Wait some relatives actually abused me like not criticizing coz my kid spoke English in the village.. guess wat my son is 3years and had gotten speaking issues because of use of different languages and so I decided to use English for him to speak at least .. naye mwe these women 😭 told me how permissive I am🥺
Someone criticized me over something petty in front of my mom. All that while, i grew up knowing I'm mom's least favorite kid. I thought she didnt like me. But mom plain told the criticizer,"my child is so perfect. Her flaws add to her perfection and uniqueness. I love her that way." I cried . Never knew momma would stand up for me. Our parents love us even with all our flaws! Dont criticize anyone"s parenting koz they are doing their best. some wounds never heal so package your info and deliver it well without criticism
Thanks ladies for Bump Love. Very insightful. We, the men, also watch but from Kamoli and we have learnt good perspectives of the 'other gender'. Keep it up
I have been trying ko Manuela’s ‘discipline by consequence’ style. And it has not failed me whenever i apply it but some how people take you to be harsh. But i have always proved it resultful in many instances. Thank you Manuel. I now know I have back up😂
Oh this was touching,I liked it,I was awarded a scholarship and I am away but I am being blamed for leaving my girls with their father one is 5year and the other one is making 2years , the girls are healthy and looking good but the way MSG's come in like a flood ,it was beginning to stress me and thinking how am too selfish but when I shared with my husband he told me to tell them that if the are concerned they go take care of them , he even told to broke some because they are enemies of progress ,I think the intention of some one tell you should be measured well aba using which units .
Take it from a mom who left her 3yr old son with the dad too to go away and study for a year - Happy Mom = Happy kids. It might not seem like it right now,, but you have made the best decision for both you and your family. Keep going. P
Pumla, is soooo hilarious yet real &.. I like that about her. I agree with that statement of criticism. When your confident in who you are words don't trigger you!. I like all your different personalites. I feel i have a bit of each of your personalities and mindsets . Manuela come through with that perfectionism, girl i do the same, am loving but shrewd too. Angie her maturity and calmness, creativity are also traits i relate with. Rosette.. her fashion sense and bubbly character ... Rachel .. her humility and being down to earth. .. Perfect blend. Well done Ladies. We see you ,we appreciate you.
I gave birth to a big baby ( 5kgs) . And by 1year he was like 15kgs and very tall but he wasnt walking . The way everyone was saying i feed my child alot, but there was this specific lady who went extra ...." your child is obese,he will never walk, hes limbs are bold,he has rickets etc....guys i nearly slapped the woman....meanwhile he was always sickly ...stressed about hes health now the weight and not walking.....i ran mad. Went to Nsambya but the doctor said my doctor is very fine but the womans voice kept ringing in my head insisted on breaking my babys legs ....made an appointment but a week to the appointment he made steps since then i will never take any neg critism. Hes very fine now but eeh i nearly ran mad
Oh dear! The opinions can be overwhelming. I'm glad baby begun to walk eventually. It goes to say that we shouldn't give importance to what people think.
i can relate my story to yours but for me the criticism came from the father. that hurts right. I have learnt to pay less attention to his criticism sometimes.
I am just proud of how am raising my kids. The rest don't need to tell me how to do it. My kids aren't anyone's kids so I can't raise them the they raise theirs! Wamma thx Pumla, ako kabamale
Rachel Micah weight has nothing to do with his immunity like you said. My daughter is an excellent eater and takes vitamins and still struggles with low Immunity. It’s something she is outgrowing slowly. This was a great conversation. As much as it’s good to be open and humble we also have to guard out hearts because not everything that been shared with us is for us.
So I and husband are rewarding parents naye looks like we need to change tactics it honestly just breeds self entitled kids.... Heneway this year Mrs Mulondo am saving and saving..... I love love you ladies... So much to learn
Well said ladies.its amazing that with my girlfriends who are all parents we were talking about parenting yesterday and how to communicate issues to parents in case you find an issue with their child.I bet it's the mode of delivery that spoils even a necessary criticism.
Good start for the year. Well done ladies. I believe with maturity I have learnt to calm down whenever I hear such, thank God otherwise in my 20z, oh boy I would come for you. We were patented differently and from different backgrounds, definitely we can't be the same however, we need to be kind to ourselves whenever judged. I can only be the best mother to my children regardless and vice versa.
Thanks ladies for sharinrg ur amazing experiences with criticism I personally have experienced criticism with my daughter there were some I could handle, and others I couldn't expect so I had to pick whats best for me as I'm the parent, so .
Changed my maid and I heard neighbors say akana kavudenu that moment I realized my son was doing badly I intentionally improved his diet but the criticism was eye opening
