I got the message from the video, it delivered the meaning. However, the dancers, the energy, the groove, it was all there for the live performances. No argument. He was #1 in my mind.
Can you please be the official commentator for like an official US broadcast of the Eurovision? You are so nice, so excited, so invested in the niche meanings that a lot of people even in Europe, it just flies over their heads. ❤

I’m not sure if you get around to reading comments on old videos, but just wanted to tell you that I discovered your Eurovision reactions today and they’re utterly fantastic, among the very best. I think word of mouth through the Eurovision fandom community will get you many thousands of new viewers. After going down a bit of a rabbit hole with this year’s songs, I was delighted to find your reaction to “Cha Cha Cha” (not the dance, it’s Finnish slang for chugging alcohol!) here. This song really should’ve won and Eurovision should be in Helsinki, not Malmö. Since you really seemed to enjoy Käärijä, I think you’ll like this collaboration here did with Tommy Cash, an Estonian singer. It’s thoroughly enjoyable Euro-kitsch. th-cam.com/video/NtOlguB6lg0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_9sWVGuAC6EtdfZH
Hi there!! I get aruond to it!! LOL. Thank so much for the comments and yeah, even though this is a rock based channel, I enjoy the contest and what it entails so I have been having a good time discovering all the artists that come out of it. A good handful of artists still get premiered on this channel....in fact, I have done 9 Käärijä reactions now: th-cam.com/play/PLr1W5jTF7tvHqM-T_jn6lYrMtSMbw9yJv.html
Käärijä is actually a nickname given to him by friends as when they playing cards He won always won rolled( käärii rahat taskuun. So kääriä is a verb and käärijä "profession "
@@DaneBramageROCKS That is the literal translation of the word, but the original meaning is "person who rolls the casino's / opposing players bills into their own pocket" in context. There is also Finnish slang for making money in general, "kääriä massia" (to wrap or roll up money), and a person who does this would be called a "massin *käärijä*", where the name Käärijä comes from.
the pronunciation was quite off but its probably hard to pronounce for people who don't use Ä in their language. but the its pronounced Kää-ri-jä. in Finnish u pronounce every single letter in a sentence, there are no silent letters in any word. i hope this helps
If you want to react something Else than just Eurovision song try some Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013). Finnish metal band 🤟🏻🔥 Much love to Käärijä, he is already my winner ❤
You said "kerazei" k sound was correct than you need ä witch is like a in apple just make it long and you have ää. R needs to roll. J was correct and in the end shot ä like a in apple. KÄÄ-RI-JÄ put the stress on first syllable.
Nice reaction! What comes to the Finnish (or any other) pronouncing, why don't you just look at Google translate and push the button to hear it.... Well, at the end "Käärijä" goes pretty well from you 🙂
Thanks!! Yeah I went to a read translation and tried to get it naturally, but this G-Translator does have good voice features. Ill check that. Thanks so much
Where did you look up the pronunciation ??? Kä where ä is pronounced like bat, cat, hat, sad, had and just then make the vovel looong like you are lengthening the word for emphasis (he haaad it, but he lost it) or like sighing (so,so saaad..) ri like in the word rip, j like u (pronounced /ˈjuː/) the first sound there is soft j and then just drop everyting after the j sound dropping the (j)"uu" part of it and we end with a one ä letter so säd. kää-ri-jä Pronunciation video : th-cam.com/users/shortsVfKKHBAlN0s?si=XKH6kE1b6VmqpQcL (don't read the text on top, but larger lettering lower) :)
In the beginning, you pretty much butchered the name. Big time! :) However, on the 2nd and the 3rd parts of the video, your pronounciation is quite ok. The "ä" is pronounced very close to the "a" in 'can'. As in "Can (you do it?)" Very open. The pronounciation goes "Kää-Ri-Yä". Remember to make it a very long "ä" in the first syllable - as if if you exclaimed "(Yes I) caaan!!" The "Ri" is as the first half of the word "rich", but with distinctly rolling 'R'. The closing "ä" is cut short. Sometimes you see that marked as "ah", where the 'h' must be silent. In a "nice to know" department: Käärijä translates as 'wrapper' - someone who wraps something in wraps. He is a rapper - with a "W"! :)
Yeah I did!! I have a reputation, LOL. So I watched a few interviews and found some great pronunciations, so hopefully, If I can cover him live in the finals, I'll have it right.

And I stay on this seat until I have to climb off it like a...
I head towards dance floor like a cha cha cha
And this world ain't making me scared no more
Like a cha cha cha when champagne all over myself I pour
Cha cha cha one eye keeps turning crossed too far
And talking is so hard when this different side of me does its part
Cha cha cha I don't usually go and drop my guard, not me
But now I am that guy, now I am that guy
I head towards dance floor like a cha cha cha
And this world ain't making me scared no more
Like a cha cha cha when champagne all over myself I pour
Like a cha cha cha
Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha aa-aah
Like a cha cha cha
Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha
Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha
Yeah I have the lyrics in the video description!

