For perhaps hundreds of years, people always said the current generation of young people has it the easiest. But now, I would say that it must really suck to be in your teens or twenties in the West nowadays. Mental illness is rampant, social media has poisoned their minds, school environments are in decay, future career options seem bleak and its incredibly expensive to buy a house or raise a family and younger women act like aggressive men.

After living in Thailand for 19 years, ( 4 years in a small Isaan town) I have come to a conclusion that many Thais are not true Buddhists- it’s just a ritual of making “good merit” at the community temple. No sermons / reminders from the monks how to strive for a good moral character or handle social issues ( excessive drinking, wife abuse, drug addiction, responsibility of raising children, unwanted pregnancy…) The monks only want money for their vanity wat projects. Many Thais look at the Buddhist rituals for gaining good luck. No value system is introduced to the temple’s congregation.

They developed a relationship, then he returned to Australia knowing he would go back to make a go of it. He was sending her dollars every month, only for her to ask for more and more. 😮 He went there thinking he would meet a nice petite family oriented woman, but turned out to be a money grabbing super bitch!!! 😢

A family member of my bf married a Thai woman years ago who already had a son from an ex. He brought her and the kid back to our country, had 3 more babies with her, and then he suffered a severe stroke, leaving him wheelchair bound and unable to work. The second that happened she was gone...
Surprisingly enough, the one who stayed to look after him, was her kid from her previous relationship. He literally said "he took me in and provided for me, even though i'm not biologically his and he had no obligation to do so. Because of him I have a better life, so now that he needs help, I'll be there for him."

In some cultures or communities, marrying a Thai woman may be seen as taboo because of stereotypes or misconceptions about Thai women being submissive, exotic, or seeking a foreign partner solely for financial gain. Additionally, there may be concerns about cultural differences, language barriers, or issues with assimilation into the family or community.

Many of the men in this channel, Older men looking for young meat, fooling themself, AND probably looser wherever they go, looking in the wrong places (Tourist and and bar areas.) This men are loosers wherever they are.... sorry... but that is a much more true then the opinion on this channel. Thailand is full of serios hardworking womens, single and nice.... But you will never find them in the bars or tourist places. ..... They do not even wan't to be seen in those places.

This is one of the best youtube channels I watch. I was so happy to see you did a video. Keep on going Dan. I wish you all the best. By the way, I married a Japanese woman. I don't know if my wife is typical of Japanese women, but one thing I can definitely say about her, is that she really cares about our daughter (not so much me!) and she does her duties ... which in turn makes me respect her. It's also pretty calm in our household with almost no arguments. And I have to admit that getting red pilled and behaving in a manner that goes totally against my conditioning is ironically improving our interactions. Marriage though is so difficult. I hope that I never get married again. If young men only knew how difficult marriage is (and I think because of the internet they are learning) then I can easily see men refusing to marry and only having superficial hook up relationships with women. And I just wanted to add, when you talk about those Issan women, it really makes me laugh. I get this Benny Hill image in my head of all these Issan women chasing you down the street because of what you've said about them.

But after those few bumps in the road, it has been clear sailing. Could not imagine her not being in my life. We are older (I am 62 she is 45) so maybe that has something to do with it. I know you love your son and want to be in his life.... but from what I am hearing your only option is to walk away before it is too late, at least then you can still financially support him, which you can't do if you are in a Thai jail or dead.
I am not being dramatic as many will think, I am making this statement as I can hear every word you say being exactly what I was saying 6 years ago.
I had to walk away, after I nearly did get locked up for false allegations..... nobody wanted to hear my side of the story, so I was very close to being locked up in a Philippine jail.
In fact, nobody in authority even asked for my story...they just took what she said and then acted as Judge, Jury and Executioner.

