after listening/looking/enjoying the Jet 400 youtube posts I have purchased the Jet 400 and am looking to upgrade mine with Vanson locking tuners, Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 9-46 strings, and Tonerider Alnico 2 HSS Set of pickups. Should I attempt upgrade myself OR find a luthier near me? How much should I expect to pay someone to do the work? Thanks in advance!
i think take one tuners off and see how close a fit the new ones are- might be straight forward. Maybe search out each task separately and see how you confident you are doing that modification. Alternatively, have you got a friend who is experience in these kind of mods? Depends who you ask as to how much it will cost. Never pay anyone to change your strings for you- that is a job every guitarist should have in their skill set
