Hi Sam, I checked out Apocalypse 17:8 in my Latin Vulgate Translation, and this is what I found : The beast, which thou sawest, was, and is not, and shall come up out of the bottomless pit, and go into destruction: and the inhabitants of the earth (whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder, seeing the beast that was, and is not. Why in brackets? Dose this mean it was inserted by translators? Love your blogs, God bless.
Eve placed her desire above God's will and wishes for us. Even before Eve committed the act of sin of eating from the tree of life, the sin of desire, and coveting, took hold of her, and she gave in to it.
So, to blot out means to remove and since the book of life is outside of time, to remove a name removes them from from the beginning. So, blotting out means that the name is being removed from the beginning, which is why it says it the way it does, which is only possible when you exist outside of time. I believe this is a half truth. It has good foundation in good meat and it is of the good tree, but it is not all of the tree of this conversation.
