    This is the best informational video for Amazon flex ive seen so far..thanks babe I appreciate ya! Also you are ABSOLUTELY correct when u say resign as opposed to letting them terminate you!!! This is my 7th time going back to Amazon. I literally just resigned last week and ive already been hired flex 19hr for grocery warehouse!!! This is my first time flex and my first time at a grocery warehouse....I hope I like it. I love the fact I can work when I want im just a little worried about not being able to get enough hours🤷🏻‍♀️ Im also wondering if I work nights or weekends will I get the differential pay or do we only get our base pay???

    Appreciate the video. I'm starting flex soon at a fulfillment center and wasn't sure how it worked. I worked at amazon before and it was the 3 day 12 hour shifts ... That was to much for me. So was curious about the flex shift. Thanks for the video!

    When I look up these positions I see 4h, 20h, or 40h by the position title. Is that referring to the minimum hours I need to work each week or is it the maximum hours I can do per week?

    I'm an Amazon Flex worker as well, warehouse location. I was thinking about going for the "blue badge", but flexible scheduling is nice for me. I have to work a minimum of 19 hours a week, but can work the max of 60 if I wanted mad overtime. I currently set my schedule for Mon-Thur with 10 hour shifts, which gives me that sweet 3 day weekend. Gotta have it. So true that if you have other things you love to do, or wish to pursue, flex is the way to go. I love the art scene, so a 3 day weekend is perfect for me. Great post, and I wish you much success in all that you pursue.

      So I was hired for the 19 hours- does that mean I can work more? I notice the person above said they could work 60 hours if they wanted to, is that a real thing? Cuz I’d love some more hours. I’ve worked there before but this was 12 years ago and they didn’t have all this new Flex Time stuff which is really convenient.

    I am here in Abilene Texas and after the 1st week of training I have only been able to pick up 2 hours. So frustrating to have to fight for a shift and they have too many people needing time. They only have 4 shifts at a time and they are gone before I can get in. I have slow internet speed and can't compete.

    • @financialfearlessblackgirl
      @financialfearlessblackgirl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's just how flex is. It sucks , that's one reason I left because it's kinda hard to make it a FT job until you have the flexibility to be able to work the graveyard shift because that's what is mostly available if your not quick enough. They do have a FLEX reduced time position that is better I hear.

    The best part about my mom’s flex job at Amazon, is she has feature in her app where she has access to future upcoming shifts in 3 weeks in advance! It’s the beginning of March, and she already picked up her shifts in advance for the first 3 weeks! Her schedule as flex right now at the moment is Saturday to Thursday
    Saturday to Monday: 6:30am to 3:29pm (Day shift)
    Tuesday to Thursday: 3:30pm to 1:44am (Night shift)

    Hi, thanks for the video. I have 3 questions... I was going to apply for the job, but I stopped the application for these reasons. so these are my questions:
    1) It required my SS number right away. I was afraid ti put my full SS number there for background check. Did you have to do that? I just want to make sure that I will not have my SS number leaked.
    2) The flex jobs says minimum 4 hours per week, and I would like to make more hours - but it also says is not guarantee that you will have more hours. Is it hard to get more hours?
    3) Is it easy to move to a full time schedule as soon as they have any available?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @financialfearlessblackgirl
      @financialfearlessblackgirl  ปีที่แล้ว

      1.) Yes! You need to provide your social security number before the orientation.
      2.) I answered this in the video
      3.) Yes and no. You have the option of requesting to transfer to another position , but the timeline for you to actually transfer may vary because it’s an internal transfer. If you want to switch to another shift , I would recommend quitting , if you can , and waiting for a better shift to pop up to chose and just be rehired.

    For the fulfillment center did you apply full time then switch to flex once you got the job ? Because fulfillment centers don’t have the option to apply as flex on the job’s website. • @financialfearlessblackgirl

      Up to 19 hours some weeks and up to 40-60 others , it all depends on the weekly cap tbh. Also it depends on how fast you are picking the shifts when it drops and as if you’re willing to take graveyards shifts (those will give you more hours).

      @@littlegirl_280 No, you don’t have to speak with HR. You pick the shifts that works with your life schedule ( after training) You’re basically your own scheduler in a sense, you decide what day and what time you want to work. When it comes down to training, the training hours are usually set but you can inform HR or whoever is training you, if you can’t make it to the training days and they’ll most likely compromise with you and change the days or time. Also shifts typically range from early morning to late night. I hope this helps ;)

      @financialfearlessblackgirl I don't recommend it unless you're okay with shopping nonstop for 5 hours (flex/part time) or 10 hrs plus a day full time. Then after every cart you finish the system switches you from ambient to chill to freezer. I preferred ambient but I did t have the manage "hookup" to get them to keep me there.

      @@financialfearlessblackgirlhi, thanks for your reply. I transferred to another site for a flex RT schedule. I’m fortunate to work at a pretty awesome site! I have accrued points for not meeting my 30 hours minimum, but it doesn’t happen often and thankfully the points expire after 60 days! I miss having UPT, but I love having some control over my schedule. So far it’s working out well!
