- Welcome back everyone. Hopefully every is enjoying their printers and eager to put some of the techniques acquired, into practice. We will be combining, cutting, disassembling, mesh boolean union, difference, resizing and more.
We will take some basic shapes and convert them into a useable item. We will also pull models from other sources to incorporate them into the project.

Another great, to-the-point, and informative video!
Thank you very much. I was worried this one was running a little long and tried to condense some parts.
I think the length is fine- there is a constant advancement to the goal without a delay…
Thank you for this tutorial! You made it seem easy.
You are awesome! Thank you very much for the kind words and I truly hope my rambling isnt too distracting. lol
Nice video and a lot of fun to do! I think I have a handle on the Boolean operations now after watching this a few times. I’m trying a similar box for my daughter’s birthday tomorrow. I printed out 48 little cookies to put in the box, one for each birthday! 🎉
That is awesome. Homemade and created gifts mean so much more. I hope she loves it. 😁 Thank you for finding value on this video.
Love your educative videos and presentation style.
Thank you! 😁
Fantastic, Thank You. You have given me new tools I never would have found on my own. So many ideas are going through my mind now. 😀 It's time to have some fun
Thank you. I am just enjoying experimenting and testing the tools available. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Great tutorial Ashley!!! Lots of useful tips as usual!!
Thank you very much for the support and kind words.
You certainly don't ever disappoint us with your content. I was having trouble. I wanted to print lettering on the textured build plate and the slicer didn't recognize the lettering. Now I understand why because the assembly wasn't arranged correctly. Thank you, I will go back and try again.
Thank you. That "order of operations" stumped me in 2023 as folks were saying their text/logs were disappearing after a slice. I didnt catch it fully until it happened to me. I hope that helps your project.
Wonderful. now let's see if my solo run goes so smoothly. thank you for making this how-to,
Thank you. I hope this one didnt run too long as I wanted to show steps from beginning to end. Good luck on the solo run.
🤘BITCHIN🤘 Another block-buster! This is what most people need to know to do some very basic CAD work without the complexity of a powerful CAD software.
Thank you. I know it isnt full fledged CAD but sometimes you just need to get to a solution without a lot of fuss.
Great tutorial my friend!
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Once again, you have managed to take the approach and my thinking to another level to tackle new projects.
Crazy what you get out of the Bambo slicer!
Thank you for that!
Thank you very much! 😁
This series of BB slicer "how to's" is amazing. I have watched each one, learned a ton, always go back to to relearn/reinforce methods and get ideas.
Thank you very much, I am happy that I have become a resource. 😁
Very good video love the introduction. Keep up the good work my dude👌
Thank you. Going to keep pressing forward!
I really appreciate and enjoy your videos. Thank you! Always looking forward to the next one!
Thank you. This positive feedback is a great motivator.
SUPER as always. U have opened my eyes to so many 3D printing options for the Bambu Labs without using CAD software. THANKS David.
Thank you very much. I hope some of these helps for those getting started or just want a simpler way of completing a project.
I got a good chuckle at the metal screw bit, very relatable.
LOL, Such an 🤦 moment.
Another great video. Just started using the Maker Lab. I must have missed a part of the video. It looks like you have an inside, lip on your star container .
Thank you very much. Yes this lid has a form fitting inner lip but there is a proper alignment as the star has a "north". I didnt mark it properly so 4 of he orientations are incorrect and 1 is correct and flush.
Good catch,. 😁
Man you really are the best content creator on bambu / orcaslicer! Any chance you could share the 3mf of the collection of icons you made? 😊
I truly do appreciate that positive comment. I will try to upload that 3mf file to makerworld once I completely it.(hopefully it is not against bambu lab rules) I'll leave a message here and potentially a community post later.
Can you recommend slicer settings to print smaller text? I have slowed down the print, changed filament type, and several letters & numbers are not clear, especially 9s 3s. Keep up the good work. Love the way you explain the information. Thank you
Sure. There are a bunch of variables to take into account. 1 how small text(in mm) , what font type, nozzle size.
. 4mm or,. 2mm nozzle.
I may make a video about this too if interest is there.
@@ashleys3dprintshop I'm trying to make some coasters, using svg files. I'm using a 04 nozzle - the font size is approx 2mm. I found that if I take it down in regards to the layer height, it works but it is too thin and shows the background. I hope this makes sense... Thanks for the videos! Just a thought, but maybe a video on what everything does in the slicer...
