What I remember about the rise of the empire is, is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the clone war, the 501st was discreetly transferred back to coruscant. It was a silent trip, we all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts, any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to coruscant, not when order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi temple. Not a word...

Revenge of the sith will always be my fav of all the star wars films, not least because it has such beautiful and haunting soundtracks but just because of it's gripping, dark, dramatic and emotionally powerful performance, portrayals and bewildering combat. Love this film, the best in my opinion 👍
Anakin. Killing his wife out of sheer arrogance. He lost his brother, his Life, his dreams, all because of a nightmare that haunted him for days. Imagine if Anakin heard this while in his dreams when she was dying of childbirth. I don’t know what would happen. Anakin lost everything, his mind, his consciousness and most importantly, his heart.

501st journal, my own version that fits with new canon. What I remember about that night, is how little made sense, during the waining hours of the clone war, several units of the 501st were discreetly transferred to coruscant, no one knew why it happened and we had questions, many of us were taking part in important battles all over the outer rim and it was soon revealed that we were receiving new orders from the chancellor. When we arrived we were lined up in front of the Jedi temple in parade formation, general Skywalker stood up front, we had no idea what was happening, then a voice, familiar yet strange to us could be heard over the comms "execute order 66". After that my memory goes spotty, or at least it was for many years, as I've grown more of the memories of that night have come back to me. We marched forward up the steps, no one said a thing even the cutups of the unit were silent, the doors to the temple were blown open and we went in, not one of us was able to refuse, even though inside many of us were screaming for this to stop

this is 1000% based off of the seduction of the ring theme. The lord of the rings trilogy finished before ROTS came out so it makes sense. I'm not complaining cuz I love both this and seduction of the ring.