My half Thai daughter is clearly Narcissistic, her first bf dumped her because of her non stop demanding behaviour so she went to Australian police and pursued a charge of rape. The poor lad had just turned 18, he came from a great family and just got accepted into uni and is working on a double degree. The impact my daughters narcissism and jealousy could have caused that young man would have been catastrophic. The appalling thing was that my wife went and supported her the whole way, fortunately the South Australian Police were wise enough to call her shit. I don't talk to my eldest daughter any more, I have been married for over 20 years. I have a younger daughter who is borderline Autistic and a great kid but she copps a lot of abuse from her eldest. I want to leave and despite my wife constantly threatening to leave me, she wiggz out if I go pack my bags and try to do a runner. I'm losing it.

@skipper1350 you did the right thing by typing about it here. When we’re losing it, it’s proper & responsible to let that be known- I mean let it be known using words. Don’t let a surprise burst of temper or-god-forbid-a psychotic break be the thing that finally communicates to others how you’ve been feeling. There DO exist situations involving Cluster B personality disorders wherein you’ve gotta straight-up leave & go zero contact. Without further knowledge about your wife, I’m gonna advise you based solely on your post: You. are. allowed. to. leave. If the genders were switched, the overwhelming majority of people would say: “You don’t gotta stay in a dis-satisfactory relationship.” Western society has no problem whatsoever with a woman leaving a relationship. If she’s simply “not into it” anymore, that’s reason enough. She most likely would not be chastised, and she might even acquire a small cheering squad: “you’re so strong and brave to strike out on your own !!” “Independent women are role-modes for young girls !! “100 years ago, women couldn’t vote: nowadays we have autonomy !!” We men have a different situation: “abandon your WIFE ?!?! How COULD you ?!?! PLUS, we men take our promises seriously. And keeping your relationship together through tough times: most men would feel honour-bound to do that. Man or woman, you’re a human being. I HIGHLY recommend taking a 3 - 5 month journey far, far,, away. Rent an inexpensive apartment suitable for just one person. You need time to think and rest uninterrupted. Make good choices about whichever place you choose to go, make sure that currency conversion & the local economy make life as easy as possible. I suggest a 4- month trip because if you’re uncertain about if you should end your relationship with your wife, you could call this a “trial separation.” If you were to truthfully tell your wife “I’m deeply unhappy and upset and if I don’t go away and get some peace, I’m concerned I could go postal.” You can w tell her it’s a paramount health issue {because this is} and four months away is the required treatment. If your wife cannot leave you be for four months, if she doesn’t care that you’re “losing it,” and that you need to help yourself become ok, that REALLY sucks. If that’s how it is with her, then forget about a “trial separation,” you definitely need a divorce. But then you’re totally free to travel anywhere and to do anything-

most of my friends are asian females and im dating a thai girl now so i get to see the other side of this story. i see things thing often from the falang and i have to say, what you are saying in this video is completely stereotyping and hoggwash. its like, even if you were in a western country, you never marry someone you meet in the club, or in some dodgy area. its like, are you dumb. if you wont do it back home, why do you think its any different here in thailand. a relatonship takes alot of compromise, support and understanding from eachother, no matter where you find your loved one and you really think you will meet this princess in the bar, club or the street doing something sketchy. i get that the falang couldnt make things work back home and they have a higher sense of desire form women over here but the same rules apply here too. dont be an idiot. the women are cuter and they might be abit more interested in your but the same rules apply. im sorry dan but i dont agree with your video, you really stereotyping women of thailand and not really talking about how the falang have dumb expectations and its their delusional mindset that sets them up in this situation.

Dan. Get your kid and go to England. Why the fk stay at such a place? Go meet a woman you can relate with and have a conversation. These Thai and SE Asian women are difficult to converse with. They’re like 5 year olds.
If you can get a passport for him and take him, he will have a better chance. Unless you go somewhere else such as migrating to NZ, Australia, Canada or the USA (since you can speak English).
Unfortunately since Brexit you cannot move to continental Europe with ease.
I noticed in one of your thumbnails a while ago with your ex in the photo. I noticed her look. A look of disdain and unhappiness. I felt sorry for you and had the feeling this relationship was not right.

