceased sister use to make the one with the sweetened condensed milk & it was good BUT I think the Fantasy Fudge is so much creamer & that's what I like. I also make peanut butter fudge with the marshmallow creme. It takes 1 cup peanut butter, 2 cups white sugar , 1 cup light brown sugar , the rest of the recipe is the same as for the choc. You should try it if you have peanut butter lovers in your family. Oh & putting in 1 cup of unsalted chopped peanuts takes it over the top.

So basically the same ingredients, just cooked a little differently. I'm going to try the fantasy fudge to see which one I like better (or if I can even tell the difference)

I have made this fudge for a lot of years. My mom made it , and taught me. We used the bottom of her old pressure cooker.

I have always made Fantasy Fudge in the microwave. Turns out great and is a bit easier.

Jet puff marshmallow cream first made fantasy fudge with only 1 1/2 cups of sugar. I Only make this version and have had NO complaints.

I think on the 3 ingredient fudge if you use milk chocolate chips it wouldn’t be so dark and so chocolaty …. I always prefer the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate 🍫 and of course adding walnuts is a must 😋

This is our family's go to fudge recipe too. I've never used a candy thermometer though. I just cook it for as long as the recipe says. Fabulous! Happy Christmas! 🎄

I've been making Fantasy Fudge for over 40 years. I've never used a candy thermometer either. Just cook for 5 minutes. Never fails. It's good stuff!💕

My husband told me yesterday he wanted me to make fudge! I’ve NEVER made fudge!😳. I’m 63 and never made fudge. This video of yours popped up today. So guess what? I’m going to try to make the fantasy fudge:). We’ll see!!

I grew up with the Fantasy fudge recipe as that’s the only fudge I ever had as a kid and I continue to make it myself.
