I’m sorry for being super late to this whole series but I’m just gonna say imo, a majority of songs sound much better in 8DX, every single Tour song especially. As for the retros, a majority sound better in 8DX, mainly because imo live instruments sound better than midi instruments. Overall the BCP had a godly soundtrack. What was your overall opinion?
I’ve been super happy with the entire passes music. The Mario kart 8 band does such a great job capturing the original while also giving new life into the songs!

Piranha Plant Cove sounds almost identical to it’s Tour’s remix which means they didn’t need to change that much as it’s already perfect the way it is.
@@SuperJGGaming For songs that were perfect sounding unrealistic like DK Moutain, the real instruments make it sound terrible, it’s not cartoony and I don’t feel the same, and Rainbow Roads orchestral music was ruined by adding realistic synth, The orchestral hits in SNES Bowser Castle 3 aren’t as impactful and loud you can barely hear them, Madrid drives music got super annoying and the guitar sounds nasty in that one, Rome sounds fine, Daisy circuit sounds weird, I liked the unrealistic piano in the Wii version and they just made it too realistic it sounds bad, Rosalina’s ice world doesn’t have those low notes that we all heard in the original and it has synth drums for no reason, like why? Tell me why synth drums…
Just gonna say, they did NOT need to go that hard with Wii Rainbow Road Can't wait for the final wave to release so we can get the full versions of the other songs

Wow does BC3 sound great, it’s awesome to hear such an amazing official remix to Mario World’s final boss theme. The other highlights are definitely the Wii tracks. As oversaturated as they became in the BCP, Wii was my first ever video game, so I absolutely am not complaining, and seeing and hearing how far they’ve come just feels great.
@@hahahamamamama2535that’s the place in Pokémon scarlet and violet that I was talking about didn’t know the name of the song tho gotta say that I’m not a fan of the modern Pokémon songs or the games tho sucks that scarlet and violet has a lot of glitches even with the teal mask dlc tho prolly cuz there’s more than 175 workers in the industry at the moment.

No it won't. The reason it was in Tour is because it was scaled up and if they made it 2 laps then there would be too many combos made and it'd be too easy to get points and get top rank, especially for the hardcore players.
Daisy circuit is really nice, not sure about rainbow road though, I think I prefer the Wii version. SNES bc3 is a huge upgrade, never really liked dk mountain and still don’t like it that much. Both tour tracks sound a lot better, especially madrid. Rosalina’s ice world is an improvement on the 3ds, I think it achieves what the original was going for but couldn’t do on limited 3ds hardware.

I like all the new OST better except Daisy's circuit, like as a song to hear while doing homework or something like that it is good, but for the mario kart context I think it is too calmed, which the original was too but had something "fun" to it with the background instruments. Man, now I can't defend that track at all, the best thing it had (In my opinion) is gone and stole toad factory's spot
When I watched the wave 6 trailer, I was so upset that they put wii rainbow road in instead of double dash rainbow road. Why, Nintendo? Double dash was way better than the wii. On the bright side, they did not add any of the vanilla lake tracks. Those were hard.
