  • Vehicle electrification presents a new world of propulsion opportunities for enthusiasts and racers. One of the factors to speed up adoption is understanding how electrical systems work in an EV, and how they are similar or different from their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts. This video provides a general overview of the various electrical systems on an EV, the common components one will encounter on an EV, and how AEM EV products integrate into these systems to provide the calibrator with complete control for the ultimate driving experience - on the street and on the track.*

I already told my son to study for a carrier that will rule in the future and he already told me about EV technician. So I gave him the green light to go and learn it.

excellent video. I'm not in a position to do any conversion(s) yet, but I want to learn until I can. This video is great for a rundown of all the parts I need to research.

So when are we going to see over the air updates for the control units like the VCU300 and PDU-8? We really need a CarOS for the main control display that can control and update all those modules. Each shop could customize and brand it as needed but the the software would be the same to control all the functions of the car. Some company need to step up and becomes the Microsoft of car software. Bosch? GM? Anybody?

Is there BMS’s out there for the Model 3 batteries? Can you not use the can bus that is in newer cars?

The onboard charger uses what voltage input 120 or 240 Vac for plug in EV car?

Does this also work on boats? We're looking at a 70ft catamaran, and can't decide on proper control systems. do you have vidoes or examples of that?

I want AEMEV in Bangladesh. I don't like ICE anymore. I want a project EV Carina SX 1996 or Mark II 2003.. 😫 So many candidates.. 😥
What's the difference between an Tesla Motor and SynRM anyways ?

I liked the explanation of mechanics you converted electric cars conversions like Tesla swapped Mustang GT and Nissan leaf I would love to work a mechanic chopper electric cars conversions

Oh......... So me sitting on my 2006 Mustang GT, 2011 Mustang V6 and 2014 Camaro V6 isn't a bad idea after all... said the Electronic Technician with the FCC/NARTE Certification. Gee Whiz. Now I just have to sit here and watch the Electronics and Battery Technology get Cheaper and Cheaper. (Homey the Clown Smile)

Sorry what is FCC Certification for Technician? IIRC FCC does not authorize credentials for technicians. They certify devices.

iNARTE is a licening program for licensed spectrum Radio Operators. Almost has nothing to do with devices outside of Radio Transmission.

I prefer my electric vehicles batteries to be sourced from a third world country and strip mined by little children. There is nothing better than putting on a outfit from a third world country and you can still see the little blood marks from the children's fingers. That's how I feel about electric cars. You can feel the little bit of soul in each car from the children that mined all that lithium. How many children souls horsepower does your car have? Well I got my batteries from a third world country so it's got at least 100 souls in each battery
