Andre, I had to laugh when your son scolded you. That was great! I've got a tip for you if you didn't /don't already do this. I ALWAYS do this. 1. Come to a full stop with vehicle in drive. 2. While keeping foot on the regular brake, move the gear selector to neutral and fully apply the parking brake (hand brake, foot parking brake, or electronic parking brake). 3. Take your foot off the regular foot brake and allow the vehicle's weight to settle on the parking brake (usually doesn't move at all if applied fully). 4. Now slide the gear selector into park. This completely prevents the vehicle from "rocking" when parking on a hill /sloped driveway, 'trying to connect your trailer, or just everyday. I literally do this every time I park even if I'm not on a hill. Makes an incredible difference with big trucks and motorhomes. It will also help save your transmission. To get going again after you hook up your trailer. 1. Start the vehicle with the parking brake still applied and before you disengage it put the vehicle in gear (forward or reverse). With your foot on the regular brake release the parking brake. The vehicle won't move until you're ready but you will have noticed how buttery smooth it was to move the gear selector to D or R. None of the vehicle's weight was resting on the transmission, so it was free to move through the gear box. Hope you try this and it helps you out. Don't want to have your son scold you again. Haha
James Herman Stated perfectly I wonder how many people don’t know to do this. When I look to buy a used car , I always ask the owner to drive me around as well as test driving it myself
Andre very nice to see you enjoy time with the family and get to test out the gear at the same time, awesome job that weekend. Your son is funny, enjoy the age they grow very fast. The old campers that had a split going into the upper part for a taller door always leaked so that short door helps for weather. Stay safe and healthy guys.
I am surprised that you did not use a surge protection device when you connected to shore power. Nasty things ( expensive things ) can happen to the electronics in the camper when connected to shore power.
Also turn off the power at the pedestal before you hookup your power cord. Attach your surge protector (assuming you buy one) to the pedestal then turn on the power to check the current. Turn off the power again, attach your power cord to the surge protector and the camper and turn on the power. Like Bill Beverly said, expensive things can happen, especially in older RV parks and state parks. When someone is helping me backup to a trailer, I stop a couple inches short of the coupler, then I get out to see what minor adjustments I need to make and sure the coupler is higher than the ball. This is better than getting under the ball and your helper says “over 2”. Since I do sometimes hookup trailers myself, I invested in a cheap magnetic backup camera. My wife calls it the “Marriage Saver”. 🤪
Great combo!!! I’m considering an F250, 7.3l gas with a double cab, FX4 package with a Norweld Flatbed and a Four Wheel Campers Hawk Flatbed model for my family.
Did you see how far the truck squatted down when he put the hitch in? lol You can buy hitches with different curves to fit your trailer tongue that are much lighter! Good looking rig and a great video.
This was a real world payload test of this vehicle. Can you please post your estimated combined weight, Camper, Trailer Tongue Weight, Passengers, and gear and compare that to the rating on the door sill? It appeared as though the truck was quite comfortable loaded down.
I loved this video in that it pertains to my needs with a slide in camper vs towing one. Have you considered a hard side slide-in like a Northern Lite or Lance? Boondocking off-road and on the beach, not hardcore just get you out there? You do more reviews on towing capability and would hope to see more reviews on payload. Thanks for all that you guys are doing!
It was great to see Andre taking his kids for some family fun out at the lake camping. But just one thing. Did you attach an surge protector to the wire? Electricity at campsites many times are unreliable and I've heard of horror stories of things in the RV getting fried including the whole RV electrical system.
I'm really interested in how much effort is required to install and remove the truck bed camper unit. I'm currently running a f250 6.7 super duty to tow a toy hauler with a RZR in the back. But a lot of places I like want to go are restrictive when it comes to accessibility. Also what is the bathroom situation like on one of these 😉
You can't add A/C after the fact (well at least not cheaply). FWC frames up the aluminum differently if optioned. They are awkward residential window units however, that from what I've read live short lives. Terrible location to ad weight for CG and being aft of axle. The idea with a FWC, travel to where you don't need air-con. 😁
I signed in to give this video a like because you are 6'2" and actually showed how you fit in the sleeping area. Most people just say they fit or that the sleeping area will accommodate up to a certain length without actually showing it.
I really like Andre's family videos, but I have a ton of respect for the fact that he is very conscious of the privacy of the rest of his family. His kids should get to choose to be a part of the TFL family like Tommy did, when he's old enough.
@@philtripe .... I've worked on construction projects the last 35 years .... do what you gotta do .... fill it with sand and keep the lid .... clean out after each use.
Ok guys...thats a bad ass truck for sure. But...why do you call it a "Super Tremor" when it doesn't have the factory goodies that a real Tremor has like a limited slip front diff and rock crawl mode ect. Would you call call a Ram 2500 with a lift a "Super Power Wagon?" I surely hope not, so why not give the Tremor the same respect?
That door would be easier to fit through Andre if you'd cut back on all those craft beers and White Russians. I think you've packed on a few KOVID Kilo's these past months there comrade... 🤔😁
Thumbs down. TFL has been pimping this Tremor like Ford has been pimping the Bronco. Would like to finally see the adventure planned with Andre and Nathan using this truck going cross country.
Have you heard there is a virus going around and people are not allowed to travel in some places. The route has states that have all rec areas closed so you cannot do the route yet.

I kinda do the same but I drive manual.
Full brake then apply handbrake and reverse gear if downhill or flat, first gear if uphill.
Hello James, yes it made for a great video. I was not worried about the truck rocking too much here, because I can move this empty trailer by hand.
James Herman Stated perfectly I wonder how many people don’t know to do this. When I look to buy a used car , I always ask the owner to drive me around as well as test driving it myself
Man kids crack me up lol, when he said why did you do that, I chuckled.
This was awesome!!! Man gets to go camping with his family for his job!!! This truck is absolutely bonkers!!! Keep up the great work guys!!!
That Carli tow hitch receiver on that F250 has some outstanding welds at 6:14

The "cassette toilet" (if there is any at all) is always the showstopper for me on these pop-up campers.
I grew up on horsetooth. Miss it so much. Been there more times than I can't count.
Why do you have a 30 amp outlet on your camper and then use a 20 amp adapter to plug into the 20 amp GFI when there was a 30 amp outlet in the box
Love these family vacation vlogs! Nice job, Andre!
Andre, I hope you know how much of an awesome person you are!
7:33 she looks cranky LOL
I am also about 6 2, how easy is it to enter the camper? Since the door is not full height. Would you recommend it for older tall wide people. Thanks

You guys should do an OG compact truck comparison. S10 ZR2 vs Ranger XTREME vs the Dakota and tacoma versions. I dont remember those.
What is payload on your truck? Im thinking about getting f250 with 7.3.
I see you with the And 1 shorts Andre!
Top video looks cool 😎

7.3 Supercharger!!!

3.55 rear end
This truck with the 7.3 gasser has 3.55 but can be optioned with 4.30, which they wish they had I bet

Ok so if AC is optional and you choose not to get it how can you mark it down for not having it? Asking for a friend. ;)
Actually, we learned that this specific floor-plan does not allow for an AC. The other floor-plans do...
What brand or what is the name of the camper? Do you have a web site for the camper?
Are you guys going to be able to do the cross country off pavement run or has it been canceled due to CoVid.

Yea!