Came to Thailand in April 1966, when I was in the military and 19 years old. Met and married a wonderful 19 year old Thai girl when I was 25. We had 5 children, all graduated university. 3 live in Florida an 2 are in Thailand. My wife and I are still together, still in Thailand. I am now 76 and she is 70. It's been a wonderful life with not a single regret. You are correct though, these times are not anywhere near it was when I arrived. In all those years I never heard her say one bad word about anyone. If we were in a group and they started talking about someone she simply gets up and walks away. I realize how lucky I am having come to Thailand when it really was The Land of Smikes and kindness.

You've been through some truly awful things and you've despaired of ever having love & security in your life but I've got you now-I won't give upon you & I won't let you down. I will make your life better. I will love your daughter as my own. Eventually your insecurities will fade away & then you will start to blossom & become the person you were always capable of being'
Wishful thinking on my part. Crazy is who she genuinely is, her real, authentic self. I dread to imagine what creatures are scuttling about in the dark recesses of her psyche. She doesn't want to change.
I couldn't lift her up. She pulled me down instead & she exploded our family in the process.
It has been the famous unstoppable slow-motion train wreck. Please don't make my mistake. You can't reason with crazy & you can't entice her out of her craziness with your love. Now I've learned my lesson. I'll never take a rescue dog.

Falling for the first one you come across that shows any interest in you then compounding it with children is just to silly for words. You need to spend quite a bit of time there and with a few partners before you even entertain the idea of pairing up with any of them. I can't even feel sorry for those guys as it's totally on them for being that stupid. If you do shake up with a Thai having only been there a short while especially if she has a bar background the first sign of any of this shite you need to grow some balls move her on. There is always another one just around the corner. You mention in your case money helps fix things, I'm betting it's money that starts all these problems men have with Thai women in the first place though one form or another.

I had to call the police twice, as she started to run after to me with a big kitchen knife and later again, when she started to smash my furniture, doors, you name it. She was, what many call a good girl in TH, as she was a government teacher. Love blindfolded me in the beginning that hard, that I didn't see all the big red flaggs, e.g. she didn't have any close friends in TH, was just complaining heavily about the other teaches in her school in TH. Even the relationship with her siblings where problematic. All my friends told me instantly after seeing her the 1st time: stop it. It took me nearly a year to recover, but now I am a happy camper, again. 🙂

Dan, I don’t have a lot of time right now to get further into it, but I am a licensed mental health professional and you are a little mistaken in your labeling of disorders. What you are calling “Bi-Polar” is really an Impulse Control Disorder. Bi-Polar Disorder happens over the course of months, not days or hours. There are different kinds of Bi-Polar Disorder as well. Even the Bi-Polar Disorder with the most rapid manic-depressive symptoms (cyclothymic disorder) takes weeks for it to cycle through.
Also, Google Borderline Personality Disorder. It is more in line with what you are describing than Narcissistic Personality Disorder. (Although we can’t rule out Narcissism.)

Hi Dan. I live in Chiangmai 6 years. This was a good episode thanks. I have to ask you, cuz you spoke of it in this video: After 2 years of experiencing your ex's bipolar personality, why on earth did you CHOOSE to make a baby with her?? How did you rationalize that decision to exponentially complicate your life, while also giving your child a severely unbalanced mother for years to come. There is no possibility of your son NOT being emotionally and or psychologically affected in some degree in his adolescent development and into adulthood. Hopefully there will be a period of COMPETENT therapy in his not so distant future. Dan you don't appear to be an idiot. You present yourself well and insightful. you have spoken many times (and honestly) of your "less than ideal" childhood family life. Is it possible that you unconsciously passed on or replicated your childhood trauma to your son? You had the chance to break the cycle but your decision to make a baby with a woman that you knew was severely unstable, continued your family legacy. I'm sure that was the LAST thing that you wanted to do Dan, but that is literally exactly what you did. I wish your son a beautiful and healthy childhood and life, and I hope he makes the choice that you couldn't, and he breaks the cycle of trauma of your lineage. Keep up the good work of this channel Dan. And I mean no disrespect to you at all.

