    New Bucket stereo and window padding upgrades are sweet. Yeah, too bad the stereo shop guys drilled so many unnecessary holes in The Bucket.

  • @GrandCaravanSE
    @GrandCaravanSE 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’m glad I’m not the only one who wants a stereo in there car. I use mine as a daily, but the interior is stripped and I Rallycross it. It really makes the car feel nice when you can Bluetooth music, or even make a call. I agree with you about the mom and pop shops, but that would piss me off as well, its like some people don’t think about what they are doing.

    Damn, why did I never think about the bag trick!
    Also, WTF were they thinking screwing the bass KNOB? Just use 3M double sided tape and let the owner ruin their interior...

    • @BuckyLasekOfficial
      @BuckyLasekOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Antti Brax That’s exactly what I did, right between seat and stock handbrake.💪🏼

    • @khanikun2587
      @khanikun2587 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If stock seats, you can just toss it in-between the seat, right near the seat belt buckle. Like a little pocket that's the perfect size for a bass knob thing. I did that for a while, until I got racing buckets. Now, massive gap between the seat and center console. So, I bought a magnetic phone mount. 3M tape that to the center console, 3M tape a metal plate to the knob. Leave a little slack in the wiring, so I can easily grab the thing and look at it, without looking down too far.
      I've contemplated ripping it out of the plastic and seeing if I can mount it into one of the button blanks, where the fog light switch is.

It's nice not having to worry that the mod you just did will ruin the car or break it in some serious way, plus it's so satisfying being able to see the work you've done and appreciate it rather than hiding it under the hood

    Hey thanks for the tip on Flatirontuning.com for the felt window guides.
    I've got a 99 Impreza 2 door that I just can't get myself sell from college. I've had it for about 10 years and my windows are smurfed up.
    You're not lying about messing with the internals on these. I had to replace my driver side window regulator and assembly a year ago, still doesn't go up like it did before and I think its because the felt guides are messed up.
    Anyways... Thank you for all work you've done documenting this build. Really inspiring for me to keep saving and build mine up one day.

    Loving these videos, just discovered them today and have binged the whole thing. Currently building up a 97 Impreza so it's super inspiring to see such a clean build on a similar car!

    Was I the only one stressed when the guy sat on the seat bolster? 🤯 Oh, my 2019 STI gets scratches from dirt in the felt too... Love the videos!

    You’re the man Buck. If I can give some feedback, it would look a little more authentic if you had somehow found a way to roll the plastic around the speaker inward so the speaker looked sunken into the door panel instead of it looking like an overlay.

    Wow never realized how easy those felt guides are to replace, guess I'll order some 😂
    Love the longer, more frequent vids and detailed explanations 🤘 sorry to see someone take your car that's clearly been modified cleanly and with much thought, just to blindly drill holes and throw stuff in random spots. Keep the vids coming! 🤙

      Martin Kovacik Tough one to swallow still, lots of work to fix his shit work when you figure the time I spent to cut out console for hand brake.
