What do you thing to buy one ks5l take risk in one hardware or buy 5 ka box pro i know profits is difference but am not that situation take too much risk i invest all money in gpu ? so my thoughts is one ks5l got problem then everything was gone to difficult buy 5 one two got problem we have 3 miner in hand what do you thing plz make clearity
IDK if Iceriver upgraded their thermal paste, or just attached 10,000+ rpm fans instead. Holy whine on those fans! That noise would be unbearable, lol.
As far as overclocking goes, apparently Iceriver has started "cryptographically signing their firmware". While it's "possible" to get around this, it will be very time consuming & technically difficult. I doubt we'll see a release of any OC firmware for the KS0 Ultra and KS5 family of miners.

so - the newer batch 5L miners are different in several ways, not just paste... new 4.5A fans that spin up to 7K RPMS (batch 1 KS5L fans only spun up to 6K. These also have the new connector we started to see on the S19K Pro intake fans - and they have new control boards obviously), they lowered the core clocks from 665 down to 650, and they yes - fixed the paste LOLOL

I have two KS5L's running in hot Texas heat for the past week and they have been solid. No throttling or thermal issues. When buying them I was a bit worried after the KS3 issues, but it seems like they did get things fixed.
For you guys HODLing KAS and not getting paid out in another coin... what do you use to cash out KAS if you need to? COIN doesn't deal with KAS. Thanks!