Like others have said Dan it’s not just Thai women. I was married for 25 years when my ex wife started behaving that way. It was a bad situation as we had 7 kids together, it was terrifying to me on behalf of the kids. After a few years I moved out and supported my kids every week for 2 or 3 days / evenings. This was extremely difficult at first but it was the best thing I ever did. Just to re echo your points so not stay with anyone who treats you this way. I wish I’d left sooner but fear for the kids kept me there several years longer than I should have. I could say I I could do it under those circumstances then it shows it’s not only possible but essential for your mental health.

Dan! You're videos are blessed! You are a great guy!
I have had some relationships with thai-girls the last years and you are really on the right track.
One thing I would like to say as a medical doctor in psychiatry is that Bipolar is not so common!
BUT they are narcissists and have per definition emotional instability disorder!!
They learn very fast to hook foreigners with manipulatory behavior!
And money is very important. The jealousy is in my experience based on that they do not want mine or yours money spent on somebody else!!
There family relationship is as well toxic.
How could a healthy mother send her daughter to Pattaya for getting money for the family?
The mother could work as well I think. But no,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I can relate to you so much. I spent four years in the Philippines with a girl I loved but unfortunately we couldn't get along. I still have a scar on my hand from her biting me! I had to use my coffee mug to get her off me. Luckily, we didn't have kids. Now, back in the UK I find myself in my 40's with a delightful daughter aged 7 and going through a separation with her Lithuanian Mother who is another psycho. I think I get with women who are able to converse with me rather than just agree with everything I say but they end up trying to control me whereas i'm a free spirit and can't be told what to do! Anyway, she has ruined my mental health by starting nasty arguments and threatening to take our child back to Lithuania which used to upset me so much. Because she was working, I was with the child every day since she was born and after school etc. I had my own income stream and never had a penny from her and our house was 90% mine but everybody assumed I was leaching off her.
I lost most of my family years ago and only have my Mother and daughter who really care about me and for some reason this ex of mine has done her best to convince them that i'm the problem when I swear she is the trouble maker as I like peace and quiet and hate arguments. She is probably a psychopath I believe. Put up a few hidden cameras to catch her out. Always remain composed. Best of luck with your child.

Im not so sure about the first part, that this issue mostly affects women looking for foreigners.
I was living in Bkk for nearly 10 years and know really a lot of normal Thais, because as you you, im interested in Thailand and the people, the language etc etc. I think besides the friends from Germany who visited me and some co workers i have 0 other contact to foreigners.
And really many of those normal Thais have also metal issues. Especially the hi so (sorry to say that, its just my experience). And the youth, no matter what so.
But thats Bangkok, i can imagine that its a bit different outside. In Bangkok it seems mental illness is really wide spread....
Bipolar, jup. Its so crazy. Ive met a few one of those. And had one relationship with one. It was a nightmare. She was such a nice women, honestly. No bargirl or something. But the jealousy in her phases was just too much after a while.

Maybe BEWARE of the younger. The over 45 year old Thai appear as you say indirectly an older generation. Dan things could get a lot worse for you if you stick around. What’s your ex going to do when you get a new girlfriend.
That’s right she’s going to stop you seeing your son & maybe start a lot of trouble.
So get out of there asap Come home set up a new business & move to a nice part of the uk.
you won’t have much say in your son’s upbringing when your ex gets a new man anyway. Unless you’re prepared to spend a lot of money in & out of courts.

Very similar to my experience. They are very troubled and it's hard not to feel a great deal of sympathy for their situation.
A lot of these girls are put under great pressure to provide for their families. In the west it's quite the reverse situation. Older generations look after younger generations. The women are often the only source of income for an extended family so they have very little to no chance of breaking out of the poverty cycle.
How much this has contributed to their mental health I am not sure but it certainly wouldn't help.
My advice. Do your best to never get involved with a Thai lady in the first place.
