That’s a beautiful point. Is that heat treated Buffalo, if so what is the texture and quality like.. it has a look of flint ridge through the camera lens.. I’ve found Buffalo but it hasn’t looked as good as that material.
@@EDBO23 I’ve got 1 largerish bi-face Buffalo that I’d like to give you if I ever run into you again at a knap in… work has kept me from getting to any since I met you up in Tn… but maybe early spring I’ll be able to start making the knap in’s again. Thank you for the videos and the reply.. I’ll keep watching; you keep knapping! Have a great evening.
@@EDBO23 I really enjoyed the video got me wanting to try the bar.my problem is getting stone in New Jersey can't seem to find flint or chert I've got alot of cohansey Quartzsite wich is fossilized sandy bottom I've got to heat treat it once the Lenape used it so I know it's possible
Great job Charles.
Please, more videos of copper bar percussion. This was a gem.
Now you're knapping my style. Great job!
Eddy, there is deep skill here. I believe you could make a point using over-cooked broccoli.
I'd say it was a success! For those of us who are accuracy challenged that would make a nice punch for some type of indirect rocker set up.
Thanks Edbo.....Hi Scooby
Beautiful rock! Did you find this yourself?
Bought at a knapin. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

It is Buffalo river chert that is heat treated and medium quality.

I've been threatening to try a copper bar. I'd probably have already done it if my health wouldn't have changed.
I watched Joel use the copper bars at Ron's knap in. Where can you buy them? I haven't been able to find any.
ebay
You watched me too. I have a few copper bars I'm gonna make a few like mine with. Pm me if you want one.
Flintnappingsuppliesllc. I was just looking at one on their website and thinking of how it could be used and whether I wanted it or not.
Shame most of your work wasn't on viewable screen lower the camera bud
I wasn't trying to show the pressure flaking, just the bar percussion. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

I know the hurt. I grew up in Southern Mississippi were there was only small chert. In Alabama now I still have to buy rock at knapins and online.
