if you die in the ganondorf fight, the game actually autosaves right after army. its just a weird autosave that doesnt show up in the load menu and is deleted if you exit the game. so you didnt actually have to refight army, muktorok, and queen gibdo
Hey! Loved this series. Here's a thought that I think might make this a lot more interesting/difficult: No item duplication, BUT, you are allowed to use arrows as long as you fuse something to them. Drastically changes up the gameplay!
I used to think I'd totally be able to pull this off until you reached Mucktorok and realised that nope, I might be a patient and tedious player but that level of frustration is too much for me ahsjdsjd kudos for that, real cool challenge 🙌 (aaand since zelda poured her power into restoring the master sword, technically it's different from botw so u're cleared in my book ✌)

I can’t promise literally every challenge video you make I’ll be interested in, but I’ll at least check em out. As for the dragon cutscene… yeah no. I personally wouldn’t count quick time events as breaking through rules, regardless of challenge run. Especially considering you didn’t once have to use a breath of the wild item during regular gameplay. So I say; It’s still a challenge success!

I am very glad that I struck a very specific niche that no one had done yet and happy that lots of people are enjoying the Pokédex challenge, next vid will likely be Gen 7 so hope you look forward to that :) but of course I do want to future-proof the channel by making other videos in case I can't think of another cool Pokémon challenge to do once that one is done

Technically TotK’s Master Sword is different from BotW’s as fusing something to it adds green Zoni text to the sword, it has a new description, and under the right light you can see where the new blade starts and the old one ends
Honnestly there's no way of actually checking if that sword IS the mastersword. Since you can't open your inventory and look at what it's called or the stats. Maybe it's a clone of the mastersword with specific properties for the cutsciene.
Playing this game without bow and arros was incredible hard and it was clear when you started fighting bosses like mucktorok. Really impressive, I was skeptical if you could finish the game at all. Item duplication and ancient blades were crucial

I have suffered from insomnia for many years. I feared for a long time I would never get any sleep. I was like a zombie. Then I discovered "Beating Tears of the Kingdom without using Breath of the Wild items". The dulcet Scottish tones, the subtle yet tasteful humour, the impeccable explanations... I was rendered unconscious by the sheer perfection of the video. I awoke 23hrs later, having missed work, my grandmothers funeral and my anniversary dinner. Now my wife, my family and my boss want nothing to do with me. Thank you kiwi for ruining my life.
Obviously, other people have mentioned that you can use the hydrants during Mucktorok, and you used your fire truck to great effect after a while, but there's actually a lot of other really good options with Zonai builds you can use to beat up bosses. My favourite Mucktorok strategy is attaching a hydrant to the roomba - apparently it's called a homing cart - and literally just letting it loose. It's so fun. You just watch your little roomba go clean up the octopus. The roomba even has a stabby little spike on the front so it can hurt the octopus if it tries hard enough. Similarly, I think you would have had a surprising amount of success floating around the double cannon if you just attached it to a construct head. I'm not entirely sure how consistent it would have been, but it definitely would've been funny. A lot of the bosses in the game can be managed by pointing a roomba with a construct head and cannon at it. It usually isn't very good under normal circumstances, but that's because you usually have a sword and a bow.
Ah I never actually thought of that, and I went out of my way to get the construct head in part 2 - I am certainly learning a lot of other cool interesting ways to do this challenge though

I’m going to suggest looking at Wolf Link’s *Tears of the Kingdom Minimalist 100% Run* for ways to potentially get past some of the restrictions that you ran up against during this challenge
The final strike uses the Zelda improved master sword, but it's a different weapon because it has different mechanics and a different model. Sooooooo... Maybe still ok?

@@KillerKiwi1642 That's not correct. If you die and click continue you will respawn right before fighting ganondorf. But if you click return to title which I assume you did because you said you took a break it will respawn you before the whole gauntlet,
yknow, why didnt you ever use fuse? the horns are different from the ones in botw, plus even it you did count the boko and lizal horns as the same from botw, theres still horriblin and boss bokoblins
Yeah I did start to do that all the way at the end when I realised that Ancient Blades are actually not that great since you only get one hit out of them
So the first time I fought Mucktorock casually I built a tank with a bunch of hydrants on the front. I can't think of any reason you couldn't have done it that way.

I would also add, you can use korok seeds (because there is no way your beating the game without more inventory space if you can't dupe

iirc the game sets a checkpoint before the final battle. pretty sure you could have restarted there after your death
