I'm working the 30-hour schedule. It's perfect for me. I think 40 hours for this job is too much. But I do pick up additional shifts if I really need to.
Now I work part time 20 hours a week, class Q as a Ship Dock in Omaha Ne FC on day shift. When I applied, I thought I get medical benefit but later I figure out unless I work 30 hours a week. If I knew that, I would apply 30 hours a week so I can get medical benefits, vacation paid and holiday paid. Right now I am thinking to apply Flex 30 as an Inbound Stow but I don't know whether it is easy to pick schedule or not
I don’t know exactly know why it’s easier , but from my experience there was just allot more shift options available. The Shift options I saw ranged from 2.5 hours - 7.5 hours.
@saljpal3 my current delivery station does do 10 hours shifts some days or if you can , just choose two 5 hour shifts (if available) back to back. Flex doesn’t get UPT
Hi, thank you for watching and it really depends on your site because of your site does not offer a lot of shifts or if it’s a hard time finding shift, you may have to find a second job
I just applied for Amazon flex 19hours a week. So we can work a min of 4 hours a week and We really don’t get in the trouble for that right? Because you know how people can steal the hours just like that ? And we can’t schedule it? What happened if there’s no time for us to pick, can we schedule to work a certain time and come back to work another hour(s)? EX. Like, work 2 hours and come back to work another 2 hours? I need a night time schedule and I’m scared that I won’t be able to snatch any time right away. I’m already freaking out. I wonder if there’s a trick to get snatch those hours. It’s hard becuase I want my part time flex hour to be set and consistent but apparently it will be harder than what I expected! My bestfriend work at the sortation center in another state and she has a set Flex Time schedule, that is set and consistent. So lucky. While I probably have to fight for my schedule lol. Can we also schedule to work like 6-7 hours a day if we know that it will be hard to snatch the schedule ? Or work 10 hours a day so we don’t have to worry about getting 19-20 hours a week ? I’m sorry. I’m just want to make sure I know what I’m doing ! Thank you SO MUCH! I haven’t find a recent update videos on Amazon flex schedule. I’m glad you post this up 19 hours ago.
Hey! Yes , for 19 HR it’s only required of you to work 4 hours a week. The shifts may be limited at your warehouse and get snatched up fast, but there still will be at some point during the week a shift available for you to work (whether or not it is ideal for your schedule). You can schedule back to back if the shifts are available. I actually transferred to a delivery station for flex & it’s horrible right now with trying to hours , but hopefully the upcoming peak season will make more shift available. Different warehouses (sort, delivery , fulfillment) have different times for their shifts , so you’ll really have to see once you start the specifics about your site. I will say that night time shifts are more available than morning and midday because no one wants the graveyard shift. FYI , I have a 19 HR flex video from a year ago , if u want to check it out. Same information but just specifically about my time with 19 HR
@@financialfearlessblackgirl thank you for answering me back! I was really worried because the lady that interviewed me she said I can work 4 hours a week and I’m like ‘am I hearing it right?. lol. And so I wanted to make sure that I can only work 4 hours a week if I can’t do 19hours a week. I watched your other video but that was a long time ago and so I didn’t know if you will be able to answer my question in that video lol. Until I saw this recent video and so I’m like yay! I just needed a work schedule for night, right after 5pm. And so I get super scared that I might not be able to snatch any time during that time lol. Plus, I can’t assign to work past midnight because I have to take my kids to school in the morning. And I’m the only person working on night while my family work day shift. Lol so I will be so exhausted! For you, what is a good tip on how you will be able to snatch the schedule ? I know that sounded so bad because are going crazy for it aha. I will be going through my training after thanksgiving and I’m just nervous. I worked at other company jobs and I’m not as worried. But having to deal with the schedule, points and etc is what will frustrate me just becuase the flex schedule is not set or consistent! It seems like Amazon uses military time , I’m not quite sure. I heard it’s hard to get in contact with HR. So I just hope that my luck will be in prayers aha. AGAIN, I just want to say thank you so much for responding! I think I might have to pick or pack and I’m nervous.
@@DONNAASAURR no problem at all , thanks for viewing my videos. You had an actual interview? If so , what state are you in? Amazon does use military time when emailing , but not on the A to Z app. For this warehouse I’m at now, they post shifts Sun-Fri at 8:15 PM but for some reason I don’t actually see them become available , although I continuously reset the page at 8:15 PM. My method for shifts now is to add any shift I see pop up (unless I know 100% I can’t take it or it’s too close to drop without a point) and after I know I have decide if I can do it or not. At least this way I will have some hours , it may just not be 100% my ideal schedule. Don’t be nervous , it’s not that bad. Just do what you can because you know that your not a full time worker and that you don’t technically have to keep coming back everyday because your flex. @@DONNAASAURR Hey, I as well applied for the flex position and my training days are after thanksgiving too! I’m in FL. It’s too bad you’re location is at OK, we could have been nervous together! lol. I hope all goes well for you!
I just applied to reduced time (30hrs) and got approved. I have until the 15 to decline if i want to. Im currently fulltime. Now my reason for wanted to go to rt is because i can work up to 50-60 hrs week if i want. But then i realised its not that simple. Shifts arent going to be available every week especially if its slow. Like how vet or even vto works. So it makes me wonder is it worth it to go to rt or should i stay fulltime. Even if its slow, fulltime im still getting 40 hrs while rt im only at 30 hrs. Should i keep my fulltime or try out rt? I can always reapply back to fulltime though after 30 days if rt isnt working out
Try out the Flex! I am currently working in this modality and I don't regret choosing it at all! The trick I do when snagging shifts at the moment they are available is just pick 6, full days of them for the next week. Then, for the desired days I want to work, I just drop the days I don't want to work in as long as they are dropped 16 hours ahead of time so I don't suffer a 2 Attendance Points penalty. For example, mine shows up at 6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays so I waste no time just plucking 6, 10-hour shifts for the next week from Sunday to Saturday then dropping them later on to easily finalize the days and hours I want to work in! If you want to take a week or two weeks off without working at all, simply don't pick any shifts for those weeks and you only lose 1 point out of 8 per week due to below required weekly hours which will expire after 60 days. That's a massive time-off advantage over any other modality that uses UPT which you could vacation out of without pay! The only downside I see is you only got your PTO to depend on in case you need to leave a shift early or show up to work late if you don't want your Attendance Points to count against you. Otherwise, 1 out of 8 Attendance Points will be deducted if you are late or 2 out of 8 if you are completely absent. Good luck and have fun with your new schedule!
yea does seem like it. i applied for it thinking it would be a fixed schedule just 3 night shifts. 10 hours back to back. my previous schedule was working 4 nights 10 hours. im starting my 6 hour shift tmr.

What are the paycheck like working 30hrs weekly?
I saw you have to choose your shifts weekly?
Do you get full benefits as a flex 30? Bc I’m seeing different answers online.

@ericavillarreal5533 yeah flex reduced time 30 hours gets benefits not the part time 4/19 hr one

The hours will depend on the type of facility you work from (ex: Fulfillment Center , Delivery Station, Sort)