🤘🏻💕
I agree, he is live way better than in his officially video. I was a little bit dissappointed after seeing the video. But every live performance got better and better. He ended up as a second.
I got the message from the video, it delivered the meaning. However, the dancers, the energy, the groove, it was all there for the live performances. No argument. He was #1 in my mind.
Yes you are right about wrestling , look Käärijä cha cha cha original
Yes, I have seen the original video! Loved it.
Can you please be the official commentator for like an official US broadcast of the Eurovision? You are so nice, so excited, so invested in the niche meanings that a lot of people even in Europe, it just flies over their heads. ❤
I would absolutely love that. Thank you so much, I appreciate the compliment.
If it wasn't for Loreen this year I would want him winner, so so dissapointed he didn't get a better position. But now we know Käärijä❤
Yeah I was hoping he would have won. The rest of the world voted his as #1. Loreen still did amazing. She is great
💚💚💚💚💚
Thank You! 🙏🏻
Pronounciation of The name was pretty good👍 Thank you for nice rewiev of Käärijä,and he really does bring smile to everyones face, lets hope he wins! Greetings from Finland 😊
Oh good!! I was worried about that. I have a tendency to get names wrong! I hope it does well also, so far it is my favorite submission!
The pronounciation was terrible :D It's better to tell him the truth than let him believe he is correct.
@@jussi3539 Well, I did my best from what I read on how to pronounce it. At least I tried to get it correct.
@@DaneBramageROCKS google translate helps with pronunciation
@@Scheherasad Yeah I was checking that out! It is super helpful,. Thank You.
there is in the final loreen im very series and käärijä im really not serious in final. loreen win coz jugde say so. voting people win is kääriä :)
Oh how the first place was robbed from us...
True
Still feeling sore😢
@@marinapetrovic7691thank god he didn't win...ESC this year was a disaster
He stand by he's show
I'm excited to see him perform!
Madrid show something,
I’m not sure if you get around to reading comments on old videos, but just wanted to tell you that I discovered your Eurovision reactions today and they’re utterly fantastic, among the very best.

Hello sweeite, Käärijä is pronounced like, Ä is like in words Bad, sad, glad, so Bääd, Sääd, Glääd! That´s how you say a letter Ä and Käärijä.
Thanks so much for the clarification! Hope he does well and wins this year!
hello, they didn't change the tempo at the end, they just lowered the intensity xD
Hi!! Well, sure! The lyrics slowed a bit, or so it seemed! Still the clear winner in my mind.
You cannot vote for your own country. And even mine is good, and if I could, I am still rooting for this one.
Totally root for him, I hope he does well.

Original version and translation
th-cam.com/video/rNrgQm5z07U/w-d-xo.html
Yes, very familiar with this!!!
Käärijä is actually a nickname given to him by friends as when they playing cards He won always won rolled( käärii rahat taskuun. So kääriä is a verb and käärijä "profession "
I heard about that, but I thought it meant wrapper? Either way, I love this song, his performance and I hope he crushes it.
@@t-pnaminami3808 oh that is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing that, really good to know
You totally should react to the new MV of Käärijä + Tommy Cash, "It's crazy, it's party". 💚
That is 100% happening. Be on the lookout
@@DaneBramageROCKS Thanks a ton, can't wait! 💚💚💚
bro guessed that he had a wrestling outfit, and the music video is a kind of wrestling o boxing match
Yeah, I saw the official music video, but like the live better! I am just more of a live performance kind of person! Cheers!
the pronunciation was quite off but its probably hard to pronounce for people who don't use Ä in their language. but the its pronounced Kää-ri-jä. in Finnish u pronounce every single letter in a sentence, there are no silent letters in any word. i hope this helps
This does thank you! I tried watching interviews during EuroVision but everyone says it a little differently. I appreciate the transactions!
We are used to pay for a circus but these days its for free 😂
LOL. Excellent point.
He was ripped off. The fix was in for Sweden. No competition between this and guy and the Sweden performance.
Yeah, I am doing a bit of research and I'm gonna do a wrapup of everything. I had this song and 2 others, aside from Sweden, in the top three.
If you want to react something Else than just Eurovision song try some Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013). Finnish metal band 🤟🏻🔥
Much love to Käärijä, he is already my winner ❤
I do know Nightwish, but I have more than just EuroVision on the channel. I will cover multiple singers, bands and things of the sort!
You said "kerazei" k sound was correct than you need ä witch is like a in apple just make it long and you have ää. R needs to roll. J was correct and in the end shot ä like a in apple. KÄÄ-RI-JÄ put the stress on first syllable.
Yeah I have been watching a handful of interviews and I found out how to say it, but yes at the time I was not sure! Thanks so much for the help!
Kä where ä is pronounced like bat, cat, hat, sad, had
and just then make the vovel looong like you are lengthening the word for emphasis (he haaad it, but he lost it) or like sighing (so,so saaad..)
ri like in the word rip,
j like u (pronounced /ˈjuː/) the first sound there is soft j and then just drop everyting after the j sound dropping the (j)"uu" part of it
and we end with a one ä letter so säd.
kää-ri-jä
Pronunciation video : th-cam.com/users/shortsVfKKHBAlN0s?si=XKH6kE1b6VmqpQcL (don't read the text on top, but larger lettering lower) :)
Oh yeah, this was a while back though. In my last couple videos I did from him, I got better. Thanks for the comment and explanation. Cheers
Poor guys robbed last year! Hate comeback celebrities! Her last victory, Euphoria, fine, deserved, but last year, hell no!
2006 again...?
We shall see!
@@DaneBramageROCKS Close, but of course Finland lose against Sweden.😂
i think they need more concrete in liverpool ....
They are going to need a bigger wrestling ring!
Kaarija should have won, no question, he was robbed!
Agreed
Could this be about alcohol addiction?
I mean, dude is all about crushing Pina Coladas! It is about him working up the "courage" to go out and dance!
Maybe not a masterpiece but its catchy 😂😂
I mean, it should have won!! It was great.
@@DaneBramageROCKS Uhh not really winner material lol the outfits gives hunger games vibes
you definitely butchered Käärijä pronunciation
At first yeah! I watched some interviews and have it right now!