Thank you so much ladies. I decided to choose peace in a way that I receive the criticism but do me because just like Emmanuel these people critisise because we are not doing things the way they do it
Mine is about smartphones mbu era "esimu zobona abaana" but when I give him my own they say nothing but when I bought him his own they took it away! Banange olemwa! 🤦♀
First off, You look so cute in that dress @ Racheal. I kept looking at how well it suits you. Now, I don't have kids but I grew up hearing people criticise my parents over one of my siblings. He is an addict, they did their best but failed. They deal with the pain of failure as parents everyday and keep wondering about how differently they should have parented. Now, the people who love to run their mouths like to tell them to their face about what they should have done and all. It's so annoying and I feel so bad for my parents bcoz I know their sacrifices and lengths they've gone to in order to help their child. The ladies are right, let's learn to package our criticisms well if we really have to utter them out at all. Or when the parents struggles with their child are glaring, let's just shut up. They are fully aware of the problem and unless they ask, let's not push our unsolicited advice.
It's good to take criticism even from childless people since we've all been children. Manuela with the natural consequences I'm sure you are aware but just for other viewers, parents should have a ka limit so they don't end up abusing their kids in the name of discipline. I think angie has touched on a good point which is if you're offering criticism add some solutions and support too
someone criticised over not feeding my 7 year child well all cos of her small size....and i was like wtf!!..yet she eats normally....then anther told me how my child has lugezigezi yet to me i take it as high self esteem and i like it when she speaks her mind, when she asks those questions cos shes at a stage where inquistiveness is so high
ooh..just yesterday i was criticised by some folks about letting my son have my fone! that it means i did not train him well and that it is bad manners... trully i was offended coz the circumstances are different! and besides i do what i can to keep him at bay as his mom..having alittle previledge with my fone isnt something i envisioned as bad at his age (6) especially because he watches cartoons with it and i dont have bad content to hide in my fone...i was abit defensive but when i slept on the thought! i realised that at a certain age i will have to restrain him to avoid any curiosity... i will start to keep it away slowly and slowly but its something i had not thought of as a bad thing. besides he studies well, does his homework and holiday package and the cartoons teach him good english!!... jesus..this parenting journey teaches us new things daily!
That phone thing banange. People don't know that screen time can be regulated. Both regarding time and content. And if as a parent you can do that, let Noone steer you off. P
This was a good episode, great start of the year. Thank you ladies My parenting style has been criticized before& the criticism had a toll on me. But my key take from the discussions...self awareness will ease sieving criticism.
Thanks ladies Our aunt always told my mum not to allow us wear trousers with an excuse that we look good in dresses 😂😂😂 UpTo now she complains when we visit that she doesn't see us in dresses
My mom was always like Manuela she rarely beat us, but she would always give us natural consequences just like that. And I am surely going to practice it with mine because it worked we always knew what to expect.
Am very self aware as a person and so when someone gives me a feedback i receive it and sort it out,if they is need to do better then i do exactly that.
Just yesterday I had the breath in and out moment🙃🙂. My uncle telling me how my 3 month old is small because I don't feed her well oooohhh I pretended I was not listening and he went on for some more time, I burst 🤣😂🤣, I swear I was done it is the same thing he says like almost every time he sees us. Thanks so much bump love.Ladies, u really take us to another level. Thanks for sharing such knowledge. And please pumla...where do you plait your hair from. I surely need that very hair style pleaseee
oh it happened to me, my son threw tantrums in someone's car over not being allowed to sit close to the window, The driver kept tormenting me about not disciplining my 2-year-old, mbu we over pamper kids bla bla bla...my throat almost burst out thank God I didn't throw it back to him.

Yooo....this has come out at exact time my own mother is criticizing me on how I brought up my daughter...of omukuziza ekyejo cz we talk to our children instead of shouting to a child when they have done something...and a lot more...she has resorted to shouting and backing at her when she's looking for me 🙄🙄

Bambi, I felt very attacked in all ways including knowledge of my profession...
My dota has been somehow slow in every step, so pipo can be like ooh u carry her too much ,en her being small moreover I give her tym in feeding her en they can be like the way u feed her eeee

Very many times people have always criticized for how I parent my child but cheeeiiii heeeeeee! I give u what u deserve if it ain't positive, then go to hell. So,someone comes and complains about how a child walks!! Some people can be very funny.
